“Look, over there,” Rain murmurs pointing out the plane’s window. The island resort was still in the distance but from up in the sky it was easy it to make it out amongst the blue ocean waters and the white sandy beach. Rain leans towards Karey to see better, engulfing herself in the familiar scent that she’d desperately missed.
“See, one of those cottages extending out into the ocean will be ours,” she excitedly whispers. The nearer they approached the island the harder it became for Rain to contain her excitement.
