30 The streets were quiet and Ralph glanced at the digital readout on his dashboard. Almost one o’clock in the morning. Thank God he didn’t have work later on. Work. He allowed himself a chuckle. Work was never going to be the same again. The next time the office opened, a lot of people wouldn’t be there. They would be ‘otherwise indisposed’. He had to smile at that, his own little attempt at humour. He’d decided to leave the other bastard tied up in the house. He’d gone out to look for him and soon found him and he’d had another go, but Ralph had bettered him, dumped him with ease this time. A bull Ralph thought he had been, but he was a stuck-pig.
