Travis
“Go home Elizabeth.” Her eyes search my face. I try hiding my emotions. But i’m sure she can sense it. It hurts to say the words. It hurts more knowing how unhappy she was here. And it was my fault. I wasn’t being a good mate to her.
She pulls our hands off her but I grip to her fingers. “I..all it took. You’re not even.. Fine. I’ll leave.” She scoff.
Her tone said she heard me wrong. She wasn’t listening to our connection. There’s a reason why mates have a bond. So we stay more connect to each other. Even when we are apart. I know when she’s upset, angry or in trouble. Her pain will be my pain.
“Tell her before she lets us go. Before we lose her.” Malcolm rose high to his feet.
“I know you are home sick. And I haven’t been a good mate. I miss the signs. I heard the way you spoke to your mom the other day. You were sad.”
“Travis it wasn’t..”
“No listen baby.” Squeezing her hand. “Tomorrow I’ll take you home. Spend some time with them. I can’t be the reason for your unhappiness. So go be happy.” I made a promise and I need to keep it.
She smiles to me. Her eyes tear up and I wipe away a tear. “I will pack for my things. You can keep the stuff you bought me.”
Again she was not understanding. “Baby. They’re yours. This isn’t a break up.”
She tilt her head in such a cute angle. “But you said.” Stumbling her words.
“I know what I said you dull witch.” She scowl at me hard. “I will take you home to spend time with your love ones. But I will return to bring you back to me. I would not give up on such a beauty that Goddess has given me. Even if she is stubborn as a donkey.” Goddess knows our mate is stubborn ass hell.
“Can we leave in the morning. I want to spend all day with them.” Her mood begin to cheer up.
“No.” Frowning at us. “You have school. I’ll drop you off and pick you up after. Then. You can go to your parents. You’ll have up until the weekend with them if you choice.” I will not let her miss school. It was almost over. She’s too smart to skip class.
Her eyes lit up from my remark. I felt my heart jump from a spark of bond. Knowing I understood this witch’s need. She jumps into ours arms and I catch her quick. She kisses us deeply. Thanking us over and over again.
Catching my breath from her sweetness. I cup her face. “Now tell me. Are you really not hungry for dessert?”
You see a small innocent curl into her face. “It depends. What were we gonna have?”
Running my thumb along her lips. She pretend to bite my thumb. Chuckling at her cuteness. Or was that a playfulness? Or a tease? Either way. “We were gonna have a slice of peanut butter frozen pie. It’s quite good.”
She bite down on her lips. I fought the eager need to grab them, demanding her to stop unless she wants me to kiss her until they’re numb and red all around. “If there’s any left I’ll still love a slice.” She says.
I tuck her hair behind her ears. Seeing her full face. “I’ll have two brought up to our room then.” I kiss her head softly with depth. And taking her back to our room to enjoy the rest of the night before she leaves.
Mason had drove him and Elizabeth to school together the next morning. Malcolm argue that he wanted to take her. But we had an early phone call we couldn’t miss. So we had to settle for a ‘see you later’ kiss. With Malcolm yaking in my ear. I promise her that we will be there to pick her up. We’ll greet her parents and then I shall let her have her time with them. I hate how long it took me to know what she needed.
“Relax man. We’re new at this.”
“I f*****g suck at relationships.” Which is why I don’t do them.
“She our mate. It’s different.”
“And I still suck. I didn’t even know how home sick she was. We should of known. What good was this bond if I couldn’t tell what our mate needed the most at the time.” I hate how such a failure I was starting out to be. No wonder she pushes me away.
“Our bond isn’t fully at state right now. We have to be mark. We only get the bare minimum.”
“Sure Malcolm. Whatever you say.” He continues to try to boost my mood. But it doesn’t work. I was failing.
I just can’t get out my head about it. But i’m gonna do better. Because I can’t let her go. I needed..No I want her to want to be with us too. It’s just the beginning.
I waited out in the car until she came running towards us. She hops in and kisses us deeply. Wrapping herself around us. She was so cherry to be going home. It felt like the right decision was made. Even if it pains me. She went on to tell me everything she has plans to do once she’s back. Everything she been missing since the move. She just needed to be with them again. Just like it was before we had came into her life and change everything.
“My mom is even making a feast for tonight. Her homemade casserole is to die for. Oh God I haven’t had her casserole in so long.” She settles back into the car. She ranted on and on about everything she miss. Even with her voice going up from her excitement. I felt bad for taking her away. She was happy before we came along.
Coming up to the home, I park up to the front. Unlocking the doors and walking to the opposite side to open it up for her. She continues to rant on about things she missed and can’t wait to do them. Things she wanted to talk to them about. I grab her backpack for her. Throwing it over my shoulder. When we reach the door. She grabs my hand before I reach up to knock.
“You don’t need to. I still have my key. And besides. They’re expecting us.” Pulling out her key she unlock the door.
She shouted to announce our arrival. Soon enough both her parents came to greet us. They were so happy to see us. Both of them.
“Welcome. Welcome.” Her mom says.
“Hi mom. Hi dad.” Elizabeth hugs and kisses them.
I gave her mom a hug while I went for a hand shake with her dad. Her dad instantly push my hand and brought us in an embrace. “You’re family Travis. We hug. Alright.”
“Yes sir.” I nod oddly. I only ever hug Mason. And it was only rare. Father said hugging was for women.
The house smelled so good from her mom’s cooking. Malcolm damn near drooling everywhere. Our belly growls at the incredible scent. Looking at the dinning table. It was more than what we expected. There were dishes covering the placemats. It felt like it was thanksgiving in here.
“Everyone sit down and eat. Please.” Her mom demanded.
Everyone took their seats. Her parents sat right across from us. Everyone pass dishes around until they were pleased with what was place on their own plates.
“So tell me. Hows everything going in the love nest?”
“Ohh dear leave them. No parent wants to hear about their child’s relationship once they moved in together.” He raise an eyebrow at me. Telling me he didn’t want to hear anything inappropriate.
“I’m not asking about that. I just want to know if they’re happy.” She says.
“Of course they’re happy. We haven’t heard anything but good since Travis took Elizabeth off our hands.” Her mom gasp with a soft chuckle.
“Well thanks dad. I didn’t know I was just a burden.”
We all giggle at his remark. Both parents claiming they love her no matter where she live. Saying we are always welcome to come and stay at anytime we are please. Seeing Elizabeth smile. I knew that meant a lot to her.
“Well to answer your other question madam mom. Yes. Things have been going very swell. I thank Goddess every day for blessing me with your amazing Elizabeth. Even if she does get hangry most days.”
Elizabeth slaps my shoulder hard. “I do not. Besides it was one time and I just got busy studying for a big test.”
“You almost took my finger.”
“I told you to move!” She whispered. We share a smile as she apologies over again. Truth be told I should of moved.
“Well dear you do get hangry often. You get it from your mom.” Now his wife hits him.
“Hangry is not a real word. You men! Just made it up to make us! Women seem more crazy than what you caveman already do.” She says.
“Ohh what I would do if I didn’t have you to take care of me.” He says as he takes both her hands with his.
“You’ll starve with filth surrounding this whole house.” He kisses her palm. And she went in for a kiss on his lips. Sharing a ‘I love you’ to each other.
I lean into Elizabeth. Putting my hand on her inner thigh. I felt her warmth. She clenches her thighs together. Keeping my hand in place. “Soon this will be us. You are ours Elizabeth.” Her eyes widen as her cheeks turn bright red.
“Hands on the table.” She gulps to me.
“You will have to release my hand first.” Turning more red she spreads her thighs and pushes my hand away.
We all continue our dinner. Keeping up the talk. Laugh, tears, smiles, frowns, and more was spread in the air. We spend the whole dinner sharing everything that has happen the last week. Both Elizabeth and I went to tell them how the pack was. I had even invited them to one day come over for a visit. Elizabeth try to argue. Instructing me that I didn’t had to do such a thing just because of her. But I wasn’t really. I did it because I wanted to. They’re good people. And for once I knew what Mason has been telling me when it came to giving others a try. Not everyone had a bad motive towards me. I guess I just wasn’t use to it. Everyone always wanted something. Being a young Alpha, you get use a lot. So trust didn’t come easy.
After we had all finish. Elizabeth and I offer to clear the table and clean up the mess. Thanking them for a wonderful meal. Her mom arguing that we didn’t need to. But Elizabeth insisted. Then her mom offer to help while US men go sit and talk. But I insisted to help my mate while her parents go off and relax in their home. Both shared a smile. Her dad whisper a “good luck getting out the dishes after this.”
I appreciate his gentle warning. But I can only wish to continue having times like these. I would be more than happy to do dishes every night with her. Any chance we can get to have her. It’s all worth it. And by this feeling inside. It comes off of her. A flutter abrupt when we make eye contact.
We spend some time getting everything all nice and clean. Her mom really does go all out for a feast. We couldn’t even finish all the meals. We packed the left overs that fill the fridge. Elizabeth hasn’t been home in a week. Imagine a month.
“Hell. I’m ready to come every week if it means food like this every time.”
“You and I both Malcolm.”
Elizabeth went off to wiping down the table, countertops, and swapping the floors. I started washing and putting away all the dishes. Which was not easy. There was just so many dishes everywhere. The kitchen was a mess with stuff. And with everything on the table now in the kitchen. There were piles of them needing to be clean. I took my time as to enjoy this moment with her.
It didn’t take long before she finish her task. She came by and offer to help me. Switching places. She begins to scrub down the dirty plates. Once she has rinse the soapy sups. She hands me the wet plates. I use a dry towel to dry them off and put them away to their proper place.
“How are you this guy?” She asked. I gave her a confuse look. “I never thought you be a family man. Little long my family.”
“Am I family now?” I smirk at her.
She splash water at me. “With everything I have heard about you over the years. I thought meeting you would be a whole lot different.”
“You know Mason never stop talking about you. It almost felt like I knew you all this time.” She turns to me. With the faucet still on.
“How the hell are you this guy Travis? You’re suppose to be an Alpha asshole with rolls of p***y chasing you. How are you this sweet wolf Alpha who puts everyone before him. Who cares about others.” She wiggle her wet, soapy finger at my face. “Is this some kind of trick?”
I lean toward her. Inches away from her face. With a little soap on my finger I poke her nose. “What do you mean little witch?”
“Why are you doing this?” She asked me. I thought it was basic. I looked blankly at her. “Why do you come here doing stuff, saying stuff and making me fall for us more. Like this can be a thing. Making me believe that we can have this kind of life. This isn’t real.”
“You are my mate Elizabeth.” I’ll do anything for her.
“Is this your doing or the bond? Because I can’t tell where mine land off. But I like it. I like this kind of Travis that I learn to meet. And my...” She chuckles a little. Her eyes rom the room. “My parents seem to like you from the begin. And they are my world. They came first. And I know the pack comes first to you no matter what.”
“Elizabeth the pack..” I try talking but she was in the middle of a speech.
“Travis this is Moon Goddess’s doing and all. And I still don’t understand it. Everything has always gone wrong. But I can’t help my feelings for you when you do stuff like this.”
“This is nothing.” I haven’t done anything big.
“It’s not nothing. You’re gonna have to stop because I can’t walk away when it’s time to..”
I close our space. Looking in her craving delightful eyes. “You are what’s becoming my first priority. I will do anything for you. And I may get things wrong at times. I just ask for you to not give up on me. On us.” I just want to do better by her. Since we had met. Things has been better. Felt better. Because of her.
“I don’t know if the world is being cruel. All this can be a test. And by next month you will meet your she wolf. Because i’m not the one. You should just give up and find her.”
I shock my head. “We are trying. Each day we will try. We can’t know unless we try. And besides you are way better than any she wolf I met”
“That’s the bond talking.” She said with that sass of her’s.
“No. It’s me.” I caress her cheek. Smiling goofily at her. “Now tell us again how much you like us. And we will never stop making you confuse my little witch. Until time you will. You’ll question whether it’s your heart or mind. Yet both is telling you to stay with us forever. Because this will be forever. Our forever.”
She blushes so hard she couldn’t even look at us. With my fingers still gracing her jaw I turn her head back to us. In seconds she closes our space. Throwing both her wet hands on our face as she kisses us. Parting our mouth. She darts her tongue inside. I welcome her. Malcolm howls in the air as he feels our connection getting stronger with her. As I pull her in more by the waist. She let out for air.
After we finish all the piles of dishes. We join her parents in the living room. Spending the remainder of our time doing family like stuff. It was nice. I never done things like this before. Her parents were very nice people. They never once made me feel left out or judge. And their relationship was very k****e. I only wish to have something like that with their daughter.
I knew if mother had never gone out that day. She would still be here. She kept my childhood intact. I was still young at the time. And she was the one who would of enjoy these type of things. She the one whom always tried to end the day happy. Playing a board game or sneaking an extra dessert before bedtime. But after her death. All of it stop. Father was the opposite kind of parent then mother.
“And when he brought that w***e!”
“Yes I remember Malcolm.”
She always tried to replace mother. I was nice because father told me to. And you never wanted to be on father’s bad side. At some point I just let her believe I like her. All when I just wanted to be anywhere but near them two. It was hard to see them together when father should only be with mother. And now all this has brought back a old spot for me. I felt like a kid for a moment. Elizabeth notice my mood changing. Asking if I was enjoying myself. I gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and reply with a yes.
At this moment we all sat on the couch cuddle up in separate blankets. Elizabeth lay back between my legs. I had one hand comb through her hair as she seems to enjoy it. While the other relax on the arm rest. Once the movie had finish it seem time for everyone to head off to bed. I peak outside as I didn’t notice the sun going down. Mason hasn’t call but just a text to check in. And that was hours ago.
“Well thank you for having me. Or us.” I laugh nervously.
“No thank you for coming. We love having you both.” Her mom said delightfully.
“It does feel better to have another guy around.” Says her dad.
“Ha. I understand sir.” I gave both her parents a hug. As Elizabeth did too.
I grab Elizabeth’s hand, kissing it. “Goodnight Elizabeth. When you are ready, I’ll come pick you up.”
“Okay.” She pulls us down for a kiss.
Her dad’s voice broke our kiss short as we say our goodbyes. “I thought you be staying over as well?”
We both made an appalled look. “No sir.”
“Why not?” Elizabeth ask. I turn to face her. I had thought she wanted to spend her time here alone, away from me.
“Stay. At least the night. It’s far too late to drive.” Her mom insisting.
“Go on. Head to Elizabeth’s room.” Her dad adds.
Elizabeth squeezes my hand. Agreeing with them. Telling me it’s late and if anything happens Mason will always call. I cave from her begging eyes. I even try argue about staying on the couch to respect their home. But they plead for me to stay with their daughter since we are living together anyways.
Heading off to bed. We all say our goodnights. Her mom blows a kiss with her palm before heading to her room. Her dad stays at the door frame. Watching as his daughter prepare her bed for her and her mate to sleep in.
“Just no funny business you two. Stay just the two of you for little. Pups as you call them will never let you have your peace. Even for sex.” Elizabeth shrieks at her dad to stop and go off to bed. I know he speaks more to me than his daughter.
“I have to keep a pillow between us. Your daughter won’t keep her hands to herself.” I joke.
“Stop the both you!” Elizabeth stomps her feet and throws a small pillow at me. She wasn’t amuse from her dad and I’s jokes.
Once her father had left. We climb in to bed. I got in with just my underwear. While Elizabeth puts on a silk dress that makes Malcolm go wild for. I demanded her to come to bed. I grace her side. Making me fight my urges as my finger taps just the bottom of her breast
“Thank you boys. Today was perfect. Even better that you’re staying.” Snugging up to my chest.
I feel the sparks run through my body. “Of course. Now we wouldn’t have to struggle to sleep.”
She lay down into bed. Pulling the blanket more on her. “Will you hold me?” She asked.
I get these critter like feelings when she asked. I smile so stupidly and say yes. Wrapping my arms around her. She grabs into us. Making sure we don’t let go. And we fall sleeping with her nicely tuck in our arms.
