Aiden POV
Ethan and Kyra got home not long ago and Ethan was carrying her to her room when I saw them.
He mind linked me:
Ethan - Meet me outside in a minute. I need to talk to you.
Aiden - Alright.
He kept walking to her room to lay her down and I went ahead and went outside. The air smelt different outside, so I decided to investigate. There aren't usually many rouges around, but the air was stiff with the smell of trash and wet dog. The biggest sign of rouges being in the area.
I mind linked my brother:
Aiden - Ethan, get your a*s out here, I smell rouges in the area.
Ethan - On my way.
He found me at the forest line.
"Update me." He said, waiting for my answer.
"They are all behind the boundary line, but they are getting closer. We should prepare the warriors."
He laughed, "My warriors are at Kyras' pack at the moment. We are on our own."
"Ethan! Why are they there when we need them all here?" I was getting annoyed with my brother.
"Because their alpha is here, so they need more protection in the event of an invasion of sorts. Obviously brother."
We made our way back towards the castle so we would be able to keep Kyra safe, and they chose that moment to attack. As the fight started, Kyra came outside. She took one look at the fight and made her way to the center of it all.
I shared a look with Ethan. What is our mate thinking?
Kyra POV
I had to protect them, it is what I do. Not only as an alpha, but it is also my job as their mate. I don't know why I was suddenly feeling this way towards them, but I was ready to defend them with everything I had.
I fought with my hands at first in my human form, but my wolf Koda was aching to be let out, so I shifted. Letting her take control. We were taking out rouges left and right. I couldn't see my mates, but I could feel that they were fine, just fighting like me.
Three of them came at me at once and I was too busy fighting them, that I didn't notice when an extremely large male wolf came up behind me. The two rouges that were still fighting me took off running and I felt a pressure on my back. Befoe I could get out of the way, the large beast had me crushed on the ground howling and whining. I tried growling and using my alpha ora, but the moster wasn't backing off. I saw my mates rushing towards me and felt the pressure dissipate as it was replaced with pain before I blacked out.
Ethan POV
Aiden and I were surrounded by ten different rouges, fighting them all fiercely when Kyra howled out. Aiden and I shared a look before we quickly took out the remaining four rogues and ran towards Kyra. A monserus amber colored rogue was trying to break her back. Her back legs hung out at odd angels showing that they were already broken. She was trying her best to scare him off with her ora, but the weaker she became, the weaker her ora came off as.
We ran to her, hoping we could get to her before he could manage to kill her. He must have sences us, because once he saw us coming he released her and took off into the woods.
Ethan: Aiden, follow him descretly while I get her help!
Aiden: I'm on it!
I shifted back into my human form and scooped Kyra into my arms. Her wolf couldn't hang on any longer because of the pain so in order to save them both, she made Kyra shift back into her human form. Her legs were broken and her entire back was purple. I could see two of her rips poking her skin, trying to break through. Her breaths came out in weezes.
"Kyra, love, hang on! Stay with me Kyra." I kept talking to her, trying to keep her conscious. I ran while trying not to jostle her too much. I needed to get her to our hospital as quickly as I could.
I ran through the hospital doors and was yelling out orders while three doctors rushed towards me with a gourney. I refused to leave her side, and as their alpha they had no choice but to let me into the operating room while they fixed my little mate.
Aiden POV
I followed the rogue through to our neighboring pack's borders. Right when he crossed into their land, a man came out and handed him a bag of clothes. He shifted and dressed while conversation with the man.
"Did you manage to disable the female alpha?" The man asked.
"Yes, master, but her mates were there and stopped me from completely taking her out. If I had a few more minutes, I could have managed to at least paralize her for a month before her wolf was able to heal her." The rouge answered.
"It will have to work. Now for phase two, I need you to create a large enough diversion for me and my men to slip in a take her. The alpha is loosing his patients. He wants her by next week." He said to the rouge before turning around, probably to leave.
"What's he want with her anyways?" the rouge asked the man.
"To make her his bride. And he is not a patient nor a forgiving man." He said before turning and getting into a car and driving off.
I took off in the direction that I came to tell Ethan what I had learned when I was surrounded.
"Well, well, lookie what we have here boys. The little alphas' alpha mate. Well, one of them anyways. What do you say we use him in our diverson. There is no way that the infamous Alpha Ethan will beable to resist saving his twin brother."
A net was dropped onto me and twenty men shot at me with tranquilizers filled with wolfsbane taking me out instantly.
