Chapter Fourteen

Chapter 14 Sweats travelled down from their faces. They did not know if the people from the black team were just sleeping or were they now dying? They all looked like they were paralyzed. Daniel who was in front of the Black King did not flinch. So as Liam who was just a step backward from him. Instead of celebrating, the red team became anxious. That could possibly happen to them sooner or later. They did not know what did they get themselves into. “Do not worry, everyone,” a cold voice said. Everyone from the red team looked up. It was the leader up in the platform. “I had fun,” the leader chortle. He looked at Dontrell. “That was such a beautiful game. It was good to see an intense game between two kings who knows how to play. It has been so long. However, your members should have swung their weapons. That is way more fun.” Dontrell did not know what to react himself. He could not believe that they wanted them to hurt one another. Everyone from the team did not know what to do, too. They were already masked men carrying the members from the black team away from them. They did not know what would happen to them. All the man told them was to survive in exchange of money. They did not know the reason why they were the ones that they abducted. Not everyone in the group looked needy. There must had been another reason behind it but the thing that they were most worried about were their lives. Would they kill them? Or would they kill one another? Or would they kill themselves? Dontrell woke up from his deep thinking when one of the masked men who were carrying the bodies of the black team accidentally nudged him. When they could not see the black team members, anymore. They could feel that their ground shook again but this time, they were now being lifted up to go to another level of the floor. That was the floor they first stepped their feet. The metal bars that surrounded them opened and two of the masked men appeared. “Follow us,” one of the men said. They looked up but the leader was not there anymore. The two masked men opened two of the gates. It was enough for the sixteen of them to pass through. They could not see what was on the other end. It was black. “Where are you taking us?” One of the members in the team asked but the masked men did not answer. Everyone was gripping the weapons that they got earlier. They should not be complacent. They did not know why everything was happening. Aside from the privilege of being on the throne earlier, Madison and Dontrell had their own tangible weapons, daggers. They were not able to use it, earlier, since no one resorted to violence. The game that they had earlier was clean. There was no violence or cheating involved.
