1187 Words
As Trevor lay in bed after coming home from Lydia’s, he couldn’t help thinking about her, how she smiles and it brightens up her eyes. He couldn’t believe she said she enjoys hanging out with me. Trevor was in total shock. He was really beginning to like her. Trevor was hoping that with him helping her with her books to class every day until her cast came off that they would grow closer and eventually get up the nerve to ask her to the homecoming dance. With all these thought going through his head it was hard for him to fall asleep that night. Morning came early, Trevor got up and took a quick shower and dressed in a pair of jeans and a tight blue shirt. He grabbed his gym bag and went downstairs to grab something to eat. “Lydia I will be there in a just a few minutes. Meet me outside.” Trevor texted her as he was headed out the door and yelled back to Davis, “Hey, get a ride to school with Michael.” Davis yelled back, “Alright, where you got to be so early this morning?” Trevor replied back, “Picking up Lydia.” Then he was out the door and in his car. On the drive to her house he finished his breakfast and stopped by a local coffee shop to pick up two to go coffees. He finally made it to her house and blew the horn. Trevor looked up and notice that she was looking through her bedroom window and held out a finger, indicating to hold on just a minute. He waited for her to come down while he listened to the radio. Trevor was distracted by the music that he did realize that she had come outside and was waiting by her door. He got out and ran to her side and opened the door for her. But before he could open it he was paralyzed to the spot. She looked absolutely stunning. She had her hair braided to one side, slight makeup, and wearing the prettiest red dress and white tights. Trevor was speechless, red wasn’t his favorite color but now he thinks that red is now his favorite color. “Trevor, are you going to open the door for me any time soon? We will be late for school.” Lydia said. Trevor looked at her and smiled, “Of course, it’s just you look beautiful. I was speechless.” He saw her turn as red as her dress. “Thank you. And you don’t look to bad yourself.” Lydia said. Trevor laughed a little and opened her door for her. She got in after she handed her bag to him to take to put it in the back for her. As he came back around and got in to head to school, he thinking he was the luckiest guy ever to be friends with a gorgeous girl. When they got to the school Trevor got both of their bags and opened the door for Lydia to get out. “Such a gentleman.” She teased. Trevor teased back, “I was raised right.” He winked at her. Lydia laughed and started walking with him inside the school. Trevor asked, “How did you sleep last night?” Lydia replied, “I slept decently, I took my pain medication and it help with that but it’s kind of hard to sleep with this thing on.” Trevor grimaced, “Ah, I can imagine. I hate that you are uncomfortable. When did the doctor say when they could get it off?” Lydia said, “I think it was in a few weeks. I think I can manage a few weeks with this with the help of a nice looking gentleman.” Trevor notice that she was flirting with him, he decided to play along. “And who is this nice looking gentleman. I may have to meet him one day.” He teased with a smirk. Lydia giggled and it was the cutest thing in the world. Lydia said, “Well, he may not be incline for a meeting. You see he is a busy fella with being the star quarterback and all. But then again you may already know him.” Trevor laughed and put his hand on the small of her back as he led her to her first class. “It does seem like we have a couple things in common then, huh?” he said. Trevor like this cute and carefree flirty side of Lydia. He wish that side would come out more often. Even though they only knew each other for a week, it seemed so much longer that. “Would you like to go to your locker before you head into class?” he asked. Lydia shook her head and said, “No, that is OK, I got all my stuff in my book bag. But thanks though.” Trevor nodded and walked her to their first period class. After each class he waited for her to get out and walk her to her next even if he was late for his own class. He didn’t care as long as she was comfortable. It was a long day with going to her classes and his classes and now he had to go to football practice but before he went he made sure she had a ride home and didn’t need anything from him. “Lydia will you be OK getting home? I have practice today and it’s going to run a little late tonight.” He asked worriedly. She texted back, “Yes, Samantha is giving me a ride home and I appreciate you looking out for me. You go and enjoy your practice and text me when you get home.” Trevor smiled to himself and texted back, “Sure. You enjoy  the rest of your day with homework and relaxing.” With that he just headed to the guys locker room to change into his practice gear. He finally made it home and decided to jump into the shower and then come down to eat dinner. It smelled like Trevor’s mom was cooking roast beef. One of Trevor’s favorite. “Hi, I just made it home about to jump into the shower. How has you evening been going?” Trevor texted Lydia. Lydia replied with a sleepy emoji. “Thanks for today, I hope it wasn't too much on you with helping me and all.” She texted back. Trevor got into the shower and then replied back and said, “It is always my pleasure to help you out. I will text later about to get my pjs on and head downstairs to eat dinner.” Lydia said, “Sure.” With that he went to his room to grab some lounge pants and a t-shirt and went downstairs to eat dinner with his family.
