We stopped at my house so we could change and collect our luggage before heading to the Airport. I am now dressed in a yellow halter top sundress with a tutu like skirt and white roses printed all over it. I matched it with some white wedge sandals that lace up my ankle stopping just below my calf. Jack is jow dresses in a matching button down short sleeves shirt and cargo shorts with white And One tennis shoes.
Our luggage is already packed and waiting for us by the door, thanks to our mothers who insisted on coming so we could get changed while they packed because "we have to get to the airport or we'll miss our flight". Even though our flight doesn't leave for another 4 hours. They insist we have to be early so we don't get caught up in security.
2 hours later:
Well, I'm glad our Moms made us come early. The guy at the metal detector made me take off my earrings and everything, I even had to take off my shoes even though they don't even have any metal in them. I didn't wear socks and had to be barefoot but he didn't care. And then he insisted on using his wand thing on both of us even though the metal detector didn't even go off.
We finally found the right exit for our plane and now we're just waiting to board. Our luggage is already checked in and I am told, will be on the plane before we are.
We're finally boarding. There's a strange woman who keeps asking the flight attendant where we're going to be sitting. She keeps telling the woman she doesn't know as we haven't gotten on the plane yet but she still KEEPS asking. How strange, I don't think I know her. She doesn't seem familiar to me at all, I wonder if Jack knows her.
Jack's Point of view:
We went home to change before our flight and now, dressed in matching outfits, we're ready to head to the airport. Our mothers were kind enough to pack for us while we changed and I'm thankful for that. Airport security can be a nightmare, it's always best to be early.
Just as I expected the security guard is being extra careful today. It's good to know we're safe at least. Good man. We have to check our luggage and then make our way to our boarding gate. It's pretty busy so it may take a while.
We're finally boarding the plane, fueling took longer than expected but now we will be on our way shortly. The lady in front of us seems to be making some sort of ruckus, Joanna seems to be getting annoyed with her. She seems familiar to me but I can't place where I know her. Maybe it's someone Joanna doesn't like, that would explain her sudden annoyance at the woman.
Finally we found our seats, I let Joanna have the window since it's her first time, not only on a plane but going out of the country as well. I want her to enjoy every moment of it.
Joanna's Point of view
Finally, the lady shut up and sat down. Geeze, what was her problem? Well, I refuse to let her ruin my vacation. This is a new experience for me, I've never traveled by plane before. Jack let me have the window, so I can see everything. I'm so excited, this is going to be fun!
1 hour later
We're passing over an ocean now, I don't know which one exactly, Geography was not my best subject in school. It's so pretty, kind of a mix between royal blue and sea green. I can see tiny little things flowing in and out of the water, I'm guessing it's Dolphins. There's so much of it, it seems as though we've seen nothing but the ocean for at least 20 minutes.
The Islands we just passed over look like tiny little hills. It's crazy how small it all looks from up here. I can't wait till we land though, it's starting to get a little boring.
3 hours later
Jack just woke me up, I didn't even realize I fell asleep. That's funny. They're serving the inflight meal and he wants to know if I'm hungry. I decided to order the chicken sandwich and some chips with a Dr Pepper. They're going to play Enchnted as the inflight movie since there are children on board. That's nice of them to entertain the little ones.
The Sandwhich isn't half bad for something cooked in an airplane kitchen. The soda came in a can, so it's fresh at least. The movie is quite interesting after all, it's about a woman who falls through a sott of portal thing and winds up in an alternate universe and she has to survive. Luckily she finds a kind stranger that helps her or that woman wouldn't have lasted very long, poor thing was far too innocent and sweet for that world she was thrust into.
The movie was about 2 hours long, I've been told we're getting close. We should be landing in about an hour.
Jack's Point of view:
Joanna is so cute when she's sleeping. She kind of snores like a person pretending to sleep, only she's not pretending. I chuckle a little to myself at the thought. I should probably wake her up though, the flight attendant is making her rounds for the inflight meal and I don't want Joanna to miss out on eating something, neither of has eaten much today.
"Joanna, honey. Wake up, baby." I coo softly to her. She wakes up with one final snort. "What is it?" she says groggily. I chuckle softly once "it's time for the inflight meal, I didn't want you to miss it."
"How long was I asleep?" She asks. "About 3 hours or so." I respond calmly.
"Hmm, I didn't even remember falling asleep." She replies.
We both end up ordering a Chicken Sandwhich as it's the only decent thing on the menu today. She gets chips and a Dr Pepper with hers and I opt for just a Pepsi with mine, they don't let you pick what chips you want, it's always plain Lays Potato chips and I prefer ones with flavor.
I decide to get some shut eye while the inflight movie is playing. It's some Disney movie for the kids. They always do that on flight like this, kids aren't meant to be cooped up so long so they give them something to do.
3 hours later:
I woke up just as the flight attendant was saying we're about to land. I can see on Joanna's face she's ready to go to our hotel and get some actual sleep. Or not, you never know what's going to happen, it is our honeymoon after all.
