They gather the few towns people that Link talked too. They go to a local cafe and sit at a table in the far back. Link and Lydia sit on one side of the booth while the 3 others sit on the opposite side.
"Since your here, all of you should have been informed of what's happening and should be on our side. First things first we should all get to know each other. I'll start, I'm Lydia, one of the castles guards." Link looks over to Lydia confused. She looks back at him and nods. He shakes his head.
"You all know me so why don't you three go." He nudges his head toward the three towns people. The girl on the far right raises her head and clears her throat. She has long blonde hair and more of a purple eye color.
"Hey, I'm Syla." Everyone nods and looks over to the next person. They look down and back up to Lydia and Link. A person with shorter black hair and hazel eyes, they clear their throat.
"Hi, I'm Arden. Please use They/Them pronouns for me." Everyone nods and looks over to the last person. They look shy. She has shoulder length light brown hair and green eyes.
"Hello, I'm Garland, you can just call me Gar." Everyone nods.
"Its nice to meet you all" Lydia says and looks to each one of them. They all nod back. Before we start anything let me get you your outfits. I got us all guard outfits so we won't be that suspicious." Lydia pulls out 4 guard uniforms and places them on the table. Each of them take one off of the stack. Lydia nods. "I have also brought weapons. I won't have time to train you, so you will have to learn on your own."
"Okay, so what about the plan?" Arden states and crosses his arms on the table.
"We don't have much time so we're probably gonna start tomorrow. Tonight, go home and get some rest. If anyone asks about the guard uniforms just say it's a costume." Lydia and Link look to each other then back to everyone.
"I know a deserted ally way we can meet tomorrow. That's where we will get ready." Link tells everyone.
"We don't know the full plan of everything yet. So we will just have to go with the flow." Everyone takes a big breath and let's it out. "I will assign you weapons as I see fit. Please trust me and I will trust you." Everyone looks up to Lydia after she says that. She nods. "That is it for today. Go rest and meet tomorrow. Link will show you the ally way. Meet there tomorrow at 7 pm." Everyone get up to leave. Link leads them out of the cafe. Lydia grabs her bag and walks out behind them as back up to the castle. She stops at the castle gates.
After some time has passed, Link walks up to the gates and meets with Lydia.
"Are you ready for this?" Lydia asks. Link laughs slightly. Lydia smiles.
"Are any of us ready for this?" Lydia sighs.
"I don't think so but we gotta do what we gotta do."
"Yep. Also, why did you lie about being the princess? Why did you tell them you were a guard?"
"None of them know who I really am. No one has really seen the 'princess' and if they knew who I was, they would look at me different. I didn't want that. So being a guard worked out. I know how to fight so it fits best."
"That makes sense. Well, we better rest up before tomorrow."
"Yeah." They walk into the castle and into the library. It's quiet and empty. "This is a good place to stay for the night. No one really comes in here so we won't be caught." Link nods. They go and find the chairs in the back. They both sit at a desk and fall asleep.
