The Orphaned Alaph

It has been 8 years for Bella. Her full name is Isabella Jean Waterson. She will become the next Alpha of the Midnight Moon Pack in a weeks time. She misses her parents dearly, and she wishes that she knew what happened to them on that fateful night, but she has no choose to stay strong and continue on without them. {Bella's P.O.V.}     I was laying on my bed, It's Saturday and their is no work to be done. I have been up to my neck in pack work for the last couple of weeks and was finally able to catch up on everything. When my parents passed I inherited our family business, and the pack. Which when I am ready I will take over completely. In a weeks time I will become the true Alpha of the pack until I find my mate, if I find my mate. I was day dreaming while playing video games, when i heard a knock on my door.     "Come in."  I said.      It was Jake my best friend, he has been threw it all with me, and he will become my Beta when I take the title of Alpha. His family took me in and loved me like I was their own. His mom or Auntie May as i call her, was my moms best friend, and his dad Uncle Ronnie was like my father and was extra protective of me. I loved them dearly and thank them all the time for loving me when I felt unlovable.      "What ya doing?"  he asked as his gaze landed on the TV.       "What! Your playing video games with out me!!" He crossed his arms. I laughed at him and threw his controller at him. I am so thankful to have him in my life.      He looked at me after I beat him for the tenth time. "So don't be mad at me."  I     I looked at him confused, "What's up?"     "Mom is planning a HUGE birthday party for you with all the surrounding packs to attend."     "UGHH!!   I exclaimed, pouting and rolling over to my back glaring at the ceiling.      "Sorry Bella! You know I can't control my Mom." He said rolling his eyes.     "I know , I just told her it was not needed. I know I can't control  Auntie May." We sat in silence for a moment. My mind was drifting all over the place about everything that will be happening in just a weeks time. I't was snowing outside, and Mavie who is my Wolf is howling to go for a run.      "Hey Jake wanna go for a run?"     " Yes!"  He exclaimed!     We walked down the hall and down the stairs, running into nanny Lilly.      "Good afternoon to you soon to be Alpha and Beta." She bowed her head in respect.     "Miss Lilly, you know that you do not have to call me Alpha. We are family you cared for me when everything first happened and  I love you for that. Please just call me Bella." I said with a smile and hugged her. She placed a small kiss on my head, and let us go on our way.      We got outside and my attention was drawn to the sky. I looked at it as large snowflakes where falling. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. I loved the way the air smells here. It smells like fresh pine trees and rain water. I could here the creek babbling in the distance which lead to the lake that was within the pack land. In the distance there is a clearance which is where the lake is and the beautiful snow covered mountains, showing there reflection in the lake. Jake cleared his throat pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at him.  "Are you ready?"  he asked. I just nodded at him.      We walked to the edge of the forest, and quickly shifted. I could hear Zeus ,Jake's wolf howl letting me know he was ready to go. Mavie let out a howl as well and Zeus hopped over to me. Mavie just shook her head. Zeus was a large grey and black wolf with white paws and a white patch around his right eye. I have always been jealous of Zeus. Mavie was an all white wolf with one small line of black on her side. Jake always called it a lighting strike, that is what he says it looks like.  I got in a ready to run stance, and Jake followed my lead. Mavie let out three small howls and we were off. We were jumping and dodging trees and bushes. I was right on Zeus's heal. He let out a playful howl and took off. I took off full speed chasing him and then passing him. I giggled, Jake hates it when I am winning. Sometime I think he lets me win. We made it to our tree house, right next to a stream. I bent down and took a drink, Zeus was soon next to me doing the same. I went behind the huge tree and shifted back into my human form. I put on the extra clothing that we keep here just in case.      A few moments late Jake came out from behind the tree, and I laughed at him. His hair was all over the place and one piece was sticking straight up. He licked his hand and pressed it in top of his head making all his hair lay flat.      "Hey, you wanna go shopping with me tomorrow so I can get a new tux?"     "Of course, you know your mom is going to want me to wear a dress anyways."     We both busted out laughing. We both know I HATE dress's. I'd rather wear dress pants and some wedges, but i know Auntie May would not let that fly this time. We made some small talk for awhile. I asked him if he knew what the colors where and he told me it was white and gold. So we figure that we would get a color pop dress and we would see what options they had for him when we got their. we made a plan to leave for the mall right after breakfast tomorrow. We agreed that it was time to head back to the pack house. It was starting to get cold even for us, so one by one we went behind the tree and stripped down and shifted putting our stuff back for next time. We ran back quickly both sprinting out of the forest. Zeus won by a milla second and Mavie was upset. I told her that he will pay for that another day , and that we both needed food. She agreed. Before we shifted back I looked at the sky one more time and a huge snowflake landed on my snout. I licked it off, even the snow taste great here. We walked back into the woods and shifted back.      After walking back into the house we both ran to the fireplace. Even though we are werewolf's we can still get chilled. Auntie May was barking orders at people and we both couldn't help but laugh. We both know all to well how she gets when party planning is underway. We walked into the dinning area to see a huge mess on the long oak table.      "Umm, Auntie May what is all this?" I asked while already halfway knowing the answer. Everything was gold and white.     "Well silly, it's for your party! You know how i get when I plan parties. I just want to make sure everything is perfect. Would you like to help me pick the center pieces?"  She says.     "Sure I like this one the best." I pointed to the simple center piece that had baby breaths, white roses and a small piece of a pine tree branch. It was cute and simple just like me. She smiled and nodded her head.      "Dinner will be ready in just over an hour, both of you go clean yourself up." We both nodded and went upstairs.      We could smell the food from upstairs and both of our mouths started to water, which meant only one thing, dinner was done. Before Auntie May could yell for the whole pack house to come and eat we were both downstairs waiting impatiently for everyone else. After everyone was seated Auntie May got everyone's attention.       "As you all know our Alpha Bella will becoming of age next week , and we will be having a party for her here. I will be inviting neighboring packs to this event. As soon as she is ready as well , she will be able to claim her true title as Alpha of this pack. While it is rightfully hers in a weeks time we will not rush to have her ceremony. When she is ready we will do that as well. She will take on the lead and start to take over as soon as she turns eight-teen. Does anyone here have an issue with that?"     "No, Mrs. Beta" They all said together.      "Very well. Her birthday bash will be a black tie event and I expect everyone to dress properly." They all nodded and with that we all started eating. After dinner I went up to my room, and took a hot shower. I threw my hair up in a towel and quickly got into my favorite pair of pajama's. I looked at the last family picture that was taken before my parents passed. I looked at it and started to talk to it. I know if anyone walked in right now they would think that I was crazy, but I did not care. I missed them, a lot.      "Mom, dad. I am sure you already know what Auntie May has in store for me this week. I am not looking forward to this. You know how much I love to wear dress's. I miss you guys. I want to make you guys proud. Not only of me now but also when I become Alpha. I don not know if I can do all this without you guys. I do not want to mess this up. The pack seems to be on my side and super supportive of any decisions I make. They see how well I am doing with the business and they know I will lead them to greatness. I am just scared and I do not know what to do. I pray to the Moon Goddess that she will bless with someone that is stronger then I am. I love you both so much."       A small tear ran down my cheek I quickly wiped it away. I crawled into bed facing the huge window in my room. I seen that it was snowing again, all of a sudden I seen a bright light coming from my window. I crawled out of bed, grabbing my blanket as well. I wrapped it around my body and sat on the window sill. It was the moon peaking threw the dark night sky.      "Moon goddess I hope you know what you are doing. I hope that I am as blessed as my parents were with their love and affection that they had for each other." I rested my head on the wall and closed my eyes, as soon as I did darkness overcame me, and I was out for the count.
