I have a mate who's nearly engaged to someone else. The moment I found out, I asked Sean to dig up everything he could, and that's exactly what he told me. Green Valley's arranging an alliance, and Jane is the centerpiece of it. Her family's doing it for her own good, apparently, but Gabriel is a jerk, and everyone knows it.
Since laying eyes on her, I can't focus on anything else. She's taken over every corner of my mind. I can't stand the thought of her name attached to someone else, let alone the idea of her actually marrying him.
I think about approaching her father directly, but given our history, he'll never take it as anything but interference in his pack's affairs — completely unacceptable from his side. I need to talk to her myself and find so
