The next morning they departed back home, and Vincent dropped off Eva at her apartment first, but they were met with an eerie silence, an unsettling feeling creeping in as they noticed mysterious notes taped to her door.
Vincent: (his voice tinged with concern) "Eva, what are these?"
Eva: (her eyes wide with fear, her voice barely a whisper) "I... I don't know."
They cautiously opened the notes, their hearts sinking as they read the chilling words. Threats of violence and harm leapt off the page, filling the once-safe space with a sense of foreboding.
Eva: (her hands trembling, her voice filled with shock) "Who would do this?"
Vincent: (anger and protectiveness mixing in his tone) "We need to report this to the authorities. I won't let anyone hurt you."
Eva: (nodding, her voice small and fearful) "Okay."
As they made their way to the police station, the weight of the threats hung heavy in the air between them. Eva couldn't shake the feeling that her past was catching up to her, her newfound sense of security now shattered.
Eva: (thinking to herself, her mind racing with fear) "What if it's him? What if he's found me?"
As Vincent placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, Eva leaned into his touch, grateful for his unwavering support.
Eva: (frightened) "I don't know who would do this. Why are they targeting me?"
Vincent: (protective) "Don't worry, I'll keep you safe. I won't let anything happen to you."
Despite Vincent's assurances, the threats continued, and became more frequent causing Eva’s fear to grow. One night, she returned home to find her apartment ransacked, and she knew her life was in danger.
Eva: (panicked) "Someone was here! They were looking for me!"
She called the police and Vincent, who rushed to her side. They searched the apartment, but the intruders had fled. Vincent held Eva close, vowing to protect her at all costs.
Eva trembled as she held the latest threatening letter, her heart pounding with fear. Vincent noticed her distress and gently took the letter from her hands.
Vincent: (his voice filled with concern) "This is getting out of hand. I think it would be safer if you moved in with me. I can protect you better that way."
Eva: (unsure, her voice barely above a whisper) "Are you sure about this? I don't want to impose..."
Vincent: (reassuringly) "Of course, I'm sure. Your safety is my priority."
Eva looked around the spacious, tastefully decorated house, her eyes wide with wonder. She felt out of place but was reassured by Vincent's warm smile.
Vincent: (introducing Eva to his staff, his voice filled with pride) "Everyone, this is FL. She'll be staying with us for a while."
As they settled into a routine, Eva and Vincent grew closer. He reduced his working hours to spend more time at home with her, and they shared many heartfelt moments together.
Eva: (whispering) "Thank you for making me feel safe."
Vincent: (embracing her gently) "I'll always be here for you."
With each passing day, Eva's admiration for Vincent deepened. She saw a new side of him – kind, thoughtful, and determined to bring her joy.
Eva: (marveling at the beautiful surprise picnic Vincent arranged) "This is amazing! You didn't have to go through all this trouble..."
Vincent: (smiling warmly) "Your happiness means the world to me. I want to make all your dreams come true."
Eva's heart swelled with gratitude, her life transformed by Vincent's kindness and love. Though danger still lurked outside, Eva felt safe and cherished in their shared home.
As their bond strengthened, Eva and Vincent found solace in each other, their shared moments a testament to the deep connection between them. But as the night fell, a sudden knock on the door echoed through the house, interrupting their peaceful evening.
Eva tensed, her gaze locked with Vincent's, fear creeping back into her eyes.
Eva: (whispering) "What if it's him?"
Vincent: (his voice steady and reassuring) "Don't worry. I'm here with you."
They approached the door together, Eva's hand trembling in Vincent's. He unlocked the door, and as it swung open, they found themselves face to face with a hooded figure standing in the shadows.
Hooded Figure: (in a gravelly voice) "I have information about the threats."
Eva: (her voice shaky) "Who are you?"
Vincent: (his protective instincts kicking in) "What do you know?"
As the figure took a step forward, his face still hidden, the tension in the air thickened.
Hooded Figure: (stepping into the light) "Let me in, and I'll tell you everything."
Eva and Vincent exchanged a worried glance. The safety they had found in their shared home was suddenly thrown into question, leaving them with an impossible choice: trust the mysterious stranger or risk remaining in the dark about the threats that loomed over their lives.
The hooded figure took a seat across from Eva and Vincent, the dim lighting casting ominous shadows on their faces. Eva's heart hammered in her chest as she anxiously waited for him to speak, her mind racing with a sense of foreboding.
Hooded Figure: (leaning forward, his voice low and urgent) "I have information regarding the threats you've been receiving."
Eva: (anxiety creeping into her voice) "Who are you?"
Hooded Figure: (pausing dramatically) "That's not important right now. What matters is that I know who's behind all this."
Vincent: (his voice steady, but concern etched on his face) "Go on. We're listening."
The stranger then began to unravel a chilling tale, years of secrets and lies spilling forth into the dimly lit room. Eva listened in horror as she realized the depths of her best friend's deceit.
Hooded Figure: (his voice filled with conviction) "It was your friend all along. She was the one who wanted you gone, so she could have your husband to herself."
Eva: (her voice barely a whisper, eyes wide with shock) "I can't believe it... How could she do this to me?"
Vincent reached out to comfort FL, taking her trembling hand in his as he addressed the stranger.
Vincent: (anger simmering beneath his words) "What do you mean by 'wanted her gone'?"
Hooded Figure: (leaning closer, his voice grave) "Her friend wants her out of the picture for good. She's convinced that with Eva out of the way, she can be with your husband forever."
Eva felt her world crumbling around her, her heart shattering into a million pieces as she struggled to process the devastating news.
Eva: (her voice breaking with emotion) "How could she be so cruel?"
Vincent: (his expression steely and determined) "We won't let her get away with this. I promise you, Eva."
As Vincent wrapped a comforting arm around Eva, the mysterious figure stood up, preparing to leave.
Hooded Figure: (his voice heavy with warning) "Be careful. She's more dangerous than you think."
Vincent: (determination in his eyes) "Thank you for the information. We'll be ready."
As the hooded figure disappeared into the night, Eva and Vincent were left with a newfound sense of urgency and resolve to confront the danger that lurked in the shadows.
Eva: (grinning angrily) I can’t just sit here and wait for them to come kill me…
Vincent: (With fear and concern) don’t do anything stupid, let the police do their job
Eva: (Frustrated and angry) I am tired of playing the victim all my life
Eva, ran into the kitchen, got a knife and ran out of the house angrily whispering to herself “I’m gonna kill all of you”, just before Vincent could stop her.
Will she do it?.... Kill them all and end her pain?
OR
Will Vincent Convince her otherwise?
