We fell in behind Allador as he floated through the tunnels. There was no need for the lights that were built into our masks as he lit up the whole area.
As we were about to enter another open area, Allador stopped.
“Okay. Thank you, Allador,” Daniel said. “We’ll have a look and see if we can stop this thing.”
Allador inclined his head.
As we walked forward, it was like stepping into a room where someone had switched on a destabiliser.
I hesitated. “Daniel? Can you feel that?”
He turned to me. “Yes. The destabilisers must work by emitting an electromagnetic field.”
It wasn’t as strong as a destabiliser when it was up close and directed at me, but it was definitely the same sort of sensation.
