The uninvited guest

Aditha had no choice, he wanted a place. For last two weeks he stayed at his friend’s place. He doesn’t want to stay there for a long time. He was looking for a flat in the city.

He had some money. Other than that he can’t spend much. He asked the broker that his friend suggested, “bruh!! Thats an amazing apartment. Seriously that flat is so good”

“Come on man!! I don’t have much of time. I saw the flat last week its good. You come with the advance, rent and other details”

The broker blantly said about all the details. And he mentioned about the details and everything. He listened to it and said “advance is too much man…”

“Bruhh!! Its the price look at other flats, they ask more”

“Reduce for two thousand, I am taking it”

He thought for a while and said “ok.. thats ok bruh, I will send you the details and also the Upi and everything, you can pay on that”

“Man send the details, let me check that and pay”

“Sure sure” he spoke in a very sweet tone.

Aditha was in a very need of a place to stay. His startup work started, his goal was to build a business on his own.

Days went by, he was waiting outside the apartment, speaking with his friend Rahul “hey I am just outside the flat. I haven’t even moved in” he was holding the phone leaning his head on the shoulder sandwiching the mobile.

He took the key to open it, but the knob twisted open. “Wait!!” He muttered.

On the other end, “what happened man?”

“wait I will call you after sometime” Aditha said and hung the call.

When he opened the door, the room was half set, in the living room, there were warm dim lights. He walked inside, the kitchen was messg with boxes and bags, he was hearing a noise of someone singing so badly.

He went in, saw a girl, wearing headphones, a loose fit T shirt and baggy pants that were faded, and holding a mop and singing as if imagining it as mic.

He was shocked to see someone inside the room be bought.

“What the f**k!!!!!” He said loudly.

Sensing the noise, she removed the headphones and saw a man standing outside. And she looked at him and she took the headphones off and screamed “who are you!!! Are you theif, an intruder”

“THIEF!!! INTRUDER AT MY FLAT!!! THEIF THEIF” she shouted.

He rolled his eyes and pointed his finger at her, “hey don’t shout”

She didn’t shut her mouth. She screamed still more. And took the mop high to hit him.

He dodged the attack “YOU i***t!!!!!” he said “shut your mouth” he said “this is my flat. You are the intruder”

She didn’t shut, she was ready to hit his head, he took the keys of room, and showed it infront of her eyes.

She paused and stared at the keys, “so you stole the keys too. Someone help meeee”

“s**t!!!! This is my flat. Get out now”

“No my flat!!” She took her phone and showed the payment done to the owner. He frowned and looked at it, the same number. He showed his payment.

The argument settled they both were walking frantically calling the owner, and him reaching the broker.

Both didn’t pick the call. She is getting so nervous. Her heart is beating so fast. What will she do. She thought.

She was feeling so nervous.

He muttered “f**k” under his breath.

She said “he is not picking up” biting her nails.

He thought and said “do you have a owner number?”

She nodded “yes!! And they put a call and put on speaker and the ring went”

The broker that their friends suggested was a fraud.

The owner picked up. And she spoke and told about everything. He understood that they got scammed. The owner said “ok you both paid, but you got scammed, but I can’t give my flat for free”

Aditha took the phone and said “look that guy has your flat keys.. seriously you say we got scammed”

“Listen young man. You can’t doubt me. Still you can stay there. I am in abroad. So you use the place. But I need the rent”

“Seriously!!! How I can pay that”

Yashoda frowned the mobile and said “sir, I’ve paid, how can I go. I am woman how can I find a place elsewhere”

He rolled at her, she is playing the victim card he thought.

After several negotiations, they got to know that they got scammed, now the owner came to a conclusion because there are mistake in his side too. Because the broker had every original copy. And it was because of the owner’s mistake, he came to a final conclusion that they can pay the rent at the end of the month. And he asked for the advance to be paid at the end of the month. Because that was the only negotiation left.

But this was better, in that mean time yashoda can get her salary and pay. But she was so angry on that broker, who cheated them.

Aditha was ready to break the broker head. Actually they had no option left. They chose this flat because it was cheap compared to several flats in the city. And for her this flat is much convenient. And for him too.

They didn’t want to lose it. She thought she will pay the advance and take it. And he thought the same.

Until then these two have to stay together
