The next morning dawned, and Eric woke up to Hazel curled up on his chest quite literally. She was much smaller than he was and able to completely cover his chest, but her weight didn’t register. He wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her ear. He was rewarded with the squeak he was looking for and grinned. “Morning, Your Highness.” She swatted his chest but hugged him back. Hazel signed.
I have to get ready. Elaina and I have a big photo shoot today. Some band wants to use us for their posters and album cover.
Eric raised a brow and smiled. “Sounds like a great opportunity. I have to meet Anthony for some stuff, too, so we can ride back to their house if you want.” Hazel nodded and smiled. She signed into his palm.
Yes, please, but first I need a shower.
