Syla turns to look at Lydia in shock.
"Thats all you have to say?! The king just got murdered and all you have to say is 'long live the king'?!" Lydia turns to look at Syla.
"Look who's talking. You didn't say a word." Lydia looks Syla up and down.
"I was in shock but you had zero expression. Your face was blank!" Syla moves closer to Lydia.
"What was I supposed to look like? Scared? Upset? Glad? What? What am I supposed to look like? You really didn't expect this to happen at some point?!" Lydia aggressively steps toward Syla. Everyone turns to look at them.
“Of course I did, I just didn’t think that it would actually happen!” Lydia steps back.
“Then start having more realistic dreams rather than fake ones.” Lydia starts to walks away. Syla goes to grab Lydias shoulder but Arden pulls her back first. Syla looks back at Arden, and Arden shakes his head. “Lets get going” Everyone follows behind Lydia. Link runs up to walk beside of Lydia. He looks up at her.
“Are you ok?” Lydia looks down at the floor and wipes one tear off of her cheek.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Lydia looks over to Link, smirks, nods, then looks back in front of her. Link nods back. As they get further into the woods, the darker it gets. Lydia swings her bag out in front of her and opens it. From the bag, she brings out a lantern.
“Oh that’s very helpful!” Garland states in joy.
“Yeah, I got extra supplies just in case of different situations we might get into.” Everyone nods.
“That was smart, good thinking.” Arden says. Lydia nods and looks over to Syla who looks away.
“Lets keep moving.” They all start walking again. Further into the woods, Link spots lights in the distance.
“Hey, guys. Lights.” He points toward the lights. Everyone looks.
“Lets go check it out.” Lydia looks over to Link and they both nod. They all start walking toward the lights. It’s a shack.
“Thats weird. Why would a shack be all the way out here?” Lydia shrugs her shoulders.
“Who knows but we all need sleep so this is a good place to stay. Lets see if someone is home.” Lydia walks up to the wooden door and knocks. After a minute, some random older man opens the door.
“Well hello! How may I help you all today?” The older man says.
“Um, Hello. My name is Lydia and these are some of my friends. We were wondering the woods and we got lost. Do your think we could stay here for the night?” Lydia moves to the side so the man could see the others. They all nod and wave.
“Well of course you can stay here! You shouldn’t be wondering the woods anyways by yourself this time of night. I have some extra rooms you can stay in!” He moves out of the door way so that everyone can walk in. Lydia nods and everyone starts walking in.
“Thank you so much!!” Lydia says while passing the guy. Everyone follows Lydia inside, one by one. Once their all inside, the man closes the door and they all stand together in the middle of the kitchen.
“The bedrooms are all down the hall. We only have 3 spare bedrooms. Sorry, if that’s not enough.”
“No that’s perfect thank you!” Garland says. They all walk down the hall and open the bedroom doors.
“One of us is gonna have to get a room alone. I’m fine with sharing a room.” Lydia says and looks around to everyone
“Ill share a room.” Link says.
“Same” Arden says.
“Me too.” Syla says while everyone looks over to Garland.
“Ill take the extra room” Lydia nods.
“Well that settles that. Now who’s sharing a room with who?” Lydia states.
“I can share a room with Arden!” Link says and looks over to Arden. Arden nods in agreement.
“Ok cool so me and Syla will share a room.” Syla nods at Lydia. Lydia nods back. Garland walks into a room and closes the door. Arden walks over to Link and they walk into a room and shuts the door. Lydia smirks at Syla. Syla smirks back and walks into a room. Lydia follows and shuts the door.
-Focusing on Lydia and Syla-
Lydia sits on floor.
“You can have the bed!” Syla looks shocked.
“You sure?!” Lydia giggles.
“Yes, I’m sure.” Lydia looks up to Syla.
“Thank you..” Syla goes and also sits on the ground in front of Lydia.
“About earlier, I’m sorry.” Syla’s eyes widen.
“You have no reason to be sorry. I’m the one who should apologize. I got mad for no reason. But, if I may ask, why did you have no expression?” Lydia raises her eyebrows then lowers them. She looks down to the floor.
“I’m gonna let you in on something that no one else can know. Can I trust you?” Syla nods. Lydia takes a deep breath. “The king was my father. I am a princess but I didn’t want you guys to know. Only Link knows. I shed a tear and that was it. I’m the one who blew up the room. I set everything up when I went to get supplies. No one knows that I’m the one who set it.” Syla opens her eyes in shock.
“Wow.”
“Yeah,”
“Lydia, you have every reason to be upset. You don’t have to act all tough all the time. We get it. All of us.” Lydia nods and puts her hand up to her mouth. The sounds of muffles crying comes from Lydia. Tears start to fall to the floor. Syla quickly jumps up hugs Lydia. Lydia starts crying even more. She raises her other hand to her mouth. Syla lowers her chin so that it rest on the back of Lydias head.
“It’s okay.” Syla says in a calm voice and rubs Lydias back.
