Trevor smiled as they made their way over to Lydia’s family. He was actually a little nervous, to be honest. He liked Lydia and was excited that he got to spend some more time with her. He was shocked at first when she invited him over for the family get together as a thank you for helping her out the last few weeks while her arm healed. He didn't do it because he felt bad because she got hurt at his game but because he wanted to. They finally made it over to the picnic tables where her family was set up. Mr. Wilson looked up, "Trevor it's nice to see you. We are glad you came. Please make yourself comfortable. This is Kayla, my sister, and her husband David. The two children over there, (he pointed over at the other table where two kids were throwing chips ar each other), is Simon and Lily." Mr. Wilson turned toward Lydia and gave her a hug and kissed her head. He saw that she blushed. It was so cute how she blushed, it reached her ears. He finally let her go and she grabbed Trevor's hand and they made their way over to Lily and Simon.  Lydia waved at them and introduced to them to him. He shook Simon's hand and smiled at Lily. "Dang, Lydia where did you find him? I should move here, if there are more guys that look like that here." Lily said while her eyes were roaming up and down over me. I am kinda use to girl eyeing me like this but now to be blatantly looked at like I was a piece of meat in front of the only girl I wanted felt wrong. Lydia just glanced at me and looked back at Lily and said, "Oh, you know I just literally ran into him on the first day of school. He has been such a good friend and helped me out after I broke my arm at the football game a few weeks ago. Wanna jump into the water, Lily?" She smiled and said, "Sure," and winked at Trevor before they went to the pier. Trevor followed Lydia's movements and as she got onto the pier she took her wrap off and it his breath away. She was wearing a red with white polka dot bikini and she was absolutely stunning. Lydia took a tentative glance up towards him and gave him a shy smiled before dived into the water. Simon slapped him on his back and it brought Trevor back to reality, "So, are you two a thing?" Trevor looked at him and didn't know what to think. He knew he liked her but they were still in the Friend Zone. "Nah, we are friends. But I'm planning on asking her to the homecoming dance that is our school next weekend." "Yeah, the look on your face when she took her wrap off, I knew you were into her man. She is my cousin and I care for her, so just treat her right, OK," Simon said. Trevor nodded and waved at the water, "Want to join them?" Simon laughed, "Heck yeah, let's go." They took off towards the pier and took their shirts off and jumped in and splashed the girls in the process. Lydia screamed, "Hey, no splashing." Trevor swam towards her and grabbed her around the waist and hoisted her up, "Put me down, Trevor, right now." Trevor laughed and said "As you wish." He threw her further in the water. When she drew to the surface, she looked mad, but as they stared at each other Lydia finally started laughing. Lydia swam back over to him and pushed him under the water. Trevor grabbed her feet and brought her under too. When they both returned to the surface, they just stared at each other and Trevor moved closer to her and noticed that she didn’t moved to stay there looking at him. Trevor brought his hand up to get some hair off her face. Trevor looked into her eyes for a clue as to what she wanted. And as soon as he was leaning into kiss her when Lily swam over and splashed them both. Trevor groaned inwardly and looked back at Lydia and noticed she was blushing so hard, he smiled and said in a whisper, "Wanna get her?" Lydia smiled and nodded. So they all started to splash each other. Trevor was hoping that before the day was over he would get another opportunity to try to kiss her.  They played in the water for a while then the parents announced that it was time to eat. They all got out and grabbed a towel and something to drink before they sat down at the picnic tables to start eating. Kayla looked at Trevor and smiled, "So, how do you know my niece?" Trevor replied saying, "She goes to my school. I'm a senior and on the first day of school she literally ran smack into me." Trevor stole a glance at Lydia and winked at her and she blushed once again. He loved how she got shy about things that was so embarrassing to her. He didn't regret ever running into her that day.  Kayla laughed at that and looked at Lydia, "That's my niece, ever so clumsy, she take after me." She reached over and patted Lydia's hand. Trevor smiled and started gathering some food on his plate and when he sat it down he dared a glance at Lily and notice she was eyeing him again. He groaned inwardly again. She was something else. He was glad that he was warned. He was going to try to stay away from her for the rest of the evening. He knew that the splash in the water was intentional. After they ate their lunch and cleaned u. The parents wanted to stay for a bit longer. Trevor walked over to Lydia and asked if she wanted to take a walk. Lydia smiled and nodded. "Mom, we are going for a walk. We will be back in a few," Mrs. Wilson smiled and nodded, "Be careful." They started walking and got into a comfortable conversation. "So, your family seems cool." Trevor said. Lydia laughed out loud and he loved that laugh. "Lily couldn't keep her hands off you in the water earlier. I did warn you though. Aunt Kayla is pretty cool. How did you and Simon get along?" Trevor looked at her and stopped grabbed her hand, "Are you jealous of your cousin?" Lydia turned her head and he saw that she was blushing again, "Maybe a little, she is pretty and out spoken." Trevor squeezed her hand and said, "You are the only girl I like and the only girl that has been on my mind for the past few weeks." He reached and touched her cheek. Her eyes widen at his admission. He felt her body tense up a bit at the touch but he leaned down and to his surprise was met half way and he finally kissed her. It was everything he dreamed of it being, sweet, innocent and new. Trevor didn't take it much further than a sweet kiss, even though he wanted to but he had a feeling that this was her first kiss. Trevor wanted to take things slow for her, until she was comfortable doing more. Lydia looked up at him after they broke the kiss and smiled a goofy looking smile at him. "I like you too" "Would you want to be my date for homecoming?" He asked. Lydia nodded a little too eagerly and that made him smile. Trevor took her hand and they walked a little more then decided to make their way back to the picnic table to get ready to leave. They all went their separate ways and Lydia waved to her Aunt and Uncle as they left headed back to Tennessee. Lydia got in the car and they drove back. Her parents were following close behind and they made it to the house at the same time. Trevor got out of the car and grabbed the bags and waited for Lydia to come around from the driver side. They walked to the front porch and Trevor dropped their bags and waited while her parents disappeared inside before he grabbed her around the waist and pulled her into a hug, "Thank you for inviting me, I had really good time." Lydia squeezed him around the waist and then stepped back to look at him "Your welcome, I'm glad you came too." She stood on her tip toes and quickly gave him a kiss and told him to call her later. Trevor grabbed his bag and said "Of course, beautiful." Then he made his way home while smiling the whole way. He thought that he couldn’t get any luckier than he was at that moment. He finally had the girl that he couldn’t take his mind off since she got to school. It was still early in the evening so when he got home he decided to hang out with Michael and Davis
