Friday afternoon traffic was bad due to an earlier accident the kids and I didn’t arrive at motel till 7pm and we were all hungry I told kids to take their bags in get wash up and we’ll grab dinner out I was too tired to cook. Truth be told I was to tired to go out but we needed to eat.

When I got to our suite the was a wonderful smell of food coming from the room I open the door and walked in surprised to see Marcus had cooked dinner for us. What’s this I asked mrs Jones was there too.

Marcus

You have done so much at the farm this week and you even picked my kids up today so when I finished work today at 2pm I went past the farm all is good I had heard from a few of the fellows at station about the accident and realised you would be delayed so I decided to cook go wash up everyone dinner is ready.

We had a great meal together and after dinner I watched a movie with the kids while Caitlyn went to shower. The movie finished and the kids went to bed I suddenly realised Caitlyn hadn’t come out but there was no water running I gently knock on bedroom door no response I slightly opened it to see Caitlyn passed out on the bed.

This was the first night Caitlyn and I were here all night together and we had not discussed sleeping arrangements I quietly grab a few blankets from the cupboard and made my way to the lounge trying not to disturb Caitlyn. Tomorrow I will discuss what I will look after for next week since I don’t have to work but unfortunately this weekend was a work weekend.

Saturday morning I was woken by the kids whispering when I looked over and asked what was wrong I was surprised to hear at 10am Caitlyn still wasn’t up Daniel asked is mum sick. I had a sudden guilt flash through me Caitlyn had been so busy all week and I hadn’t helped.

Right kids breakfast and dress for jobs on farm we are heading out in 15 minutes makes sure to be quiet Caitlyn needs sleep. I snuck into the room to grab some clothes then left a note to meet us at the farm. Hoping she didn’t mind that I took her kids too

At the farm everything was going nicely the kids were playing and I had several picnic blankets laid out. I had organised for picnic basket of food to be dropped off at 12pm for lunch. At 11.30 I decided to text Caitlyn

“Hi sleepy head hope you had a good sleep I hope you can make it to farm for picnic lunch if not I will return kids at 2 as I have a shift tonight”

I waited no reply at 12 the deli brought the picnic basket I began to worry why Caitlyn hadn’t come then I heard howdy everyone Caitlyn was here.

We all ate together then the kids were off to playing Caitlyn and I pick the grand stands for stadium, flowers, fruit tress and seedlings for vegetables. We also picked out suitable cottage kit homes all by 1pm we played a few games of tip with the kids before heading back to the motel.

After a long sleep this morning And a nice picnic at the farm Marcus headed to work I decided to take the girls shopping at the local boutiques. Why is there so many clothes stores in a small town I wondered out loud.

Stephanie had noticed the clothes boutiques all Taylor made and no one outfit was the same. Stephanie choose the first store to enter and we all followed. This store made fabulous ball gowns for Stephanie age. She spoke to the lady and came up with the perfect gown.

Could you please tell me when the next ball is on the lady replied next weekend is a family ball always at start of school holidays I suddenly remembered school holiday we’re coming up. Stephanie announce I’m gonna text dad. No your dad is at work if this is the dress you want well buy it. I handed over my credit card and we moved on.

Next was Jade she gave the lady a exact description of what she wanted and was excited by the design the lady had done while I was ordering and paying I told Stephanie and jade to take Arabella and ruby to next store and see what they choose I’ll meet them there.

As I was heading to meet the girls I walked past a boutique that made princess dress for my age I was drawn to the shop I told the lady what I wanted and that I would be back in 20 minutes to see design.

When I got to the girls they were waiting the girls had picked their dresses and I just needed to order and pay for them. We walk back to the shop to see the design the lady had made for me it was beautiful so I ordered it. After 3 hours we had picked out shoes jewellery and ordered dresses we were doing good.

After dinner the kids did their thing I began placing orders for all the item Marcus and I had picked out for the farm. Halfway through I realised I hadn’t heard the kids for a while so I went to check they were all asleep.

I finished the ordering before going to rest in bed.

All of a sudden I was woken by footsteps and bathroom door shutting the clock said 5am realising Marcus is back I jumped out of bed and grab some clothes when he appeared I headed for shower.

Marcus

Caitlyn agreed I had the week off and the girls are on holidays I would take care of farm for the week. I started on pop up water sprinklers for fruit plantation as this needed to be done before the contractors could continue.

Before I knew it jerry had some guys on the job too I was taking too long. How is it Caitlyn got so much done and I can’t I thought so much for sharing the load. Job was done at 3pm. I decided to drop the girls back to motel when mrs white and mrs Jones arrived.

Is everything ok I asked mrs Jones smiled of course dear I just wanted to see the cottage. Oh ok would you and mrs white mind taking the girls back to motel when you leave. So I can get a few hours more in. They agreed they looked at the cottage and left. I started on water sprinkler for flowers. Before I knew it night had set. And I called it a day.

The next few days went past so quickly but I was happy with the progress of the farm I decided on Thursday to finish early and have some time with my girls. They had stayed at the motel with mrs white and mrs Jones today.

Walking into motel mr white mouth the words run and I stopped trying to think why he would say that then before I knew it mrs Jones appeared for a older lady she was quick sometimes. Marcus Anthony Dimitri she said with a stern look on her face. Mrs Jones have I done something wrong.

Mrs Jones

I have been watching the friendship and team work between Marcus and Caitlyn over the past two weeks and I knew it was something special. I knew I had to scold Marcus after speaking to the girls.

Marcus Anthony Dimitri I said in a stern voice enough to shock him into asking if he has done something wrong.

I know you and Caitlyn have this whole business arrangement going on but when your working she looks after the girls. She makes sure there’s plenty of food here always cooks for everyone I believe she even cooked for you last week when you arrived after work. She took the kids shopping and do you even remember what Caitlyn asked you to remember to do.

Besides managing the farm. I waited it was like the penny dropped in his head and he replied I know the suites a mess I plan to get it in order this afternoon I still have time. I looked at him with disgust slamming a piece of paper in his chest and throwing my hands in the air I turned to mr white who had watched it all and told him he’s all yours there’s no hope for him walking away.

I was in shock what happened I asked to mr white who simply pointed to the note I was left holding. I looked down two words The Ball I read out loud mr white went pale before commenting did Caitlyn ask you to get a suit.

Yes ooh I was starting to remember Caitlyn saying all the boutiques Taylor make their clothes that I needed to get measured for a suit and that the boys suits would be ready Friday the girls including Caitlyn all had dress fittings on Friday she had organised my girls clothing too.

Mr white is it to late no I have contacts let me tell my wife I’m leaving and we’ll sort you out maybe get you a hair cut to, go boy you run up and have a quick wash he commented.

I went up stairs walking in I noticed the motel empty and a note from Stephanie were hanging with mrs Jones. Dad we like Caitlyn she the first person outside family that is nice to us sorry we had to tell mrs Jones we didn’t know how to tell you please fix it.

I threw the note on the already untidy table and went to take a shower while the water was washing over my hair I thought I’ll be glad to get it cut I really had become a bit scruffy lately suddenly Caitlyn’s softly spoken words ran through my head.

Can you please order your suit Monday everything is Taylor made here and the boys suits are taking a week to be made.

I prayed mr white would come through for me when my thought trailed back to rest of Caitlyn’s conversation.

Also could you please book hair,makeup and nail appointments at beauty salon for the girls and me for Saturday they are closed today so I can’t book it and with the ball being Saturday night it will fill quickly. Plus can you book my boys for Friday afternoon we will be here at lunch time.

I rushed out of the shower changing quickly headed down to mr white. Ready to go he asked? I need to make appointments for the girls at beauty salon for Saturday book the boys for hair cut tomorrow afternoon I said a little to rushed.

I can help with suit and the boys hair but the beauty salon I’m sorry it’s out of my league he said while giving a small chuckle. I looked to mrs white please help me mrs white. Oh I can’t scold like the rest of them mrs Jones has taken care of the beauty salon already.
