Rowena
The next morning, I woke up to the most delicious smell ever. I got up, grabbed my clothes for the day, and took a quick 10 minutes shower. When I got out, I brushed my wet hair, leaving it down and headed downstairs to see what the smell is. As I'm walking down, I hear the sounds of dishes clanking together. I soon found myself in the kitchen, where the scent is the strongest, and there are at least eight kids around my age sitting at the table, eating breakfast. "Hi, Rowena. Are you hungry?" I heard Aria say from behind me. I tilted my head back to look at her, making her look upside down, "Yes, what did you make?" I asked her. "Come over here and take a look." She said with a smile.
I turned around and walked over to the stove to look.. There were pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, butter bread, hash browns, biscuits, and gravy. "All this looks amazing, Aria. I don't even know where to start." I said as I grabbed a plate and looked over the food again, trying to decide what I want. In the end, I settled with two pancakes, two pieces sausage, two strips bacon, and a hash brown. I talked to some of the kids after I sat down, but it didn't last long because they had to go to school. I sighed loudly when they all left.
Beau walked in whenever I sighed, and he walked over and hugged me. "What's wrong, Row?" He asked. "It's boring," I said softly. He chuckled when I said that. "Have you checked in with Shaun yet?" He asked me. I looked at him funny. "I just woke up. I'm going to eat before heading to the infirmary." I said. "I'm taking that as a no." He said with a smile, and I nodded. I quickly ate my breakfast, then headed over to the infirmary.
When I got to the infirmary, Shaun was already there waiting for me. "Hey, Shaun," I said as I walked over to him. "Hey, Rowena. You ready for your daily checkup?" He asked me. "Let's just get this over with," I said in annoyance. Of course, I'm not ready for it. He has to stick me with a needle and draw blood. Why would I be prepared for that? I sat down in the chair across for him, putting my right arm on the desk, and he took my blood. He put it in a weird machine and waited for the results. It took several minutes, and as we were waiting, a pack member walked in, holding his side.
Shaun rushed over to the man's side when we smelled blood. "What happened?" He asked. "Patrolling the border on the north side and Jerrod thought it would be funny to push me. I kind of fell down the small cliff, and a jagged rock hit my side." The man said. Shaun sighed and shook his head as he ordered the wolf to take his shirt off so he could check the wound. The man wasn't too bad looking. But, he was entirely out of my age range. He had bright red hair, green eyes and was about 5'8" with a four pack. He looked to be around 20 years in age. "Have a seat, Ramsley, and I'll bandage that up right quick," Shaun told him, and he gave another sigh.
After Ramsley was bandaged up and sent on his way, the machine made a weird sound. Shaun stepped over to it and looked at the paper that came out of the printer part of the device. "Well, the wolfsbane isn't out yet. You still have to be careful." Shaun told me, and this time it was my turn to sigh. "I can't wait until it's all out of my system," I said. "What will you do once it is?" He asked me. "Ask Beau to train me," I told him in a severe tone, and he just nodded.
