The King's Alpha

Karmin's POV "I can not believe you won't send us to go and fetch them from the airport... I mean really the King AND Queen are coming and you send some delta instead of your Beta and Top fighter to get them from the dam airport!!" I could feel the headache growing and growing the longer I allowed Hailey to carry on... "ENOUGH!!" the room went dead silent. "Hailey I swear if you say one more word about it not only will you no longer be the future Beta of this pack but we won't be besties either!" well that did it. Hailey gave me a shocked look and excused herself. I carried on looking out my office window towards the ocean, it was such a beautiful day with the dophains playing in the little bay. I sighed, the problem is she was right and this was not the correct way to welcome the King and Queen to our country let alone pack lands, but I just didn't have a choice. I couldn't leave our pack lands and I knew they would understand why I needed our best here and not meeting them at the airport once I explained our situation here.. Besides the Queens guards would have eliminated the threat before the Royals even knew they were in danger... thats just how good they are. I take one last look at the bay and mindlink the omega team who will be looking after the King and Queen to meet me in my office for our last briefing. Within minutes the team of 10 are standing in front of me with my head omega Ava at their lead. "Alright team, as you know the King and Queen will be arriving tomorrow. Their plane lands at about 8:30am and we should expect them to be here by 10:00. The renovations on the old Bay Moon pack house was completed last week so the mansion is ready for the Royals to be staying with us. As you know you all will be their personal team so if there is anything they need or want Ava you know where to find me. The dungeons have been transformed into accommodation for you so I am sorry but you will need to be staying at the mansion. Those with mates are more than welcome have them stay with you. Please see this as a test to see whether you will become the permanent omega team for the Bay Moon mansion." "Yes Alpha" they all said in unison. I'm not a hard or mean Alpha but it is moments like this that make all the hardship worth it. This was my best of the best and I knew they would take care of the Royals as if they were taking care of me. "Great, now Ava please make sure that they have refreshments and a light snack in the cars for their drive here. I'm giving you only an 1hr 30min travel time because I would rather you be ready and waiting than rushing around when they are here. Once they have arrived I will show them around the mansion and to their rooms. I'll ask when they would like lunch to be served and then we will have a big dinner this evening." "Yes Alpha" Ava replied. " I will give you the rest of the meal plan tomorrow. Once they have gone then we will be in fill preparation mode for the Alpha meeting. The old Klienmont pack house should be completed by Friday so we will have more than enough time to prep and prepare all the rooms in the mansion for he Alphas and Betas. The rest of you guys can go. How are they? Are they really ready for this? Are they too young to be given this type of responsibility??" "Alpha I know they might seem young but theybare the top of their class. They took everything that was meant to be taught over a period of two years into one and have crushed it. All they really want to do is make you proud more than anything as they are so greatly for you. And plus, if they weren't ready I would let them be here." I nodded as I thought about her words.
