"Are you mad at me?" Liam asked quietly, his fingers glowing as he used magic to rewrap my clothes. There was tenderness in his touch, but also a careful distance.
I chuckled, brushing a lock of hair behind my ear and trying to hide how badly I still wanted him. “Mad at you?” I gave him a teasing smile. “Liam, I’m still horny and breathless, but I’m not mad.”
His eyes narrowed, but the corner of his lips twitched.
"I'm actually grateful,” I added more softly. “You always put me first. Even before your own needs. And for that… Thank you. You gave me space to think about what I really want, not just what my body’s screaming for.”
