Episode Eight

I woke up in bed confused, I take in my surroundings and realize I am at home. Not just that but in bed with my night clothes on, I do not remember putting them on. Not only that how did I get home and was that really Sébastien, he saved my life. If he had not left his car at the restaurant I hate to think of what would have happened. How can I thank him? I know how I want to thank him, but that is wishful thinking on my part. He doesn't seem to be the type to leave a woman in need. And this one is extremely lucky. It must be early because even my parents are not up. I headed to the rest room to get ready for they day. My mother will be surprised that I am up before them. if I can get ready fast enough maybe I can get breakfast started and give my mother a break this morning. After finishing up in the bathroom I make my way to the kitchen to start breakfast. I get the coffee started and then on to breakfast. I fix french toast, eggs, bacon, and hash hashbrowns. I guess it smells really good because my parents come into the kitchen with smiles on their faces. My mother says, baby you worked late last night why did you wake up so early. There's noway I will
tell them about what happen last night so I just say I wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you baby but you don't have to thank us we are your parents and we love you my mother says. My dad says yeah sweetheart but we will eat none the same. My mother looks at my dad and he smiles and say we'll I'm hungry. We all start to laugh. After breakfast with her parents Lexie makes her way upstairs to get ready for the day. When she reaches her bedroom her phone rings. She looks at the caller ID and see that it's Laurie. Hi, how are you and how is my God son. She laughs and says he is so much better it's like he wasn't sick at all. I laugh, that's a good thing. I'll be back to work today I know you will glad of that. Speaking of work I've got so much to tell you. Ooh is it juicy. Yeah it's juicy alright and some of it is down right scary. We've got a lot to catch up on you want to meet before work. Okay where did you have in mind she asked. Not at the restaurant I don't want my parents to find out about it yet, at least for awhile. is it that serious Lex should I be worried. No I'm fine just some events took place that is so unlikely that even my head keeps spinning. She was quite for a minute, then she said oh yesterday was his day, oh and he was at my section. She giggled and said how was it, did you at least talk to him or just stare like a wounded dog. I know you Lex, did he say anything to you. He is an excellent tipper. I know he tips very good I got a whole hundred dollar bill. Laurie screams what the hell. I have been working there for a long time I have never and I mean never gotten a hundred dollar for a tip. He must like you. I don't know Laurie I've got to tell you all the events of the day. I have been missing you so much. Me too, you already know that Jack misses you too. He loves you and your parents so much. I don't think I could have made it without you. I love you girl. Me too. So do you know where you want to meet. Well truth is if you want you could bring Jack over we can talk and there's plenty of things he can get into. Where is he by the way, oh he's in his room I didn't tell him I was calling you or you know he would be in here, but I figured I need along time to catch up with my one and only besty. I laugh, ok it's a date we'll order pizza for Jack since it's his favorite, and take the time to talk. Sounds good to me what time you want me to come, come around 1 o'clock. That's not to early is it. No that's fine she responds. Ok I'll see you then, love you girl. You too. We both hang up at the same time. After I'm off the phone I think back to the horrible night I had, that turned into a good night to because I was saved by that handsome man.
