Ch 5 Quinn

It was 6am, and her mother was currently in her head, telling her all their beauty appointments today.

-9am Nails

-11am Hair

-1pm Restaurant for food.

-3pm Make up

It was going to be a long ass day. Honestly, someone killed me now, please.

"Are you listening to me?" Mom asked.

Sort off mother, she will meet you at the salon. It's going to be a long day of sitting. She is going to go for a run, or she won't last. Mother paused for a moment.

"Okay, go, but don't forget to eat. I'll see you at 9 am. " mom said.

She changed into her sportswear and off she went ohhh she's going to need this. Mother is going to drive her mad. She was running back to the pack house when she felt someone follow she stopped and spun round it's was him.

He was in black shorts and a black shirt and black trainers the man clearly liked black clothes. He did have smooth looking dark skin. All his hair was pushed back from the sweat. His silver grey eyes. He was handsome for an older man.

He was older than her own father, and the Alpha she'd heard them talking about him. Jack apologised that she didn't really care for it. She would rarely see this man but accepted it for the pack.

She headed back to her suite to get ready for this day of hell with her mother. She heard a knock at the door. She answered it, and it was Julian. Alpha Julian, is everything okay?

"Yes, and it just Julian Quinn, you know this. "

Okay, what can she help you with? he did something she never expected him to do. Julian kissed her. She pushed him away. No, we can't. We decided last time was the last time. We need to stick to it.

"I miss you," Julian said.

He stepped back closer to her. This is just the full moon it's got you all hyped up.

"That new Alpha like you," he said.

She was very confused. He doesn't he actually only apologised because he needs this pack. If he wasn't getting anything out of us, he would have just left without an apology.

"He does. I don't blame him." he said and kissed her again.

She pushed him harder this time, and he fell to the ground. She's sorry for the attack Alpha Julian, but she did say no. Now please leave. He stood up, shocked by her rejection. She turned to see her father standing in the doorway.

"Alpha Julian, you heard my daughter please leave or do I have to call your father here the Alpha," Dad said.

Julian looked at her father, then her, and walked out. She exhaled since she was 18, and he 23 every full moon he was at home and didn't find his mate they would hook up. She put a stop to it last year when Alpha announced in 12 months' time his son was going to take over.

"I told you this would happen." Dad said.

She knows she put a stop to it a year ago. Julian is jealous he has this stupid idea Alpha Jack likes her. Her father said nothing. What?

"I saw you both flirting," he said.

Her jaw dropped. Wash your mouth out she was not flirting, and neither was he. Jack... Alpha Jack, she corrected herself. He was just trying to clear the air as he knew he'd royally screwed up with this pack.

She only accepted his apology, as she knows Alpha Jack needs us more than we need him, but she's aware he's wealthy, and his business will bring good revenue for our pack.

"That it will, but I saw something, a twinkle in both your eyes," He said

You saw nothing, old man. You need to get your eyes checked. "Watch it," well as much as she's enjoying this conversation. If she's late to meet mum, it's on your head. She walked away.

She headed for her car. It was a chrome purple Jeep Wrangler with black tinted windows. Purple wheel trims. It was a very out they vehicle, but she loved it. It had black and purple leather seats it was a beaut. She headed down to the nail salon. Her mother was waiting outside.

"Why did you drive?" Mother asked.

So she wouldn't be late she was held up by Alpha Jack, then Alpha Julian and Father, so blame those 3 men.

"Okay, let's get going," mom said

The nail salon was set for manicures and pedicures. The nail technician asked what she wanted. Her mom went to speak, and Quinn gave her a look. Her mother shut her mouth. Just a simple file, buff and paint. The nail technician nodded.

"So, are you excited for tonight?" Mom asked.

Yeah, sure, it's like every other full moon. "Quinny?" What mother she never has any expectations with the full moon. Mother, she's wolfless. She's not going to be mated to a wolf. She knows that's what you are hoping for, but please just let her live her life.

Mom nodded. "I just want the best for you."

She knows, and she reached out and held her mother's hand. We had our nails done. Quinn had her nails painted a pastel purple. Her hair had curled and pined to one side. She did, actually, like it.

"See, being all girly isn't so bad," mom said.

She guessed not. We had lunch, and it was nice. As we were walking to the MUA, she walked past a shop, so she saw a beautiful dress in the window it was simple, one shoulder floor length with a split up her leg. It was a beautiful, bright, bold colour.

"You like?" Mom asked.

Yes, it's lovely. An option for the next full moon. She liked her makeup today it was light and simple. Thank you for today. Mom, she had a good time.

"Me too. Well, I'll leave you to get ready and 6 pm in the ballroom, " Mom said.

She walked into her suite and stopped dead. The dress she saw was hanging in her bedroom. Her mom linked her.

"Is it the right one?" Mom asked.

Yes, thank you, you shouldn't have. You'd already bought her a dress.

"I know I returned it. Someone else can enjoy it. I expect you in it soon. " mom said, cutting the link.

She put the dress on. She was looking at herself when he brother Kruz walked in.

"Well, dont you look awful."

Haha, very funny, don't you ever knock.

"No, I'm your brother. I don't need to." Kruz said.

What are you doing here anyway?

"Well, I thought I'd walk you into the ball?" Why?

"Just supporting my little sister," he said. Come on, she doesn't buy it. What's happened?

"Father might have mentioned what Julian did." Nothing happened. she is fine.

"Well, I will be walking with you in case he turns up again. He might be our future Alpha, but you are my sister, and family comes first. " He said.

Okay, well, let's go then. Kruz opened the door to Alpha Julian. Kruz stood in front of her.

"Alpha Julian, what can I do for you?" Kruz said.

"I just wanted to see if Quinn needed escorting to the ball?" Julian said.

"Well, that nice of you, Julian, but I will be doing that for my sister and you as future Alpha. You should be already in the ball. possibly your mate waiting for you ," Kruz said with his arms folded.

Julian nodded and walked away. Kruz, really?

"He's up to something I can tell. I told you never to date him. " Kruz said.

Okay, she's heard this lecture today already. Can we just go before mom's head bursts. We walked into the ballroom, and it was beautifully decorated. Our pack colours are black, blue, and silver. The vases were full of white roses. They were twinkle lights all around. The table cloths were black and blue and an overlay silver cloth.

It looks great. They were 3 packs here, including Alpha Jack's pack. Jack sat at his table with his alpha unit and warriors. She saw Julian watching her and Jack. The moon was setting 7:10 this evening. Her father approached her.

"May I have a dance with my lovely daughter?" dad asked.

Well, since you asked so nicely. Yes. She was dancing with her dad. You're not bad, dad.

"I'm not just a pretty face," he said.

Dad, why did you tell Kruz about Julian?

"Because he's your brother, and I'm concerned. Julian watches you all the time. He's inloved with you, and if you have a mate here tonight, I don't trust him not to show off. " Dad said.

Do you really think he'd would kick off with his dad present?

"I dont know, but I wanted a plan in place just in case. " He said.

She exhaled. She should have ended things years ago and maybe actively looked for a mate. She thinks that because she never did it, it gave him hope we could one day mate up. "This is on me," Quinn said.

"Look at me, Quinny, this isn't your fault. Yes, you probably should have put an end to it, but it took 2 people, not one, " he said.

We stopped dancing as the moon set. She felt her father shiver, not something she felt. Then she heard a loud growl, and someone said, "Mate." She saw Alpha Jack storm across the ballroom and stand in front of her.

"Quinn, can we talk in private, please?" he asked. Why? then he saw his eyes change to a darker grey, and his wolf pushed forward. "Mate," her eyes went wide. Did he just say, mate????
