I was nervous about all that has been happening to me and my family recently, as the dark man said tonight someone, another heir should come and help me. Although all my efforts and research didn't pay off until this morning. I've discovered a secret chamber underneath my father's desk full of files about his activities as a guardian, reports that maybe were meant to be mine to study all along. I was desperate about not finding even the slightest clue in the whole library and not even my father's office so I decided to carefully search every inch of the room again. As I was searching a strange symbol that looked like the letter "A" suddenly caught my eye and I was amazed by my stupidity and ignorance. I was surrounded by this symbol my whole life and after a few weeks of searching all over my place, I finally got the point. I followed this symbol and it led me all over the house. It was engraved on my father's precious belongings and in the rooms, he usually prefered to hang in. Even on the frames of his favourite oil paintings. After I looked for it here and there it led me back to my father's office room. As I was turning the place upside down I felt like giving up for a split second as I couldn't find it anywhere but I'm sure it has to be around here somewhere. My father never let me stay in his office unsupervised. As I threw myself upset and out of clues on the vintage leather couch that were facing my father's big mahogany desk I was blankly staring at the white fireplace. I started to admire the miniature sculptures that decorated it and suddenly my eyes stopped on the side. The symbol was as big as my head engraved right there on the sides of the fireplace surrounded by so many ornaments that it will become almost unnoticed. I jumped right on my feet and ran straight to the symbol. I only touched it simply with my hand and suddenly something incredible happened. The mahogany desk transformed into a door that led into a secret underground chamber. As I stepped down the stairs and entered the chamber I noticed that the walls were full of shelves that were filled with books, files, reports, records of my father's activity, of the earth population, evolution and even mortality. In the corner of the room, there was a small desk that had only one book, as I got close to take a look I realised it was a leather-covered diary, my father's. I was shocked that everything about his double life, his hidden identity was right underneath us since forever. As I glanced in front of the desk on the wall while grabbing the diary I was facing a big symbol, the same symbol, that cursed letter "A". I touched it and the wall opened like a door and when I looked inside it was a safebox. Maybe this is where my father used to keep the key. But to get to this was a challenge so it is quite strange how it seems to have been effortlessly stolen. Perhaps we have been watched for months or even years. That single thought made my insides hurt and my toes curl in fear and disgust. I grabbed a few files and books besides the diary, formed a pile that I barely managed to carry to the library to study them. The library has always been a safe place for me mentally and spiritually and now in these dark times more than ever. I sited quietly at my small desk in our house library I started reading through the diary. It had every detail of my father's life since he discovered his actual position in this world.Unlike him who didn't say a word about all this mess, his father started teaching him everything since he was fifteen, he became a guardian when he was 21.He was so young, after that he met my mother and had me and then she perished. I was hoping to find more about her at least in his diary as he never talks about her because it's too painful for him. She died giving birth, a sudden death. I discovered a few things about the key and its maker who I assume is the dark stranger. I can't belive I was so rude to an actual god. I discovered details about this so place called Anathema and the other dimensions and how they came to be separated and remain like that. It had events from my father's life he held dear and secrets I was never meant to find out. As I was focused on learning as much as I could in the short period of time left for me before embarking on a journey of a lifetime or perhaps more. I didn't notice the stranger that climbed my window like a creepy stalker. When I refocused my gaze from the desk to his face my jaw dropped. He was nothing like the dark man, I mean Time the master of everything, he was indeed handsome but he looked kind, warm almost but his glare seemed deadly. I didn't scream because he did not scare me one bit. It felt enchanting to watch him, it seemed like admiring a picture. I was sure that he was the heir, my partner on this task. He clearly does not want to be here neither do I but I have a strong feeling that fate will bring us together one way or another but only time will tell how exactly ...
