The car, which she did not know the name of, made its merry way along roads of concrete and gravel, through trees and built-up areas. Having joined their parade were two other cars of similar sorts, attempting to be discreet in dark shades but failing by extravagance. One positioned itself in front and the other behind but Attarah failed to understand why all the security and guards were needed. Were they in danger?
Finally, they turned sharply right down a harsh track before soft sand began to be seen through the trees, parking in a position where the car wouldn't sink, they all exited. Attarah glanced around and took in their party, in their car had been Felix and a guard she now knew as Leo. In one other car was Alec, Demetri and two other guards that she didn't know. Within the final car was Miranda (odd considering she was human and said she was not coming), her human Chef Amelia, Chelsea and a ginger-haired lady named Vanessa. They made up a large party of twelve and she was shocked by them all.
Taking her bags, Lea led the way through the trees and after a while, before her very eyes; a large mansion was seen suspended on stilts of sorts above them with a long curved pathway of wooden steps leading to their position on the ground. She beamed and Caius smiled happily at her reaction.
Taking the case off of Leo, Caius guided her along the trail though others shot out in front to test the coast so it could be deemed clear. Entering the beautiful mansion, Attarahs lips split into a Cheshire grin at the equally amazing interior.
"It's beautiful" she spoke to her mate. The guards had already departed to various positions and Miranda and Amelia were heading off also to unknown places.
"Come" the king smiled and took her hand, he welcomed the cool on her heated skin, she was remarkably overdressed for the climate and having just stepped out of an air-conditioned car, she felt the effects of the weather even further.
After reaching the top floor, Attarah found that there was only one door. Caius opened it to reveal a giant penthouse apartment. The bed was in the centre and before it was a large curved widow of glass stretching across the entire room, the beach below could be seen in perfect clarity. The window could also be fully opened to give in air.
"It's beautiful"
"This is our room Attarah, he smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind from where she was standing by the windows. She smiled and tucked her body into his cool muscles. He kissed the back of her head and rested his chin atop her tumbling hair.
"I love it. Thank you so so much" she beamed in pure and utter happiness, turning swiftly in his arms to peck his chin. She pushed her body upwards onto her toes and sealed her lips over his own. Tying her hand through his hair, he pulled herself closer and he chuckled into her mouth, picking her up effortlessly by the waist and placing her on the windowsill so she needn't reach so far. Wrapping her arms and legs around him tightly like vines, their mouths continued a perfectly synchronised dance.
Caius' hands grabbed her knees, trailing up her thighs and passed the hem of her skirt, hoisting it up as she gasped, his hands didn't, however, stop as they grabbed her ass in a heated frenzy, his mouth never leaving hers as he pulled her closer.
Attarah was the first to pull away with the need to breathe and Caius rested his forehead against hers as he allowed her to do so.
"This is going to be an interesting trip" he winked and she blushed.
---
Attarah wondered over to her suitcase and other bags that had been left by the door. She had quite a few bags and it confused her. Was she staying longer? That was all she could presume considering she had brought her human helpers with her. Before unpacking, he decided to question her mate.
Walking along the corridors, she finally located where she presumed him to be and found Leo and one of the other guards she now knew to be Richard, a vampire with great self-control. Leo remained stony-faced like a guard who protected the queen whereas Richard relaxed his facial muscles when he saw her.
"Have you seen Caius?" she questioned and Leo was the one to answer her. He was polite by command but he was still stern.
"Master Caius along with the other guards are currently in a meeting. He shall be done soon" Leo sent her a tight-lipped smile as he readjusted his radio wire.
"Okay" she replied timidly, walking off in a shy manner and making her way to the kitchens. She found her fellow humans. Amelia bowed at her mistress whilst Miranda remained upright, smiling to her friend.
"What can we do for you?"
"I'm just waiting for Caius to be finished. Do you know how long we will be staying here?" she queried in worry and the pair smiled at her.
"We will be staying for the foreseeable future miss," Amelia informed her and she was shocked.
"Why?"
"We are not sure Tara, we're just following orders. we have not been told much." Miranda spoke and Attarah nodded as she made her way out of the room after thanking them for the information. She headed upstairs yo her bedroom.
Taking her suitcases, she headed toward the walk-in wardrobe. Opening the first chest, Attarah was met with an abundance of clothes for all weather. She put the dresses and tops on hangers and put them on the silver rail before moving to put her bikinis, trousers and underwear into the chest of drawers. In the next case, she found shoes which she hung on the shoe rack. Hats were layer placed on shelves, she wasn't sure how long they'd been staying but it seemed like a while. Everything else was next packed away and she put all the cases at the back of the wardrobe.
"Mistress Attarah?" she turned around to find Vanessa smiling at her. "Master Caius requests your company for your dinner" she informed and when Attarah nods, the guard vanishes leaving the pretty brunette to find her own way to the dining room. Luckily she knew where that was.
Entering the dining room, she found Caius sat at the head of the table reading from a thick book. He looked up when she entered and a beam took over his features.
"Hello Gorgeous" he smirked and she giggled as she took the seat beside him. She leant her head on his shoulder for a moment and he pushed away his book.
"How long are we staying?" she questioned, hoping he'd have more information than the humans did. Which he likely did.
"My brothers and I have decided to take some time away for Christmas. They shall be joining us here soon after our private holiday has finished. It was our decision to make your first Christmas with us memorable" he answered after pondering for a long time.
"We're here for Christmas? What about the castle?"
"Do not worry darling, everything is sorted out,." he replied with a smile as Amelia entered to give her her food.
Caius wished to tell her the truth but she was not allowed to know that they planned to murder her previous family. However, they had broken one of the most important rules. They were staying there to keep her safe from the fight, the castle every one was preparing. The highest guards and Caius himself were to join the others the day before the fight but Attarah would remain in Brazil, oblivious to the fight with the lower guards.
He hoped the plan would work and Attarah would remain unharmed.
---
Attarah walked up the stairs with a heavy head, fatigue running in her veins as she forced her body all the way up to the penthouse apartment room. It had been a very very long day for a human. It had been her most unusual day thus far but she somewhat loved it no matter what. Entering the bedroom, she found the large bed beautifully made, before it had been decorated with millions of cushions and layers but it had been stripped down to a comfortable level and was now ready to be slept in.
Also found on the bed, laid out beautifully was a set of pyjamas which consisted of cotton shorts and a long-sleeved white t-shirt. She assumed it was the doing of Miranda until she heard the sound of run high water. Heading toward the adjacent bathroom, she came eye to eye with a beautiful Caius Volturi in all his glory.
"...hi" she squeaked, his shirt was open and her body became alight with new sensations as she swallowed, eyes widening considerably. Caius chuckles as a Cheshire grin split across his lips.
He sauntered forwards and Attarah stumbled back until she flopped onto the bed. He smoothly slid on top of her, catching his own weight as he looked down at her.
"Hey" he chuckled in return and pressed his lips to hers, he quickly deepened the kiss, eagerly. He was the first to pull back. "I made you a bath" he whispered against her lips and she frowned as he stood and grabbed her hand, effortlessly bringing her to stand.
Caius guided his future queen through into the marble bathroom where a beautiful square bathtub was located, luscious scents and foaming bubbles appeared and Attarah watch brilliant rose petals flutter in the clear water.
"I'll be waiting for you outside" he informed, giving her privacy as he pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder then her neck and finally her cheek. Taking her chin in his hand, he turned her pressed his lips onto hers. Smiling, he wandered away and left her in a daze.
Floundering like a newborn, Attarah eventually got her bearings together and began to undress, the door safely closed. Wondering to the side, she found her washbag (carefully packed by Miranda). After sifting through items, she located her razor, carefully packaged for her safety and shaving foam. With a smile, she headed to bathe.
Placing one leg into the bath hesitantly, she smiled as warmth spread throughout her. It was the perfect temperature and she quickly slid in, the water sloshing as it settled around her, the satin-smooth consistency sliding against her body and she melted into the warmth.
After showering all the essential body parts and shaving those required. She leant her head back, rose petals floating around to cover her nudity as her eyes drooped to a close. With eyes closed, she relaxed.
__
As the water finally began to turn cold, Attarah sighed and stood, water dripping as she shivered slightly despite the hot climate. Safely on the bathmat, she wrapped her body in a thick grey towel provided and searched for clothes which she presumed Caius provided.
Eventually, her eyes spotted the clothing on the side and her eyes widened considerably. Before her was a silky robe, it was thin and extravagant yet nearly entirely sheer with only patches of lace to cover her.
Hopelessly glancing around, Attarah found that the sheer robe was her only option unless she wanted to redress in sweaty clothing or saunter around in a towel.
The robe was long-sleeved and fell to the floor, it would be almost modest had it not been for the material. Exhausting all other options, Attarah slid her arms into the robe and fastened it tightly with the ribbon.
Opening the door, he peeked out to see Caius sat on the bed wearing what she'd left him in, she childishly wished he has gone. She was out of her element in that situation yet it felt so right in her mind. Whatever it was that was about to happen...it was supposed to happen now, with him. She wanted it.
With a final breath, Attarah stepped out from behind the door...
---
Caius took a moment to stare at the beauty of his mate. She was utterly gorgeous though his eyes travelled to her face and his lips tightened, his eyebrows quivered and he knew that she was uncomfortable.
Standing with a blanket over his arm he made his way to her, his eyes staring into hers. She relaxed when she saw him and he wrapped the blanket around her shoulders, pulling the corners so she was closer to him and her lips pressed to his. When they moved apart she was smiling and he bent down, sweeping her off her feet and carrying her to the bed.
Sitting silently, Caius tucked her head beneath his chin as he cuddled her warm body to his cold chest. He knew from the look she'd given him that she was not ready yet the inspiration and determination which swam with the fear in her eyes confused him relentlessly.
"you do not want this" he whispered and she instantly pulled away, staring up at him with wide eyes. In truth, Attarah did not know what she wanted at all. She felt prepared though somewhere deep within her knew that she was doing it only for the man she loved. She did not feel ready, mentally.
"I am" she attempted, having seen the initial desire within his ruby-red orbs when she'd first stepped through the door. In that second, Caius recognised her intention and along with feeling angered at himself, he felt devastated. He had never meant for her to feel pressured. That was not the way he'd wanted it to be.. To happen.
"you're lying to me "he whispered, voice not raising. He did not want to frighten her. He did not want her to think that he was angry at her for not wanting that with him yet. He knew he'd wait a thousand lifetimes and more until she was ready, he wouldn't even mind never having it. It was something he could live without, as long as he had her. She was his universe. Everything revolved around the brunette beauty.
"No, I'm not Caius. I want this... With you, I can't imagine myself having it to any other, not Aro. Not Marcus. You." she insisted. Caius was more than shocked by the revelation, he had believed her to have an identical set of feelings towards each of them yet that appeared to no longer be the case by her words. He knew she loved them evenly but possibly the love was different.
"But not now " he finished for her before smiling gently as her eyes softened to agree with what it was that he said. He knew he had been right since the moment she stepped through the door and he saw her eyes.
Attach closed her eyes, she knew that he had uncovered her motive and it upset her to know that he now felt bad of himself. "It was not your fault, I really thought that I was ready for th,s." she whispered.
Caius' heart panged as she spoke her words of love to him, the way she called him baby melted all that was inside him. He never thought that it was possible for him to feel so human yet it was happening.
"I love you."
"I love you more" she whispered as the tears began to fall, he was all she wanted in that moment. With his words and eyes, he nearly closed the hole left in her heart made by the absence of the other two. Bonds developed at different rates and it just so happened that her love for Caius within that moment was intense. She'd never felt anything of the sort.
"That is impossible my love. I shall love you until the end of time and beyond. You're my universe and I could ask for nothing more than you're love. You complete me. Make me happier than anything I've ever felt before. You make me feel vulnerable...human, nobody has been able to make me feel so pure before. Just a glance in tour eyes turns back time, warms my heart. I never knew love felt like this. " he whispered and then he was met by the sweet taste of cherry lips as they pressed against his own.
" thank you for being mine"
"I should be the one thanking you gorgeous. " he whispered and helped her beneath the embroidered sheets of the bed.
" stay with me?"
"always baby. "
---
The morning had broken and Attarah woke up into a warmth around her, smiling she opened her eyes to sunlight and as she glanced through the great windows of glass, she witnessed sunshine dancing above the trees. Stretching like a feline, the female twisted her body to sit as a yawn graced her plump lips. Eyes squinting through the light she headed toward the ensuite bathroom where she took care of many hinges before dressing as casually as she could, with the stifling heat.
The first time she found any form of species was when she came to the end of her corridor, where two guards hovered. It confused Attarah as there had not been such strong security during her past holidays. Finding herself within the kitchen, she's welcomed by a smiling Caius dressed casually yet still looking godlike. His hair in a 'man-bun' which Attarah couldn't help but find adorable. She felt even more attracted to him than before if that was at all possible.
"Good morning my sunshine" he beamed as he motioned with his pale hand for her to take the seat beside him, thankfully her breakfast was light and cold, yoghurt and fruit. As if recognising her distress from the heat, Caius places his palm against her forehead and she felt an instant cool rush through her, a great relief. The man chuckles.
"Today we shall be going out, on a boat." he beamed and she giggled at the thought, thankful that she wore a pretty bikini beneath her thin dress.
"you know how to drive a boat?" she questioned somewhat idiotically, before noticing that the man was old enough to know how to do everything. Age brings wisdom.
"of course" he smiles at her noticing her confusion and embarrassment. He could feel her skin heat even more beneath the hand that still rested upon her forehead.
"Why does that not surprise me?" she mumbles to herself and it is met with a chuckle.
"once you have finished, collect what you need and meet me by the entrance" he winks.
Attarah and Caius walk hand in hand through some tall trees, sand flowing into sandals for many long minutes before they finally found a break in the vegetation, beyond was a modestly sized beach with white sands and blue water, a great grey-washed cliff face looking over them and a scatter of boulders. Thrusting from the natural area was a man, a dock of light and dark greys with robes and at the very end, a large yacht that was evidently beautiful and expensive yet Attarah knew nothing about them.
"that's it?" she whispered in awe and he chuckled.
"you'll have to get used to being rich gorgeous"
"I don't think I ever could." she giggled at him and turned, jumping up so that her legs tied around him and arms snaked around his warm neck, a monkey hold that made him chuckle and snuggle into her, inhaling her intoxicating scent.
"let's go princess" he chuckled and carried her along the dock in his arms, he glittered in the sunlight but only Attarah was there to take in and experience the beauty of it as they entered the plush boat with a perfectly timed hop from the king.
"here you go my gorgeous one" he placed her down on a seat and she snuggled into the cool of the leather ad he chuckled and began to sort things out upon the boat, he was with numerous other vampires but one said a word and when the boat was set up, they vanished momentarily as Caius began to sail.
"This is so exciting, I have only ever been on a boat when I went finishing with my dad but the water was murky and the boat small. This is so gorgeous and the water is amazingly clear, I can see everything.
"perks of being rich" Caius winks. "this is your life now baby."
---
Seaspray splashed her face and her eyes fluttered to a close without a single care in the world, her lips parted as she breathed in the fresh air and reminisced in the cool air of the sea and the salty water. Her hair fluttered in a cloud all around her and her hands rested on the railing of the ship in front of him. Caius found himself to be the luckiest man in the world, what had he done to deserve something... Someone so magical.
The love they had was forever, he could say that with certainty as he trusted her with every part of his being. Never before has he entrusted all he had upon one single person, a human at that. His brothers too found utter love and admiration, trust within the female yet her heart was big enough for all three. Her beauty was radiant and he wished to grant her the world. If only he was not a king, not a vampire. If only he was a man, a human that could give her all she needed.
Nodding to the man beside him, Caius walked away, leaving a trusted guard to steer the ship as he silently made his way to his love. As he reached her, one hand placed beside her on the rail and the other rested around her slim waist. Humming softly in appreciation, Attarah leant back into the gentle arms of her mate. Her eyes did not open as her head rested against his chest.
"You are gorgeous, my love" he whispered into her ear, sending chills throughout her body. A sigh released from her at the sound of his voice and she gently turned to face him, one hand making it's way to cup his smooth cheek, the other capturing his neck as she pulled him closer, her lips pressing against him in a perfect dance. All guards except the driver vanished into the cabin and Caius beamed into her lips as he snaked her waist, boosting her up into his arms. As her legs left the floor she giggled but felt as safe as if she were on the floor.
Caius sat her on the metal railing and beamed at her, one arm holding her steady whilst the other stroked her face, his eyes staring intently into her own, happiness radiated between them. "let's go for a swim" he smiled as the boat had been anchored for the moment.
"Here?"
"Afraid of some water darling?" he teased and she giggled as she hopped back onto the deck, Caius swiftly removed his top and boat shoes before running swiftly and hopping over the rail into the depths below. Attarah let out a bubbly laugh as she jogged to the edge of the rail, staring down at her mate who beamed cheekily at her. "come in down gorgeous, I'll catch you." he promised with utter seriousness.
Stepping out of his sight, she removed her clothing, leaving her in a bikini. Caius swam around in the water, with little effort. Swimming was second nature to him. The next time he looked up he saw the face of an angel. She looked nervous and he smiled to soothe her, she sat on the railing shakingly with her legs facing him. She was amazingly stunning and he smirked as he held his arms up to catch her.
Pushing away from the railing, Attarah felt herself fall and she held in a scream but it ended as soon as it started and she was in cool arms. Opening her tightly closed eyelids, she met the gorgeous face of her mate and he smiled softly as he released her slightly, taking her waist between his hand.
"welcome" he teased with a wink and she giggled before splashing him in the face with water, he stunned shocked and she laughed loudly before swimming away as fast as she could, the king followed but humoured her from a few short moments before appearing in front of her and sending a splash of water in her face.
"you are amazing" he laughed as he took her in his arms again, squatting gently so she could sit facing him on his bent legs, legs around his waist.
"I love you" she whispered and he beamed.
"I love you more baby."

December 24th
Caius smiled, he was sat on the boat with his mate, the pair was cuddled up on the deck upon a picnic blanket under the stars. A picnic was beside them, newly exhausted and Attarah was sleeping against him. He was perfectly shaped for her, they were perfectly content. She wore the coat that he had brought for her knowing the weather would get cold. Finally, the guards had brought the boat back to the dock and Caius stood, picking up the brunette beauty. His brothers were arriving that night.
Hopping off the boat he zoomed to the house, taking her into her bedroom and lying upon the sheets with her on his chest. "I shall give you the world my queen for you deserve even more," he whispers, aware that she can't hear him but not minding too greatly. It was an honour to him to hold her and whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
===========
Attarah woke up to see a beaming face directly beside her, her eyes widened as she screamed and the blonde beside giggled like a hyena, disappearing off the bed. "Jane! when did you get here?"
"Last night" Jane beamed happily with a giant smirk. "I wasn't the only one" she winked and Attarah widened her eyes in shock.
"you mean?" she asked in excitement as she bounced to her feet like a clumsy duck, running to the door just to be could by small hands.
"you can't go anywhere looking like that, let's get you changed first" Jane smiled and Attarah rolled her eyes but followed the blonde to the wardrobe.
Shortly after Attarah was dressed in a white top and a ruffled skirt.
Dashing barefoot from the room, her skirt flaring behind her, she ran downstairs following the string in her heart. Glancing over the railing of the balcony she found waiting at the foot of the stairs was her mates. With a giant grin she ran to them down the stairs, throwing herself at Aro who was the first she found, he cuddled her to him with a smile before passing her on to hug an anticipating Marcus.
"Hello gorgeous" they smirked at her and she giggled as she found her feet once more and wrapped her arms around Caius' waist, his arms draping over her shoulder.
The trio spent many hours together and they flew by quickly as they sat and talked and Attarah ate and cuddled them. "we must apologise, my love but we have some business to attend to" Aro broke the tranquillity.
"business?" she queried in sadness "Are you sure I cannot steal your attention for any longer? I feel as though you only just arrived" she pled but Aro smiled sadly as the three stood, each pecking her cheek as they moved to leave. "please"
"We apologise Attarah, but soon when we return, our attention shall be yours alone"
"And what shall I do in the meantime?" she questioned and they stared at her.
"read?"
__________
Attarah quickly became bored with reading, she had been given a book about being a proper Volturi and the rules included, she had not known such a book was in existence. She did not know if she could be what they wished for her to be, she would be coronated after she became a vampire and the plan was for her to have two weddings, one as a human, a more intimate ceremony and one after which would be grand and extravagant. Once she was queen, she would act like one, no more would she be pointless in the castle but she didn't know whether she wanted the responsibility of helping run a species.
So she decided to go for a walk to clear her mind, she soon found herself walking up the stairs and she kept going, finding more stairs than she believed possible, soon she reached what she believed to be the top-level and discovered boxes cluttered around that were seemingly new, opening one she found Christmas decorations and a note from Felix tucked inside. "Let's have a Christmas" it stated and she widened her eyes. How did he know she wanted to celebrate Christmas?
"We're at your service. Let's Christmas" Jane giggled and Attarah turned around to discover the entire guard around her. "We can decorate and do presents for one another cook you dinner and just...celebrate. This will be our first time celebrating as a family" Jane informed and Attarah beamed, embarrassed to have forgotten the day.
