Ch 6 Quinn

Did she just hear him right. Did you just say mate? He nodded. How does she know you're telling the truth?

"I am. I have no reason to lie," Jack said.

She heard yelling. "No no no you are not being mated to him." Julian said.

"Right, my office now," Alpha Lutton said, poining at herself, her father, and Jack. She saw Julian walk to come with us, and Julian unit held him back.

"No, son, you stay here.Watch over the ball," Lutton said.

"I should be there, Father," Julian shouted.

"It's not a request Julian it's an order," Lutton said.

Jack's unit followed, and her parents and Kruz all came into Alpha Lutton office.

"Well, this is a weird turn of events. Please, everyone, sit down." Lutton said

No one is speaking. "Okay, Quinn are able to sense if Alpha Jack is your mate?" he asked.

No, she does not. I'm wolfless. " Remember.

"Alpha Jack, please explain," Lutton asked.

"Well, this is a private conversation with Quinn," Jack said

"Yes, I see that, but this is a very unique situation, and these questions need to be asked for Quinn and her family. You are technically a stranger, Alpha Jack." He said.

Jack exhaled. "The moon set, and I scented blackberry and roses. My wolf said in my mind that he scented mate and told me it was Quinn. The more I got to her, the stronger it was. I have no reason to lie. I never expected to get another mate. No one is more shocked than me, " Jack said.

"Unhappy about it?" Dad asked.

"Quentin? " Mother scowled at him.

"I'm not happy or unhappy, just shocked and getting my head around it. I have no plans to reject her. If that's what you were asking, Quentin, unless that's what Quinn wants," Jack said.

She needs time to think about this. Can we talk about this tomorrow. Alpha Lutton and Alpha Jack. She's sure you will have new pack members to meet, and she needs a minute to think.

"Are you alright about that, Alpha Jack?" Lutton asked.

"If I'm honest, I would rather talk to Quinn now one on one but I understand this is a shock all round." Jack said.

She just got up and left. She basically ran to her suite. She didn't take even take the lift, just the stairs, 2 steps at a time. She ran straight into her suite to find Julian waiting. For f**k sake Julian go away, now. Leave.

"Can we talk, please?"

No, we are over, Julian. We have been for years now. She isn't your mate. You need to start actively looking for your mate, Juilan, because it's not her. She will never take a chosen mate. She turned to walk away, and he grabbed her.

"Why are you doing this too me you know I love you," Julian said.

Julian, let go now. We've been over for years now, and you need to move on. He looked angry.

"You just used me to not feel wolfless, didn't you, the Alpha's son," Julian yelled.

Juilan, get out now.

"Make me you pathetic wolfless," he said.

All of a sudden, she saw him being dragged back and thrown to the ground. Jack was in front of her.

"Are you alright? he asked.

Then Juilan tackled Jack to the ground. Julian, stop. Her brother, father, and Alpha Lutton ran in. Kruz and Lutton split them up.

"Are you alright?" he father asked.

Yes, she thinks so, shocked more than anything.

"Out now," Alpha Lutton roared at his son.

"But father," he pleaded.

"Out now before you spend the night in a cell." He said.

Juilan unit dragged him out. Alpha Lutton turned to her and exhaled, looking down.

"I'm sorry, Quinn. I've known for a while that he's had strong feelings for you, but I never thought he'd do this. Did he hurt you?" He asked.

No, but she was about to hurt him. This dress is restricting her movement, is all. Lutton smiled.

"Thank you for not. You've kicked his ass many times. " Lutton said

"Too right she can," Father said.

He walked over to Alpha Jack and held his hand out.

"Thank you, Alpha Jack. My daughter CAN handle herself, but she's still my little girl to protect regardless of her age. " he said, smiling at Quinn.

"You're welcome. I'm glad she is okay," Jack said.

Jack went to walk out. Alpha Jack, can we speak for a moment. Dad, Alpha Lutton, can you give us a moment, please? Both looked concerned. Nothing is going to be decided a mating alliance she thinks will be best.

Both nodded and left. Alpha Jack, Thank you for coming to her rescue. She's never been attacked by someone close to her she kind of didn't react. She never saw it coming.

"I did for the 24 hours I've been here he's watched your every move. He's in love with you. You both living together is never going to work. " He said.

She knows. She might have to move out into town and put some distance between us.

"So you don't want to try being mated to me then?" he said, frowning.

You want to be mated to her?

"I was willing to try? The goddess paired us for a reason." He said.

She did, but don't take this the wrong way, but how does she know it's the truth.

"I have no reason to lie," he said

Yes, but we don't know each other at all.

"Let's us take this opportunity to get to know each other and give you and Julian," he says grated through his teeth. "Some space apart." He said.

She's not saying no or yes. She just needs to sleep on it. It's been crazy today. She just needs to shower and sleep. We will talk again tomorrow.

"Okay, I can accept that. Good night. " Jack said.

He left. She just flopped on her sofa. Her mother linked her.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" she asked.

Yes, she just needs some time alone. She will see you all in the morning.

"Okay, you know we're we are if you need us."

She does. She had a shower and changed. She got straight into bed. She is mentally and physically drained. She didn't sleep to well-kept, tossing and turning. She woke up about 4am it was still dark outside. She got dressed in her joggers and decided to run. She felt so much better out in the fresh air. As she ran back into the foyer. Her parents, Alpha Jack and Alpha Lutton, were waiting for her.

"Are you okay?" Mom asked.

Yes, she needed to run she couldn't sleep. She was replaying everything in her sleep.

"Can we have that meeting, Quinn? Alpha Jack needs to get back to his pack today." Lutton asked.

She looked at Jack he had a very straight face. Would it be possible to shower and change first. It wouldn't take long.

"Of course, we will be waiting in my office," Alpha Lutton said.

She headed to shower and change she put waffles in the toaster while she showered. She ate them while she dressed. It was 15 minutes later that she stood outside the Alpha office finding the courage to go in she took a deep breath and walked in.
