There was a knock on the door and Lincoln walked over to open the door for his dear wife, Electra.
Electra couldn't wait for Lincoln to catch his breath before latching onto him, her arm around his shoulder as she cupped his lips most lustfully.
Katherine’s head snapped and her eyes were ablaze with fury. She couldn't believe what was going on in her matrimonial home - her step-sister was actually kissing her husband.
Her body sizzled in shock as she struggled to contain her emotions.
“Electra?!” She called out, the rest of the words hanging in her throat.
Her voice made its way into Electra’s ear forcing her to break off her sensual moment.
Electra had a blank look on her face as she angled her gaze toward her step-sister. “What are you doing here? What the hell is she doing here babe?” She turned toward Lincoln.
“Is that how low you have stooped?” Katherine responded with a question of hers. “You really have no shame making out with your sister’s husband.”
“Step-sister!” Electra raised her voice, trying to correct Katherine that they were only step-sisters and not related by blood. “And by the way, what exactly makes you think that you have any claim to Lincoln?”
“We are still a couple and that means…”
Katherine was going to make a case for herself before Electra cut her off.
“Not anymore, darling,” Electra responded, feigning a caring look before raising her ring finger toward Katherine.
“Look at this, I am now engaged to Lincoln so you can go to hell with whatever claim you think you have.”
Katherine shook her head slowly from side to side. The same old devious Electra, she thought. Nothing had changed about her.
She hoped inwardly that Electra didn't see the divorce papers lying pretty on the sofa but noticed something worse.
“Is that a baby bump you have there?” she asked, crossing her arm and leaning closer.
Katherine slumped her shoulder as she noticed her step-sister’s anger rising.
Lincoln just stood still, crossing his arms as he had a proud smile on his face. He knew that Electra was going to deal with Katherine and he was there to add more salt to her wounds just in case Katherine was not humiliated enough.
“You know what? A b***h like you deserves the worst treatment. I should have done this a couple of weeks ago but because we haven't settled in together fully, I haven't been able to do it,” she uttered, stomping across the room and reaching toward Katherine’s luggage and wardrobe.
“I will teach you a lesson that you have never been taught before,” she continued as she kicked the base of Katherine’s wardrobe before forcing it open with her bare hands, a loud creak filling the air.
With a burst of adrenaline, she grabbed a pile of Katherine’s clothes, hurling them out of the wardrobe before walking outside like a possessed and flinging them into the air.
The clothes landed on the ground, and the mud formed from the drizzle rubbing all over Katherine’s clothes.
“If you think you can use that stupid thing inside your belly to stake a claim on my soon-to-be husband, you must be joking.”
Electra’s movements were frantic as she returned to the wardrobe to pack up another pile of Katherine’s clothes. “I don't even know what you are doing here in this house. Everything here belongs to me and my fiance and anything else is just something that belongs to the trash.”
Katherine turned her gaze towards Lincoln hoping that he was going to put in a word for her. He couldn't just watch as her step-sister threw away her clothes. They lived together for over a year and he had to have felt something toward her.
But Lincoln set his mouth in a thin line as if he was the one issuing orders to Electra. His jaw was strong and he looked like he was ready to inflict more pain on her at any moment.
“It is funny how you think I married you because of love. You are not worth it, darling,” Lincoln finally uttered, his face contorted into a sneer.
“I only married you because of the mansion inheritance that I was due to receive from my grandfather’s will. If I had not married you or anyone else for that matter, I would have lost out on such a huge bequest.”
“Why did you think I was suddenly talking about moving into another mansion? Good thing I didn't mention that you were coming with me,” Lincoln wiped a fake tear from his eye to mock Electra again.
“Hahaha,” Electra joined in the show of mockery. “Did you hear that? You don't deserve Lincoln, dear.”
Electra got outside with another heap of her clothes, ready to throw them into the mud again like she did the last time but she was met with resistance from Katherine who slammed her hand into Electra’s shoulders in an attempt to get her clothes from being thrown away.
“What?! Did you just lay your filthy hands on me?!” Electra seethed, her nostrils flared as she ground her teeth together.
Before Katherine’s brain could interpret her feelings into words, she received a loud thud to her face.
A loud slap sent shock waves down her spine as she fell to the ground in pain.
Katherine’s vision went blurry immediately as her scream could be heard from the rooftops. “No! I swear, this is unfair. Please save me, anyone! Save me.”
There was no saving for her, instead, it was more pain being inflicted on her. Electra folded her fist and took a few steps backward like she was preparing to take a penalty kick - her whole strength diverted to her legs as she launched toward Katherine’s body repeatedly.
“Please. Careful, my stomach hurts. Please…”
Katherine was writhing in pain as she wondered what she did to deserve the treatment she was getting.
“Now, this is what you get for trying to pin a bastard son on my fiance,” she hurled over Electra.
Electra leaned against a hedge, her energy drained as she felt something strange in her stomach. This couldn't have happened while she was pregnant.
There was something inside of her that needed to be protected and despite her best efforts to protect herself, she could sense danger. Her eyes were closing and she could barely move.
“Now, don't waste that little strength that you still have inside of you, sign the f*****g document,” Lincoln threw up his arm and flung the divorce papers toward a wounded Katherine.
“Such a pity that I could never love you.”
