Chapter 15 Trevor

1080 Words
It’s been a little over a month now since Lydia and I went to Homecoming and we’ve been getting closer than ever. We been hanging out after my practices and home games, we would either go to her house or mine. Yeah, I finally let her meet my mom. She absolutely loved Lydia, who wouldn’t. Now it is getting close to Halloween and the school host it’s annual Halloween dance. Lydia and I are at the lake laying out, just enjoying nature and I turned towards her and asked “Would you like to go to the Halloween dance?” “I’ve been thinking of that and yes I would love to. How about we dress up as a famous historical couple? What about Cleopatra and Marc Antony?” Trevor smiled at her enthusiasm and kissed her nose. “That sounds prefect. We still have about a little over a week before, so we better get busy on finding outfits and everything.” Lydia squealed and leaped in his arms, knocking him back on his back and wrapped his arms around her. Trevor smiled and looked up into her beautiful honey colored eyes, “I love you.” He thought that it was too soon but he couldn’t help it coming out his mouth. Lydia was looking at him in shock. He didn’t know if she would say it back or not, either way he would wait for her. Lydia kissed him and said, “I love you to.” They stayed in each other’s arms and kissed for awhile until it was getting dark and he noticed her shiver a little, “Alright, Beautiful it’s time to go. It’s getting chillier.”   He dropped her at home and waited for her to go inside and then he left and headed home himself. When he reached his house and noticed the front porch light was on, ‘Guess Mom waited up for me.’ He thought to himself and smiled. He went inside and noticed that his mom was on the couch fast asleep. He laughed a little at that and took a shawl off the rack and pulled it over her. Trevor went upstairs and seen that the light was still on in his brothers room. He lightly knocked on the door and let himself in. “What’s up, Davis? It’s kinda late to be up, playing the game console isn’t it? Did you see mom? She fell asleep on the couch again.” Davis looked up for a second and shrugged at his brother. “I know it’s late but it’s Saturday. I know Mom seems more tired lately I don’t know what’s going on with her.” Trevor did seem to notice that too. Maybe she had gotten a second job other than teaching at the Elementary School. I am sure dealing with kids all day could tire a person out but it more than that. He just hopes that she will get better soon. “What are your plans tomorrow?” Davis replied, “I’m not sure. Michael said something playing basketball over at the community center with some guys. Want to come?”    Trevor woke up with his phone stuck to his face. He thought, ‘I must have fallen asleep, talking to Lydia. Maybe she won’t be to mad at me.’ He grabs his phone and rubs his face and seen that he had a message. He looked at and smiled. “Good morning, my handsome. I’m sorry we fell asleep on each other. But I love falling asleep with your voice in my ear. I’ve grown addicted to it. I love you. Have fun with the boys today. I may come up and watch. (winking emoji)” Trevor replied, “Good Morning, My Beautiful, yes it has become my addiction as well. And how did you know about us playing with other boys today? Are you physic? And I would be delighted for you come and watch. I love you.” He got up went to take a quick shower and got dressed in his gym clothes and tennis shoes. “Davis, what time are we planning on meeting Michael down at the community center?” He asked while coming in the kitchen. Davis turned and said, “Well, aren’t ready? He said about 10:00. So, you have about an hour left. So, go ahead and eat up. Mom made eggs and bacon.” Trevor looked around. “Where is mom anyway?” while getting a plate and sitting down. “She went out to do some errands and to the store.” Trevor nodded; he knew it was Sunday but there were still some places open that she could be going to. He finished eating and him and Davis left to head to play ball with the boys and Michael. He pulled up and saw that Lydia was talking some guy by the courts. He didn’t see Michael anywhere yet. But it was little early. He texted Lydia before they left to let her know that they were all meeting at the court around 10. He got out of the car and noticed that the guy that was talking to his girlfriend touched her hand. He was seeing red. He stormed over there, “What is going on over here,” while pulling Lydia to his side. The guy looked between me and Lydia and smiled. “I was just introducing myself. I’m Kevin Langdon. I’m new just moved in a couple days ago across the tracks. I seen this beautiful girl here all alone and wanted to come talk to her so she wouldn’t feel so lonely.” Lydia looked up at Trevor and smiled, “He has only been nice. Calm down. Plus, I was just saying that I have a boyfriend.” She reached up and kissed me on my cheek and my temper calmed down a little.  But she did look quite beautiful today, in a red legging and a light white sweater and flats. “Are you waiting on Sam or you coming to watch by yourself?” “I asked Sam but she is busy watching her cousin at the moment. I won’t stay long I have a job interview shortly at the nearby café. I know it’s a Sunday but they told me to come in after the lunch rush and talk to the manager, since Sundays is her only days, she comes in.” Trevor smiled and hugged up tightly and walked her to sit at the benches. Michael finally came and the game started. We played a couple games and after the first one I seen Lydia off to her interview. I hope she gets it.
