Saturday morning came up quickly, Friday didn’t seem like it happened at all. Lydia woke up Friday and started doing her school work that she was behind on since she wasn’t in school on Thursday due to going to the doctor. Now, it’s Saturday which we were meeting up with the rest of the family at the lake for our annual get together. They had the get together at other places that the family chose. This year it was her family’s turn to host. She was a nervous wreck because Trevor was coming with us. Since, they were growing closer by the day since he helped her at school and everything. Lydia’s crush grew bigger and so did her nerves. This will be the first time that Trevor would see her in a bathing suit. She blushed just thinking of that. Lydia withdrew from her thoughts and went downstairs to grab something to eat since lunch wasn’t until 1 and it was only 7 in the morning.
“Good morning,” she said her parents’ who was sitting at the table chatting about the day’s events. They both turned towards her and her mom said “Good morning, sweetie. How’d you sleep?” “I slept well,” she replied while grabbing milk out of the fridge for a bowl of cereal. Mr. Wilson asked, “Are you ready for the picnic?” Lydia grabbed her bowl and sat at the table with them and said, “Yeah, I’m pretty excited to see some of the cousins and introduce Trevor to some of them.” Her dad nodded and asked, “How is Trevor? Are you two dating or just friends?” Lydia nearly choked her cereal and finally looked up at her dad and said, “We are just friends for now. But I do like him. I know we haven’t been here long maybe a month. But he is super nice and respectful. Do you guys like him?” Lydia’s mom and dad gave each other a look like they were communicating telepathically. Mrs. Wilson said, “Honey, we like Trevor a lot. We just want you to be happy. I know you’re young and never had a boyfriend before. I just want you to be careful.” Lydia blushed a little and nodded her head.
She finished her breakfast and went upstairs and took a shower, to make sure she shaved for the lake. She got out and but her favorite lotion on that smelled like flowers and dried her hair. With a towel wrapped around her she went back to her room to put her bathing suit on and a wrap dressed that was white and some red sandals. Lydia wasn’t worried about makeup today since she was going swimming anyway. That made her a little more nervous because Trevor hasn’t seen her without it before. She pulled her hair into a high pony tail and rushed downstairs it was around noon and she was waiting for Trevor to meet her at the house. She texted him last night saying it would be nice to ride there together. Trevor said sure and that he would be at her house at noon. As soon she got to the living room to wait there was a knock at the door. She ran to the door to answer it. She peek through the peep hole to make sure it was Trevor and it was, so she opened it and was taken back how cute he was in a pair light blue board shorts and tight white shirt that hugged his muscles. Yes, she knew she was ogling his muscles but who would blame him, he was stacked. All those practicing and games and workouts were doing him good. She finally let him in. Trevor looked at her like he couldn’t find words. Then finally he said, “You look beautiful without your make up on too. You should wear less of it.” He reached up and barely touch her cheek. Lydia couldn’t help to blush and turn slightly away at that. “Thank you,” she managed to say. “Are you ready to head out? My parents are already there setting things up,” she said as she grabbed her beach bag that had some extra towels and sunning lotion in there. Trevor said, “Sure. Here let me grab that bag for you.” “Such a gentleman,” she teased. As they were heading out to the car, she nearly tripped over herself because she wasn’t paying no attention. She was always so clumsy. Trevor noticed at the same time and grabbed her hand to steady her. She liked holding his hand. They got to the car and he opened up the door for her. “Thank you. You are definitely going to spoil me,” she said with a light blush. Trevor just smiled and shut the door and opened the truck to put her bag in and went to the driver seat. “You are very welcome.” Trevor said and then started the car and headed to the lake. They sat in a comfortable silence the whole way. They got to the lake and finally found her parents along with some aunt and uncles. He pulled into a parking spot and jumped and opened the trunk to grab the bag out and then opened her door for her. They strolled beside each other, then Lydia turned towards him and said, “This is most of my family and you meet some cousins mine and some of them can be little forward especially Lily. She is 15 and she is very pretty but she likes to throw herself at guys so I just wanted to give you a warning. Then there is her brother Simon he is about you age. I think you guys will hit off. He likes sports but never played.” She said. Trevor laughed and said, “Don’t worry about me, I make friends with just about everyone I meet.” “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Are you ready?” She asked him. Trevor nodded and they walked on ahead again.
