Lucas's POV
It wasn't much time after leaving the Red Moon Pack that I received word from Bethany. It was f*****g painful just like always but worth it just to hear that my mate was alive. When she told me I fell to my knees and wept with relief. Erin was doing her jumping thing as best she could as a wolf and I mind linked our inner circle so that they could breathe a sigh of relief too.
However this battle was far from over and I only had bare the bare minimum information on what we were walking in to. Bethany had kept her update brief, the last thing she wanted was to weaken me when we were heading into a fight. I was so desperate to see April it hurt but I took a little more time, now that I knew she wasn't in immediate danger, so that I could prepare and get everything right.
