Disobedient Lovers

Chapter two

When Calista wakes up the next morning, she sees Anna fast asleep at the table drooling over her textbooks.

She gets out of bed and gets ready for school, as science being her first class of the day, she hurries to get her things and rush out the door before she’s late.

When she finally makes it to her science class, her teacher was sitting behind his desk taking roll, she hurriedly gets to her seat in the back of the class.

“Calista Smith” he looks up to her disapprovingly. “You’re late, stay after class” the sarcasm drawing from his voice as he looks back down at his papers.

Calista quickly gets her homework out from the night before and looks it over hoping that it’s right. When Professor Harlem gets done doing his lecture, the last thirty minutes of class was quiet.

When the bell rung, Calista stayed after class and showed her homework to the teacher.

He looks it over, a slight look of approval on his face. “Your homework looks good, I hope you didn’t get someone else to do it for you”. He looks up at you with a questioning look. You look at him for a second before saying no and he tells you that he will grade them later.

After getting through another long day of lectures and more homework and assignments, Calista is finally ready to go back to her dorm and go to bed. Luckily it’s the weekend, so she can sleep in and she gets to spend time with her boyfriend.

When she makes it to her dorm, she hears something, it’s soft and faint at first, but as she gets closer to her dorm room, it’s starts getting louder, she thought that Anna was just having some special company over, but then she hears a voice that sounds familiar.

“Oh yeah baby, right there” it’s her boyfriend. She opens the door and sees her best friend on top of her boyfriend.

How could he? They’ve been together for three years and she finds him with her best friend with their four year anniversary right around the corner.

“WHAT THE f**k!!” she yells as they both look at her shocked, Anna quickly gets up and throws a blanket around her and Ellis starts trying to get his clothes on.

“Cali, I-I’m sorry, I didn’t want you to find out like this” you feel the tears start to swell in the back of your throat as you look at the both of them in disbelief.

“Are you serious Ellis? With my best friend of all people? Our anniversary is right around the corner and you decide to ruin it by sleeping with my best friend” you can hardly control your anger as you start to walk out the room.

Ellis tries to follow you, but you tell him to back off and you run out of the building and down the street, you don’t know where your going, but anywhere is better than being there with them.
