Today is the day, the day I find my mate and take her home. I will admit I have been extremely impatient that I was getting on everyone’s nerves. I have kept her appearance a secret, no one knows she has sapphire eyes… If word got out and the Sapphire pack discovered her, they would surely take her away, and I can’t let that happen. I will send them word once the mating has been completed, and she is Luna to Dark Crest Pack. Suddenly I am pulled from my thoughts, “Bro I have never seen you like this; I know she’s your mate, but you have done a complete turnaround… It’s kind of scary, haha.” You think that’s scary, Jeremy? I give him a stare and he raises his hands in his defense. Once you find your mate, she will change you.  “Why don’t you call Uncle Richard, he actually lives there now after the council sent him out to investigate and he found his second chance mate there, Luna Miranda. He specifically said this is the will of the Moon Goddess and the council agreed. They’re saying she is the Moon Goddess herself, but no one knows what she looks like.”

I c**k my head and stare at him, did you just say Luna Miranda?! “Yeah, why?” I bolted out of my office to find my parents. As I am running through the pack house, I hear their laughter coming from the lounge room. MOM, DAD! Luna Miranda… she’s alive! “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” My mother cried out with tears filling her eyes. Jeremy said Richard has been living in Luna Persephone’s pack and Luna Miranda is his second chance mate! My mother was screaming for joy and calmed herself, “She’s been rogue until Persephone showed up, this is certainly the Moon Goddess work. She was leaving the room and she turned back to say I have an old friend to meet with a warm smile on her face. “Son, let us get ready and draft up the pack alliance, and discuss gifts for Luna Persephone.”

Already done, dad. Go get ready and I will meet you downstairs, Jeremy will have the guards bring the car around once we’re ready. He nodded his head in approval and left, I ran to my room and pulled out a black tuxedo, looking over the invitation again reading it “Black and White Tie” Richard must be going all out for Luna Persephone. Maybe this is his second chance at having a family, a small smile crossed my face, I should bring a gift for Miranda and himself as well. As I continued getting ready, I decided to go with a white bow tie, not to show off but to impress the Luna. Once I was ready, I put on my cufflinks and slicked my hair back to show off my features that my mother loved so much. I started heading downstairs and my mother and father were already waiting. Jeremy is everything packed, and did you get the gift for Richard and Miranda? “Yes, Alpha!” I smiled, everyone to the car, I have a mate to find.

(Persephone’s POV)

I woke up filled with so much anxiety. What if he will be there, I don’t know if I’m ready Perse?!

Breathe Persephone, we are ready. All wolves respect the mate bond, he will not force us if you’re not ready. I am sure he will be there, something about him screamed power, he must be an Alpha. No mere man or wolf could control us.

She let out a playful growl cracking me up. “What is so funny, dear?” Oh, Mother Luna, its nothing really. “I know that look, I too have been where you are, twice, and please call me Miranda. My Luna days are far behind me, do you want to talk about it?”

Well, there’s not much to say… I was on my run and stopped but my favorite lake, and he was there. Stuttering, staring at me like he has never seen a woman before, haha. I panicked and ran, Perse thinks he is an Alpha, and we might see him tonight. I’m nervous, Miranda. She guided me too my vanity and sat me down and started brushing my hair smiling. “The moon goddess would not pair you with someone who is not worthy of you, and what happened to him was the mate pull, it turns even the strongest wolves into lovesick puppies.”

Richard and you have been like parents to me, I would not have been able to do this without you two, and the girls… I looked at her and tears started streaming down her face, Miranda? “I never had a child of my own, and I am honored that you think of me as your mother.” She hugged me tightly and started doing my hair placing white flowers in the waves of my hair. “I think we should keep your makeup natural, no need to have your true beauty. The dress and accessories are ready, I had them custom made by an old friend. She could not be here, but she sends her best wishes, and she sent this gift for you.” As I take small box and open it, I find a beautiful moonstone necklace with a note. The Sapphire pack knows about me now… “They have known for quite some time child; it is my friend who has been letting you be where you are…” What do you mean, Miranda? “She is former Luna of The Sapphire Pack, Lucille. She might show up, but she is a known reclusive, so we will find out tonight.” I see, well let’s see this dress you had made! When she unzips the bag, I started crying. Miranda engulfed me into a tight hug and said yes you do! You have no idea what you have done for everyone in this pack, including Richard and I. Rogues don’t get second chances, wolves have never had a Luna as their Alpha. Especially one who is so compassionate. I looked up at her smiling, thank goodness we didn’t put on a lot of makeup. Both laughing she took out the dress.

The dress was a white A-line silhouette, a corset with built in pads and boning, a cinched waist followed by a floor length pleated skit with white mesh and net. The dress has pockets, bot to mention its embellished with embroidered pink and green flowers… Now I felt like royalty, I said out loud making Miranda giggle. She placed helped me put on a moon stone crystal jewelry set and the necklace that was made just for me. Once my outfit was complete, I put on my white closed toe heels. Miranda was in awe and called in all the girls who were already finished. They were all screaming with joy, as I turned around so they could see the whole look. Your Luna Ceremony dress is probably the most amazing one to have ever existed! Eliza shouted.

UGGH! I almost fell over if it was not for Alex and Diana catching me. “Persephone?!” What do you see Persephone? Tell us! Miranda shouted. I see… I see three women approaching our pack boarders during the party, th- they are the other guards and one of them is different… “It’s okay, you did you a great job explaining as much details as you can. What we know is that sometime during the party the rest of the Luna’s Guards will be here. One is not like the other, so we must brace ourselves, t could be any supernatural being. Their pack initiation must be tonight. This will cause some disturbance amongst the other packs.” Miranda calmly stated, and we all just looked at her in awe, Diana speaks up first, well we got a plan.

We all nod and begin making our way downstairs, the guest have been arriving little by little. . Miranda looks at me, alright you will be the last person to arrive at your party, you must make a grand entrance in front of the packs and council. Richard and I will be right outside waiting for you, and we will all walk up on stage together, and we will sit on either side of you. I look at her with worrisome eyes and she chuckles, we won’t leave you. You adopted us as your parents, ad parents we shall be to you. She kissed my forehead and left me in the lobby waiting to be announced.
