This child is so stupid. She doesn't even realize the truth. My job is only to find everyone's weakness, then report back to my master.
'Have you found their weaknesses yet?' I heard my master ask me in my mind.
'The Beta Female's is most likely her daughter, Juliet. I haven't found anyone else's. It might take more time than we thought. I don't think it's possible to find enough information before they realize where the boy is.' I explained to the master.
'Alright, I'll alter the plans enough to do so. We'll wait until they try to come to rescue the boy. After that, we'll strike.' He said in my head before closing the connection.
Rowena
We finally made it to the park. I was panting from the amount of walking we did. "Rowena, what's wrong?" Seth asked me. "I'll be fine. I just have wolfsbane from when I was with my old pack. So, that much walking took a bit of a toll on me." I explained as I sat down. "Seff, help me swing," Juliet called from the swing sets. "Go ahead. I'll rest a bit; then we can start." I told him. Then he went over to Juliet and lifted her, placing her on the swing and gently pushing her. "Whee!" She said before giggling uncontrollably. After a few minutes, she asked to get off before running off to the slides after being placed back onto the ground. By then, I had managed to catch my breath, and Seth came over to me.
He sat down beside me and began talking while we were watching the small girl. "Where do you want me to start?" He asked me. "Do you know where Beau's parents are?" I asked him. He was silent for a bit. "I don't know myself. By the time I joined the pack, they were gone." He told me. "Oh, then just start wherever. Tell me what you do know." I said softly. "Well, Beau allows both men and women to train to be able to battle. Not just men. Every once in a while, we do pack runs. It's where the whole pack runs together with the Alpha and Luna leading. It's great." He started. He explained all that he knew. He told me that he had only arrived shortly after I but that he spoke to fellow pack members about the pack. He is quite outgoing when compared to me. Then again, Growing up, I was taught to never speak unless told to. After being there for a couple of hours, he got Juliet, and we had a little picnic. Afterward, we headed back home with little Juliet on my hip fast asleep.
When we returned her to her mother, her father came to the door and gave us both $15. "What's this for?" I asked him in confusion. "I know you didn't watch her for money but, this is a thank you. She has more energy than any of us, including her brother." He told me. "Oh, speaking of which, I was wondering who her brother was. I haven't met everyone in the pack yet, so I don't know." I said, remembering that I hadn't met her brother yet. His eyes widened a bit about that. "Well, his name is Michael, and he is your age, Rowena. Maybe sometime when you aren't busy, you can come over and meet him." Beta Shayne told me, and I smiled. "Sure, I'll talk to my parents. I'd love to meet him." I said. "Well, for now, go on home. I'm sure your parents want you home." He said, and I nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir. I'll come back sometime and let you know what they say." I wave to both of them and heading back to the packhouse.
