Eva sat on the cold ground, tears streaming down her face as she thought about the events that led her to this point. Her father's passing after her marriage had left her feeling alone in the world, and her husband's betrayal had shattered her heart.
Eva: (sobbing) "How did it all go so wrong?"
Lost in her sorrows, she didn't notice the car approaching until it was too late. The impact sent her flying, and everything went black.
Vincent Brown, a successful and wealthy businessman, had been on an important call when he struck the woman with his car. He rushed her to the hospital, where she remained unconscious for two days. When she finally awoke, he was at her bedside.
Vincent: (relieved) "You're awake! I've been so worried."
Eva: (dazed) "Where am I? What happened?"
Vincent: "You were in an accident. I'm so sorry, it was my fault."
Eva: my head hurts I don’t remember anything
Vincent: (in a calm concerned tone) you should go back to sleep I think you need more rest… I’ll go get the doctors.
Over the next few days, Vincent visited Eva often, drawn to her beauty and vulnerability. He learned about her troubled past, and his heart ached for her.
Vincent: "I can't believe what you've been through. You deserve so much better."
Eva: (grateful) "Thank you for listening. I don't know what I would have done without you."
Vincent: (In an assuring tone) you will be fine
Eva: Where are my manners, I still don’t know your name or anything about you, yet I’ve been Blabbing. . .
Vincent: (in a friendly tone) I don’t mind. . .What do you want to know?
Eva: for starters, your name and what you do.
Vincent: Well my name is Vincent Brown and I’m a business man.
Eva: I’m glad to officially meet you Sir Vincent.
Vincent: (Steering deep into her eyes, speaking calmly) just call me Vincent, no need for the professionalism.
Eva's hospital room slowly became a sanctuary, a safe haven from the turmoil of her marriage. Vincent's visits were a breath of fresh air, his presence a comforting constant amidst the chaos.
Vincent: (gently placing a bouquet of flowers on her bedside table) "How are you feeling today, Eva?"
Eva: (smiling softly, her eyes brightening at the sight of him) "Better now that you're here."
When Eva was discharged from the hospital, Vincent rented an apartment for Eva, filling it with beautiful furniture and everything she could need. He showered her with gifts and flowers, wanting to make her feel loved and appreciated.
Vincent: (smiling) "I hope you like it. I just want you to be happy."
Eva: (overwhelmed) "I can't believe you've done all this for me. No one has ever been so kind to me before."
As the days turned into weeks, their bond grew stronger, and their conversations flowed with an ease that surprised them both.
Vincent: (hesitant, yet hopeful) "FL, these past few weeks have been incredible. I know you're still healing, but... would you consider being my girlfriend?"
Eva: (her heart fluttering, but uncertainty clouding her features) "ML2, I appreciate everything you've done for me, but I'm still married..."
Vincent: (nodding, his voice understanding) "I know. I don't want to pressure you. Take your time to think about it."
Determined to show her how much she meant to him, Vincent planned a surprise vacation. Their three days were filled with a mix of excitement, romance, and adventure.
Vincent: (on day one, sharing a laugh as they exited the movie theater) "I hope that wasn't too scary for you!"
Eva: (playfully punching his arm) "I'll have you know I'm not afraid of anything... except spiders."
On day two, they walked hand in hand on the beach, the moonlight casting a romantic glow on the gentle waves.
Eva: (gazing out at the sea, her voice tinged with wonder) "It's so beautiful here."
Vincent: (smiling softly) "Not as beautiful as you."
The beach was a symphony of sights and sounds, the gentle waves creating a calming melody. As they gazed out at the azure waters, Vincent reached for his phone, his lips curling into a contented smile.
Eva: (curiously) "What are you doing?"
Vincent: (his voice filled with excitement) "I want to play you a song, one that always reminds me of the ocean, of calmness and serenity."
He pressed play, and the music filled the air, a soothing melody that spoke to their souls. Eva's eyes shone with recognition, a gentle smile gracing her features.
Eva: (softly, her voice carrying a hint of wonder) "This song... it's beautiful."
Vincent: (his expression mirroring the joy in his heart) "Just like you."
With a gentle hand, he pulled her into a slow dance, their movements in perfect synchronization with the waves that lapped at their feet. As the melody swelled, he began to sing,
Title: "Our Light"
Beneath the starlit sky
A gentle breeze whispers by
In your eyes, I find my home
No longer lost, I’m not alone
Chorus:
In your arms, I feel alive
Our love shines bright, a guiding light
Through every storm, our love survives
Forever together, we'll thrive..
As his voice echoed the lyrics with tenderness that spoke volumes of his affection, she couldn't stop smiling and feeling the warmth of his sincere feelings.
“You make me so happy” Eva said in a subtle way smiling effortlessly
They both smiled hugging each other. ———
Day three found them exploring the woods, the sounds of nature enveloping them in a peaceful embrace.
Vincent: (as they reached the peak, gazing out at the breathtaking view) "I wanted to show you this place because it reminds me of your strength. You've overcome so much."
On the last day, Vincent prepared a romantic dinner, his heart pounding in his chest as he mustered the courage to reveal his feelings.
Vincent: (taking her hand, his eyes filled with love) "Eva, I know our situation is complicated, but I can't imagine my life without you. Please, give me a chance."
Eva: (tears welling up in her eyes, her voice trembling) "Vincent, you have no idea how much I want to say yes, but I'm scared. Can we take things slow, stay friends for now?"
Vincent: (nodding, his voice understanding yet hopeful) "Of course. I'll be here for you, no matter what."
