Chapter 8: Surprise Visit

"Things that will make us happy are a surprise visit from the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time."

-SAVANNAH ZEN POV-

Luke left right after we finished eating because he had a transaction the next day. Then, I looked at Rose's i********: post first because I wasn't sleepy yet.

She shared a photo of herself eating at "J and B Restaurant," where Luke and I were. With a caption:

 "Dinner Date with my Special Someone."

So I commented because it was the first time I found out that she had a boyfriend.

"Amazing, Best! Congrats! It would be best if you introduced him to me. I'm so excited. To finally meet him in person." I commented.

"When the right time comes, it's best to do it soon." She replied.

So I wondered, why does Rose have to keep her boyfriend hidden from me? Is she shy, or does her boyfriend already have a wife? I am confused.

I watched Kdrama before going to bed because tomorrow is my day off, and I can wake up whenever I want.

Eventually, I was awake by a loud knock on my door. When I opened my eyes, I looked at the clock on my side table and saw. It was 5 p.m. It was 6 in the morning when I fell asleep earlier. So I hurriedly got up in case my order arrived. My old laptop had broken, so I ordered a new one.

When I opened the door, however, I noticed Luke carrying a bouquet. I'm not sure what to think right now; I'm glad he gave me a flower, but I'm afraid his girlfriend will find out. I was worried about what might happen, but it wasn't my fault. So I simply allowed my heart to rejoice for a brief moment.

"Hey, Sav! What happened to your face? You've only just awoken?" Luke asked me and laughed.

When I realized I wasn't wearing a bra while sleeping, it was too late. As a result, I covered my chest while staring at Luke. I'm too embarrassed to say anything.

"You still have an eye booger, Sav," Luke said while laughing. So, I ran to my room, leaving Luke at the door because I was embarrassed.

"Hey! Sav! I'm just kidding." He shouted but, I ignored him.

A few moments later. I decided to take a bath because I was already stinking. It's so humiliating. When I opened the Comfort Room, I saw Luke urinating. So I screamed.

"Hey, Luke! How come you did not lock the door?" I angrily asked him as I closed my eyes.

"Sorry, Mine!" then he winked at me.

"Shut up! You are now free to leave!" I said and glared at him.

"I'm not yet done, my dear! Do you want to keep an eye on me?" Then he laughed.

"I hate you! You always annoy me." I responded. I was about to go out, but I suddenly slipped. Fortunately, Luke caught me, but my towel fell off. Luke caught another glimpse of my lovely body again.

I have no idea why this is happening to us. But there is one thing I can think of: everything has a reason. And I have to accept it because it's already happened.

We were both stunned and couldn't move. Luke is still holding me. It's a good thing Luke's cellphone rang.

"Thank you!" I said shyly; as I picked up the towel that was falling off.

Luke came out and answered the call, but I sat in the bowl stunned. I'm puzzled because I am slowly falling in love with Luke.

After taking a shower and getting dressed, I went out to see Luke in the kitchen. I was astounded by the quantity of food on the table. There is no reason for us to celebrate.

"Luke, What is the occasion?" I asked him as I took a seat.

"Happy Anniversary, Mine!" He seriously said while staring at me. Anniversary? We don't even have a label.

"I'm not in the mood to make fun of you, Luke." then I glared at him.

"Okay! Let's eat because I know you haven't had breakfast or lunch yet." Luke said in a concerned way.

"Thanks for the concern!" then I smiled at him.

"You are always welcome, my dear." He replied.

We’re seriously eating, maybe because we’re both hungry. After we ate, my stomach suddenly hurt. So I hurried straight to the restroom.

"Sav, are you okay?" Luke asked me worriedly while he was outside.

"I'm okay, don't worry," I replied. Then I was about to flush when the toilet became clogged.

My sweat is dripping down my brow. Luke was already concerned about me after I had been in the Rest Room for half an hour.

"What happened to you, Sav? What took you so long to get out there?" Luke asked me.

"You are free to walk away; I am fine here." I pushed him away because I was so embarrassed today.

"No! I won't! If you still don't want to go out, I'll break down the door to your restroom. I'm not kidding, Sav!" Luke's strict reprimand to me.

Because I'm afraid of what Luke is capable of. Despite the embarrassment, I told him the truth.

" Okay! The toilet was clogged. Are you happy?" I told him sarcastically.

"What? Maybe that's too big, so the toilet is clogged, hahaha!" Luke teased me. 

" I hate you! Get the hell out!" I shouted at him fiercely.

"Okay! I am so sorry. I was just kidding you. Get out, I'll take care of that." Luke assured me.

But, despite how embarrassing it was, I just let him help me because I knew Luke would insist.

When I opened the door, Luke just stared at me and then hugged me. Maybe he felt sorry for me because I was dripping with sweat.

"Just take a rest. I know you're exhausted." Then, Luke kissed my forehead. And he went into the restroom while wearing a mask.

How could I forget about Luke when I was with him almost every day? And he's always concerned about me?

I'm afraid that one day I'll just cry because Luke left me, as I left him before.

"Please, Lord, assist me. Only you are aware of everything. So I'm hoping you won't let me down when it comes to how far my feelings for Luke will go." And, all of a sudden, tears welled up in my eyes.
