I arrived Friday just after lunch with a car full of groceries the kids headed up while I sent a text to marcus “ hi honey your work wife and maid is back with groceries what are you doing can you lend a hand unpacking”

Just as I put my phone in my pocket the kids were all down to help after six trips the grocery were all in motel I watched as the kids all went to sit down in front of the tv. Jade help me make dinner then we made muffins and cupcakes for snacks for next few days before making a cake for dessert. By 4 we were done I phone Daniel to see how it’s was going Stephanie answered told me they would be another hour or two shops were busy and staying open later.

Ok I’m taking the other kids to the farm see you at motel for dinner no later then 6.30pm she agreed. When I arrived at the farm I was in shock the fruit trees were just about finished some flowers had been planted and fruit seedlings were starting to go in.

I look over to see the two slabs which were supposed to be our houses now had frame work the slab for butcher shop had been done and stable had been started. The carpark had fresh layer of tar.

Wow Marcus this is great I said approaching then realised he was still working on sprinklers. Why are these not finish I asked only to get a growl. I bent down and gave him a small kiss on cheek we will help for 2 hour then dinner jade, Arabella and ruby all had different joints they would pass to us.

I was working at the opposite end when I sang out for more sprinkler heads a young boy around ten said I’ll get it miss and passed me a new box of them taking the old box. Thank you who are you I asked holding out his hand he said I’m Nathan Jerry’s son.

Before long it was done I couldn’t resist my urge to have some fun I told Marcus I think the one in the middle wasn’t in properly when he adventure over to look I nodded to Nathan to turn sprinkle on soaking Marcus.

I was laughing so much I didn’t notice him stalking towards me pulling me into the garden with him . I screamed and laughed but lost my balance Marcus tried to steady me up but it was no use we both fell in the garden.

Saturday Marcus went to get his suit Stephanie jade an myself got our nails and make up done Daniel looked after the other three kids till Marcus got back then 2 hours later Marcus dropped the young girls off to get their hair done.

I pushed past to the bedroom hearing Stephanie bark at her dad the kids are dressed we are to meant to meet mrs Jones, mr and mrs white down stairs in 5 minutes take the kids Caitlyn and I will be down soon. As she slammed the bedroom door shut behind her.

Calm down it’s ok I’ll put my dress on and Stephanie did it up jewellery was next while I was putting it on I asked Stephanie why she was so harsh with her dad. People were coming up to us been introduced by mrs Jones and mrs white while mr white was introducing Marcus to some blokes. In passing I heard a few blokes congratulate him on his beautiful wife and family. The smile on my face started to disappear when I heard him say Caitlyn is only my business partner 3 of the girls are mine though.

Suddenly I was bombarded by men asking me to dance and I knew I shouldn’t be upset with Marcus telling the truth but part me was, I danced with practically every male except Marcus. I was now disappointed. I was dancing with mr white he must have notice as he asked what’s wrong darling.

Looking at him smiling oh nothing really I’m just wondering if you have any spare rooms tonight. Mr white looked at me shocked what’s happened you and Marcus are usually great together but tonight it’s like strangers. We are business partners with him getting babysitting and maid perks. Suddenly realising I said to much I asked about the room as tonight after being here dancing I didn’t want either of us to have to sleep on the lounge. Mr white smiled we have a room I’ll get you the key when we get back.
