Disobedient Lovers

Calista comes home from school to the dorm room that she shared with her best friend, Annalise. When she walks in the bedroom, Anna quickly hangs up the phone but brushes it off as nothing. “Hey, how was school?” Anna asks as she quickly sits up from the spot she was laying in her bed to greet her best friend. “It was alright, the science teacher has loaded me down with homework for the third time this week” she looks to Annalise with help in her eyes. Science has never been her strong suit but Anna has always exceeded in it. Calista throws her books down on her bed and goes to get a shower. The dorm room wasn’t very big, with there only being enough space for a small sink and stove in the kitchen area and a pull out couch in front of the tv, and their beds in both of the car corners with a table in the middle. The bathroom wasn’t much bigger either. After her shower, she gets something small to eat from the kitchen and sits down at the table to start her homework. After about thirty minutes or so of Calista huffing and grunting because she can’t figure it out, Anna comes over to see if she can help. “Which topic is it?” She asks as she sits down next to her and looks over the papers. “It’s about the neutrons and electrons, Professor Harlem has been giving me homework all week to get my grade up and if I don’t, I’ll fail his class” Calista puts her head on the table and Anna tells her to get some sleep and she’ll get it finished. Calista lays in her bed and starts texting her boyfriend, Ellis. They’ve been together for three years and everyday her love for him grows stronger. -hey baby - hi my love - how was school today? -it was ok, my science teacher won’t get off my back about getting my grade up, he’s given me homework three times this week. It’s a good thing Anna is here to help me or I wouldn’t know what to do. -yeah, it’s a good thing you have a friend like her. After a couple more minutes of them texting back and forth, she tells him goodnight and goes to sleep.
