The house was transformed over the next two weeks. The witches were being used in every single battlefield now and Aris worked around the clock to keep the kingdom from falling into ruins. I couldn’t see any of that, as it all took place behind closed doors and I was never allowed to have any visitors. All I saw was how our house, which had been expertly renovated, had fallen back into ruins. The reason for that was quite simple.
