Chapter3

Nora woke up feeling so tired and weak and she reached out to her phone on the table but she noticed that it wasn’t her phone that was on the table instead it was a telephone. The structures and interiors of the room she was in wasn’t the same as the one she was used to.

Nora stood up and she started taking a walk round the room. Her eyes were fixed on the pictures hung on the wall and she suddenly saw billionaires Derick’s picture on one of the portraits hung on the wall.

Just then, a lady dressed in a chef attire came inside the room to attend to Nora. Nora who didn’t know how and when she got into Derick’s house was so shocked. The lady then asked Nora what she would love to have for breakfast?

Nora then told her that she isn’t hungry instead she should get her just a glass of water. Not that Nora wasn’t hungry but she didn’t just feel comfortable eating where she wasn’t familiar with. The lady then left Nora’s room and headed to the kitchen to get a glass of water for Nora.

Nora got dressed and she was heading to the gate of the house so she could find her way back to her parent’s house but unknown to her, billionaire Derick has given orders to his officers not to allow her step out from the gate.

Nora walked back upstairs and laid down on the bed. She was so disappointed that her plans to escape didn’t work out. It was then she started recalling the event that happened before she fainted.

Nora was so angry and frustrated because she was stranded as she didn’t have any means of communication to reach out to her parents. The only thing Nora could do was cry and after that she slept off.

Nora woke up seeing billionaire Derick by her side and she was quite intimidated by his statue. Nora was so speechless but after a while, she greeted him and she tried to shift away from him because he was coming too close to her and she didn’t like it.

Derick stood up from the bed and got into the bathroom to have a shower. He came out and saw Nora staring round the room, he then welcomed Nora to his home and ushered her to feel at home. This girl must be insane if she thought that I would pay the hospital bills for her father and not get anything in return, Derick thought to himself.

Nora kept a straight face and didn’t want to engage in too many conversations with Derick. She hasn’t seen her parents in a while and she needed to know how they were coping, so she asked Derick if she could go and see her parents but Derick turned down her request and told her that her parents are only allowed to come see her but she couldn’t step out of the house.

Nora couldn’t believe that all this was happening to her, she could recall the times that everything was going so smoothly for her and now she’s being ripped off of her own freedom of movement all because she wanted to save the life of her father. Nora started to cry again until she fell asleep.

Nora woke up again for the second time seeing Derick by her side but this time around he was asleep and his hands were round her. Nora immediately took his hands off her body and silently started walking towards the door.

Suddenly, she made a sound and it made Derick wake up immediately.Derick then asked where she was going and she told him that she was heading downstairs. Derick was so insecure anytime Nora tried leaving the room because he knew she could try running away again like before.

Derick didn’t want to take any chances so he told Nora to come and sit down while he called on the maid to get Nora whatever she wanted. Derick became so over protective about her and did everything within his power to ensure she didn’t have any chance of running away again.

Nora came back and sat down on the bed while derick stepped outside. Nora noticed that there were some stacks of envelopes on the table and she was so curious to know what those envelopes entailed.

So she decided to open them to keep herself busy, Nora opened the first one and she saw that of her picture and derick’s own with an inscription boldly written “Derick weds Nora”

As Nora opened the other envelope, she saw the same thing on other envelopes. She was so confused because she wasn’t even aware when the wedding flier was made. As she was packing up the envelopes, derick came inside the room.

Derick knew that Nora had seen the content of the envelopes so he kept on smiling until Nora asked him to explain what the meaning of what she saw in the envelopes were. It was then that Derick realized that he hasn’t told Nora about the wedding plans.

Nora seemed so impatient as Derick wasn’t going straight to the point as to why he started making the wedding plans without her consent. Nora got more frustrated when he made everything she was saying seemed like a joke.

Nora got more frustrated when Derick told her that with or without her consent, he was still going to marry her. Derick made her understand that he had an agreement with her father and as such, she must keep to it.

After Derick was done talking, Nora was just looking at him with disgust and didn’t even know what to do. I must devise a means to get myself out of here said Nora.

Derick was sensing that something was going through Nora’s mind and it could be she was planning another escape. Derick swore that he would do everything to ensure she doesn’t make a fool out of him again.

Derick then told her to accept the fact that she would be made his wife in no due time as their marriage would soon be approaching. He told Nora to get prepared for the wedding.

Nora had only two options it was either she gets married to him or she escapes from his house. Nora knew that escaping from his house would not be an easy one but nevertheless she was going to do it.

Nora racked her head all day thinking of possible escape plans and suddenly an idea came to her head. Nora was a little bit skeptical about her plans but she had no choice than to try.

She was going to use Mary, who is the maid of the house to get access to the particular officer who is in charge of the gate. She then called mary and explained to her how she wanted everything to go.

To Nora’s suprise, Mary accepted to help her with the plan no matter what it would cost. It was there mary confessed how much she loved Nora. Nora who wasn’t ready to get emotional just gave Mary a hug and told her thank you.

Mary finally found a way to convince the officer to have an affair with him, the officer was so gullible and he followed her into the room and they got undressed, Mary began to seduce him and suddenly the door opened.
