Who are you? Anna asked the charming stranger even if she had a hunch that told her that this man was the one she was supposed to expect tonight. She thought he was early but she was slightly glancing over the man's shoulder who was by the window and she noticed that it was probably the middle of the night. She did not feel the time passing as she was too focused on discovering her father's dark secrets.

 Lexus felt quite shy when he heard her voice. Even her voice was enchanting. He was shocked because of her question. Was she that clueless? More importantly, he needed to get it back together and discuss the important matter that forced him to travel through the world, the Key.

My name is Lexus, I am an heir just like you, only more prepared for the job. he said rather superior which was probably meant to impress Anna but it didn't. It only made her feel bad about the fact that she was indeed clueless and she blamed herself for that even if she knew it wasn't her fault.

As he proudly stated the fact that he was more prepared Lexus noticed that Anna's expression darkened, she suddenly seemed sad and trapped in one of the hardest battles one can have our mind. He felt bad, it wasn't his intention to upset her but rather to look cool in front of this girl that he thought she might be the spring incarnated. She was so beautiful yet so fragile, his mind told him it was nothing serious but his heart was set on protecting hers. 

Are you not introducing yourself or should I pick a nickname for you?

My name is Anna. A pleasure to meet you mister Lexus?

Mister? Don't make me laugh, please. Who do you think I am? My father?

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult you, Lexus.

Woah! Calm down, there is no need to be so formal around me. First of all, I think we are kind of the same age and secondly, for this mission to work out, I think we better become friends. Best friends if you like. You can speak your mind always around me and I will do the same.

She suddenly had this dazzling smile, she looked so happy but her eyes were still sad. I mean it is to be understood her dad is locked up and her whole world is upsidedown.

Look! We don't have much time on our hands. We must be prepared for the journey by the next full moon. You probably wonder how are we going to do that. Well, we are going to travel by moonlight rays, you may not know what I am talking about and that is fine. We will train you until then. Most importantly you have to trust me. I also will put my trust in you. Questions?

Yes, many. I found some documents in a secret chamber that belonged to my father. I may have a vague idea about moonlight rays and how they work but weren't you supposed to have your key? 

I know, I know but unfortunately, our master has forbidden me to use it to keep it safe. It will be indeed a long journey most likely full of hardships and unexpected events and that is why I packed everything that I thought would help us in various situations.

Really? But where is your luggage? It must be heavy?

Not at all, it is all here! he said while pointing at his fannypack and a really weird looking one I might add.

There? Are you joking? You can barely fit 3 things inside that!

I told you to trust me, didn't I? He said as he started to pull all sorts of weird things out. That small bag seemed bottomless.

I can't believe it! How could you fit all these there? It is amazing! But what are these weird things?

They are all sorts of helpful things. You will see! Now, I don't mean to be rude or anything but what is for dinner? I'm starving.

I wasn't that sure that I will have guests so I will prepare something for you quickly.

As Anna went to the kitchen to prepare something for her guest she couldn't help herself but smile as she felt warm inside her chest thinking of what Lexus had said that they will be friends. He would be her first friend and she set her mind on treasuring their growing friendship. 

Lexus was now alone in the library, he sighed relieved that she was not some spoiled mean girl but rather a calm and literate person. They already have much in common and that was a relief and hopefully, the mission will run smoothly.

He walked around the library and checked the titles neatly arranged in alphabetical order. He noticed many books he already had read with his uncle when he was just a boy and couldn't help but feel closer to Anna. He had a feeling that she was never going to leave his mind anytime soon. 

Anna prepared some grilled cheese and some omelette. She wasn't a great cook but she could handle the basics. She went back to the library to check if Lexus was still there. And there he was, handsomely searching the shelves smiling, he was beautiful, his long fingers were caressing the books and he was soo tall that he could easily take any books from the top shelves even without a ladder. As she kept watching his gracious moves around her books Anna felt her cheeks burning and her heart beating abnormally. Was she sick? Was she attracted to this man, or was she just a little too happy about her new friend? Either way, she knew they will be getting along pretty good from now on, she only wished they can finish their task as soon as possible because she was missing her father so very much.
