Chapter 15

833 Words
Adrian POV "Why is she in heat? Didn't you two last night?" I asked my brother. He glared at me,  "Are you f***ing stupid! NO! And she is in heat because we haven't marked her!" She moaned out. She was wiggling in Ethan's arms, trying to get down. He rolled his eyes at me and took her inside the hotel room. I followed.  He put her on the bed and took her shoes and pants off. Before he could walk to the bathroom to start a cold bath, she pulled him to the bed. She rolled him over and straddled his lap.  "Kyra, I don't think you're ready for this. Just the other day you were expressing your profound hate for me." Ethan said in warning. I walked over to the bed and pulled Kyra off his lap. She started crying. "When I thought about having a mate, I always wanted it to be my best friend. I knew it wasn't him because he was older and would have known. But I still hoped. When my birthday came, I knew for sure, but when you killed him, a part of me died. I don't know what is wrong with me. I just-I can't-I want to go home." I had her in my arms, and she was distraught. I think that our betrayal hurts more than she lets on.  I took her to the bathroom and turned on the shower. I turned to leave so she could deal with her heat alone, when she grabbed my arm. "I get why you lied, you know. But it wouldn't have hurt as much if you had just told the truth." She let of of my arm and I left. I mind linked someone to bring my car around, that I was going home.  Kyra POV What the actual f**k is wrong with me? Why did I just do any of that? I just stepped out of my cold shower, to help with the effects of heat, and I was now berrating myself for the way I acted with Ethan and Adiran.  I put the shirt I was wearing earlier back on and my panties. I was still burning up, so I didn't bother with the pants. When I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Ethan laying on the bed, talking on his phone with someone. From what I heard, Aiden had checked out and left to go home. To his pack. He didn't even say goodbye. I don't know why, but a tear fell from my eye. I wiped it away and became angry. It was my new coping mechanism. I ignored Ethan laying on the bed, still discussing something, eyeing me and went to the mini fridge. It was fully stocked. I grabbed three mini bottles of taquiela, four mini bottles of vodka, and five mini bottles of fire ball. I used my shirt as a little knap sack and carried them all to the couch. I sprawled out and began the slow accent into my demise. I used to hate drinking at parties, but right now, this alcohol seemed like the only think to take me from reality.  I could still feel the heat making me want to go to Ethan, but the more I drank, the less of the effects I felt. When all those mini bottles were empty, I went back for more. By the time Ethan was done on the phone, I had emptied the fridge.  "Kyra, are you feeling okay?" He asked me. I was laying on my stomach on the couch and he was crouched down in front of my face.  Currently, no, I don't feel okay. At this very moment, I feel like simultaneously vomiting, crying, punching something, and f***ing his brains out.  "I'm fine. Great. Fantastic. Peachy, amazing, wonderful. Why do you ask?" He looked at me confused. My words were probably slurred beyond recognition.  He put his hand on my back, rubbing it up and down. "I know how much you hate me and how much you want to go home. I am so sorry for everything. I-I am going to make this easier for you. I Alpha Ethan Andreas Conri, reject you, Kyra Morgan Raven-" I slapped his face, hard, before he could finish. "Don't you dare! I already felt the pain of that once, and I will never, and I mean never go through it again." I was sobered quicker than you could say 'Frivolously fanciful Fannie fried fresh fish furiously' five times. He looked shocked.  "Is that the only reason that you don't want me to do that?" He asked "YES! NO! Maybe, I'm not sure." I answered.  He smirked. "You think I may stand a chance?"  "I honestly have no idea. But, point me to a witch. I need a potion to help break this curse."  "Why?" He looked utterly confused. "Because I am gonna summon the godess. And hopefully, she will tell me how to break this damn curse."
