Before leaving Sunday Marcus made arrangements to meet Caitlyn at the girls school at 8.30 turns out ruby and Arabella were in the same class.

Hi Marcus she said getting into the car I prepared a list of what needs to be done so we can discuss it along the way .

Smiled morning Caitlyn I was hoping we could also talk and get to know each other I too planed a list to talk about. Marcus watch Caitlyn lips form a o shape with the soft sound echo out. Here is the list with my answer you can read it out then give me your answer.

Caitlyn took his list feeling uncomfortable at someone else having more control than she was use to. She took a deep breath and began.

M) I have 2 brothers one who is in the army the other tony who I live with him and his wife Louise

C) no however I have a Aunty who is only seven years different we grew up like sisters

Looking at the next question Caitlyn heart sunk and tears began to stream Marcus pull the car over turn to Caitlyn with a box of tissues whats wrong? It to took Caitlyn a few seconds before letting the words out through her tears.

4. When and how did your spouse pass away

M) 5 years ago when Arabella was born my wife died at child birth. However we told Arabella after she was born her mum got sick and couldn’t recover I didn’t want her to blame herself for her mum’s death.

Hearing the words Marcus automatically replied what do mean by “what most people call a accident”

My husband was already bored with married life and his boys but refused to get a divorce as he would have been shame in his family he always say I’ll die before getting a divorce. It wasn’t all bad just the times where he had to deal with him by ourselves he was always moody. Then when I told him I was pregnant I never expected what he did next we had a long driveway which he came speeding up waving by to the boys and me as he hit the pole in front of us.

Due to there been no suicide note and his family’s details of how happy he was work family etc it went down as a accident. Oh Caitlyn I’m sorry I’m simply asked because everyone usually ask me and I prefer to talk about it away from the girls.

I’m ok Marcus I feel a weight lifted just talking about it anyway you should probably get driving we’ll be late Caitlyn spoke quietly before looking to last item on the list and giggling.

C) yes what about favourite food music and movies. What about the fact you have my number and I still don’t know yours I had to get Stephanie to call you last Saturday. What if something was wrong with the girls you give me your children but not your number?

I-I- didn’t think sometimes I forget we just meet here give me your I put my number in.

After placing his number in Caitlyn phone he pulled back onto the road we are about half hour away how about you read me your list of demands haha.( Marcus could tell Caitlyn was use to been control)

Ok well I’ll read through and you can tell me at the end if you have anything to add.

1. Fix mrs Jones cottage

2. Fruit tree plantation - remove dead ones increase area buy new trees have them planted and build a 6ft fence

3. Flower gardens - remove dead ones increase area buy new one plant them build seperate gate/fence and fix flower shop

4. Vegetables and fruit garden - find area suitable build gardens buy seeds and seedlings plant them fence them in

5 build stable buy horses and pony’s and feed also find area and mark out for pony rides

6 build barnyard house for other animals buy petting zoo animals

7.mark out a area for petting zoo with fences

8 build cafe and shop

9 make a area for shows

10 build a butcher shop buy necessary animals

11 build staff cabins

12 build a car park

God I hope not how long are you giving us for that list I thought I heard you say all operational within 12 months. Yeah that’s heaps of time Caitlyn replied.

Where is the fun part I asked in a whinging voice I still want to have a good time Caitlyn smile I promise to give you one fun moment every time we are together ok

Ok I said pulling into carpark we got out and headed into the motel mr white indicated the lady’s were waiting in the bar. Walking In I greeted both ladies with a handshake before Caitlyn hand swaying against me this is no ordinary business deals these ladies are our friends and family now where are your manners giving each lady a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I turn pink with the embarrassment of being scolded in front of them.

Sorry I apparently am a bit behind what paperwork would you like us to look at. I just got out before I heard the large sigh from Caitlyn looking at her I leant over to her and whispered what did I do now? She whisper into my ear we just got here what about asking if anyone wants drinks or something before getting down to overtaking someone’s life.

Suddenly I was scolded again and realised I was acting as if the people were our contractors why am I being like this it’s driving me crazy I’ve always been thoughtful just then I was pulled out of my thought by Caitlyn asking if anyone wanted a drink or something to eat? I stood I’ll get it I said a little to loud I got us all drinks and some garlic bread to snack on ready to hear what mrs Jones had to say.

Firstly I have a copy of the land sale for you both to sign handing us the paperwork and a pen Marcus and Caitlyn took a look - wait Caitlyn says this is for $400,000 we only paid 200,000 yes dear but you already had contractors start work and you paid to stay here I want to pay this much case closed. Sign it I barked with force. They both signed it.

Now that out of the way I have created a joint business account bank awaiting details from you for business and two individual manager accounts one in each of your names that has 100,000 in each to start with in case you can’t both be together when needing to pay. I expected a progress report every month of outgoing and later incomings I will top up main account as I see fit. Sign these papers for the bank to say I have given you your card and this one for your signature on file.

Next is a form for the motel to say you have the penthouse suite for next 18 months at no charge. Also should you have any visitors stay with providing there is room there will be no charge. Sign here

All done I can’t wait to see how this turns out any questions for me? Marcus spoke trying to beat Caitlyn which always made me laugh. We don’t have much time on day visits and I don’t want to seem ungrateful or disrespectful but I’m wondering will you be ok if we don’t happen to see you on day visits during the week and only having dinner with us on the weekend when we are here.

My pleasure son I never expected to see you every time and speaking of I believe you need to be heading off so you won’t be late for kiddos.

A quick kiss and hug good bye and we were on the road back home again. Caitlyn I sang her name you promise me fun every time we were together where’s today fun I smile trying to get a rise out of her.

To my shock she simply replied no fun on days you need to be punished for forgetting your manners. I could see she was pretty proud of her remark then it hit me like a lightning bolt. What is my punishment then miss? Ha that will make her blush I thought. She turned to me no fun that’s your punishment. Now im making a O shaped face and blushing.

I can’t make it out to Logan for till Friday as i am on duty here all week then I’ll have to drive up Thursday night the girls will have to miss school as I am working Friday at Logan. I can pick the girls up and bring them Friday so they don’t miss school Caitlyn replied Thanks I owe you one.
