Chapter 5: My Best friend

"Best Friends make the GOOD times BETTER and the HARD times EASIER."

-SAVANNAH ZEN POV-

While I was lying in my bed, I was restless. I remembered the conversation of Luke and I had earlier.

-FLASHBACK-

"Do you still love me, Sav?" Luke seriously asked me. He looked at me as if he meant something.

"Luke, Can we forget our past first? I just want to get back at you so you can forgive me." I answered him without looking at his eyes. But the truth is when we broke up. He was the only one I loved even though many men courted with me.

"Sav, Just answer me with Yes or no!" then he rolled his eyes.

"Okay! My answer is -OR-" then I laughed.

"I am serious, Savannah!" Then he stared at me, so I was very nervous. His stares brought goosebumps to my arms.

"If my answer is Yes, what will you do?" I asked him with wide eyes.

He no longer answered me. Instead, he kissed me on the lips for 5 seconds. I could not move. My heartbeat was so fast, my face suddenly became red, and my eyes widened in shock.

"Let's go, Mine!" He said after he kissed me, and then he winked at me. I was speechless, and I was stunned as I looked outside. I did not expect Luke to kiss me.

Since I could not sleep, I called Rosabella, my wealthy best friend.

"Hi, best! Where are you now?" I asked her. But why so noisy in her place?

"I am here at the Bar. Do you want to go here?" She replied, but I could not hear Rose very much because there was so much noise around her.

"What? Are you at the Bar?" I asked her again.

" Yes! Do you want to go here?" She asked me with a sweet voice. Because I wanted to forget what had happened earlier, I agreed.

"Yes! Can your driver pick me up?" I asked her and laughed.

"Sure, Bestie! Whatever you want, I will do. That's how I love you, best." She replied with a charming voice.

"Wow! Thank you, best! I love you, too." then I ended the call.

Rosabella Cameron is my only best friend. Even though she was rich, she was very kind to me, and she respected my decision.

 We haven’t fought since we became friends because we care about each other. So I can say Rose is the perfect friend for me. Rose is beautiful, kind, sexy, and she has almost everything. But I wonder because Rose don't have a boyfriend until now. She doesn't answer all her suitors. She told me that she did not like men because they were cheaters like his Dad.

Her Dad left her Mom after their Arrange Marriage because her Dad did not love her Mom. Rose's Dad only married her Mom because of the wishes of her grandparents. Her Mom's parents' company was bankrupt, so her Dad saved her Mom's company. Rose's Mom loved her Dad so much. And, it was okay for her to be hurt as long as her Dad was happy.

So I feel sorry for Rose. I want her to be happy too and not be like her Mom. And, I love Rose so much.

Rose driver picked me up, and we went straight to the expensive RestoBar. Usually, only rich people were here. Since it was my first time entering the Bar, I couldn’t be comfortable with what I was wearing. I only wore tattered denim shorts and a sleeveless blouse, but I wore a blazer to cover my skin. Because of my fair complexion, many men looked at my long legs as I entered.

"Oh! My God! Hi, best! You are so beautiful!" Rose greeted me then hugged me.

"Thank you, best! Sorry, I don't know what to wear. It is my first time, you know?" then I rolled my eyes.

"It's okay! There is no dress code here, So let's go! Let’s celebrate because you already have a job." Rose shouted as if she was happy for me.

It is my first time drinking wine and dancing on the Dance Floor. It is fun here, and suddenly my problem disappears.

A few hours later, I was so dizzy, So I sat at our table while Rose was still dancing with the men she knew. As I sat down, a man stood beside me and talked to me.

"Hi, Miss Beautiful!" then he smirked at me.

"Hello!" I answered and shook my head.

"Are you okay? By the way, I am Kurt Whisley, and you?" The handsome stranger asked me.

" Just call me, Sav short for Savannah Zen Miller!" then I smiled at him.

"Okay! Sav, nice to meet you!" then Kurt held my hands for a shaking hand. But someone pulled me out.

"Hey! Let me go! Who are you to drag me?" I shouted at him. But when I looked at him. I saw the angry Luke.

"Why is he here?" I asked myself.

"Hey! Bro, Let her go!" Kurt told him.

"And who are you?" Luke asked him with a fierce look.

"Her friend!" Kurt replied briefly.

"Okay! Nice to meet you, but I am her husband!" Luke replied, which made us shocked.

Luke dragged me out of the Bar, and he pushed me to his car.

"Luke! Wait, I am with Rose! I don't want to leave her." I begged him because he was so angry this time.

"If you don't want to leave her without informing her, then text her!" Luke suggested since I don't want Luke to get mad at me. I texted Rose.

"Rose, I am sorry. I already left because I still have work tomorrow." I sent to her and sighed.

"Done texting, Boss!" I told him and rolled my eyes.

"Good!" He replied coldly. But his cellphone rang with the contact name Girlfriend. I don't know how to react. Yes! I admit I was jealous, but I was not in a position to feel this way. So, I was distracted.

"Are you jealous?" Luke asked me and laughed.

"Nope! Why should I be jealous? We don't have a label, do we?" I replied with a frown.

"Really? Okay! I will answer the call." Luke answered and laughed bitterly. So, I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"You see? You are jealous! Hahaha! Don't worry, I won't answer her, Mine!" He said, and he slowly kissed my lips for about 10 seconds. I am shocked. He kissed me twice today. My heart seemed to explode.

"Why, won't you respond? I am not a good kisser like your Rich Ex-boyfriend?" Luke told me and laughed bitterly, but I slapped him.

"You're rude! You kissed me without my permission, but you have the gut to complain that I did not respond to your kiss? It is not my fault if I don't know how to kiss!" then my tears flowed.

"I'm sorry, Sav! I thought you were an expert." then he smiled at me and kissed my forehead. Then, he wiped away my tears.

"Psssshhh .. Don't cry!" He said and placed his finger on my lips, and then he kissed my lips with a loud sound.

"Hey! Are you drunk?" I asked him with an angry voice.

"Nope! I am addicted to your lips! I don't want anyone to kiss you! Okay? “ Luke commanded me while looking, seriously into my eyes.

"Alright!" I answered briefly. I don’t know why I consented to him. It is my heart's fault. I felt an inexplicable feeling. My heart was overjoyed, but my mind kept reminding my heart that Luke had a girlfriend.

"Thanks, Mine! Let's go." He said, and he drove me to my apartment.

As we travel, I close my eyes. I fell asleep and when I woke up. I was lying on my bed with new clothes on, and I saw Luke sleeping in my computer chair.

"Oh! My God! Luke dressed me up? It's so embarrassing!" I whispered and touched my chest.

"Are you awake?" Luke asked me, and I covered my face with a blanket.

"Yes, can you go home, now!" I told him because I was embarrassed.

"Are you okay? It's 2 in the morning! It's dangerous outside." Luke frowned.

"Okay, sorry! Why did you change my clothes?" I asked him.

"I won't answer you if you still cover your face!" He answered coldly.

"I'm embarrassed!" I replied.

"Ashamed for what?" He answered and laughed.

"I am embarrassed because you changed my clothes!" I told him in an angry voice.

"Don't worry! I didn't change your undies! Hahaha! Look at that, it's still pink! Hahaha," he replied and laughed.

"I hate you!" And I threw him with my pillow.

"Haha! You're blushing, Mine!" He said, and he approached me.

"Luke, please! Don't come closer to me!" I shouted at him.

"Why?" He asked with a confused look.

"Because I have a contagious disease!" I replied.

"It's okay!" He said and, sleep beside me.

"Hey! You can't sleep here!" I told him with an angry look.

"Please, Sav! I can't sleep in the chair. Promise, I will behave." He said with a cross sign.

"Okay! But don't remove the pillow in the middle!" I reminded him.

"Yes, mine!" He replied and closed his eyes. It was so good to hear that he was still calling me to our endearment.

As he slept, I stared at his innocent face. I don’t know why I still love him. He already had a girlfriend, but why on earth. He is still the one I love and the one I hope to be with someday. And suddenly I fell asleep.

And I heard Luke speak and touched my face and then kissed my forehead. I would have opened my eyes, but I just let Luke do what he wanted.

"I am sorry, Sav! Yes, I still love you, but I don't trust you anymore. I want to forget the pain you planted in my heart before, but I can't help it. What should I do?" then he kissed my lips. And I heard his footsteps towards the door. Then he slowly opened the door and closed it.

Then, I opened my eyes with tears. And I look at the clock it is already 5 in the morning. Because I am tired, I sleep again and then, ON my alarm clock to 7 in the morning.

"Is it true that he still loves me?" I whispered.

My alarm started ringing, and I woke up. I want to cook my breakfast first before I take a bath. As I was about to sit down at the table, I saw a note.

-Good morning, mine! Don't skip your breakfast! I cooked your favorite meal.- Luke

I was fascinated by what I read. Why is Luke suddenly so kind to me now? And he’s sweet too.

I hope Luke stays like this always. I hope so.
