Moving her

Gabriel rubbed the back of his neck before continuing. “Doc suggested we move the she-wolf to the hospital, stating she’s no physical threat to us. I can’t disagree with that after I visit with her. What do you think?” “Moving the she-wolf to the hospital would be the right thing to do,” Markus said, leaning back. “She’s not a threat to anyone and would be more comfortable there.” Thomas nodded in agreement. “It’s the humane thing to do. We can’t just leave her in a cell. It doesn’t seem to be helping her recovery. At the hospital, Doc could keep a closer eye on her.” Gabriel leaned forward, his piercing topaz eyes focused intently on the beta, Matthew. “What do you think, Matthew? You’re the one who was thinking of neutralizing her earlier on,” he asked. “Should we move her to the hospital?” Matthew stroked his chin thoughtfully. “Gabriel, I mean no disrespect. I just want us to be prepared for all possibilities. I wouldn’t pass it by Victor to use a she-wolf to spy on us for him.” He paused, sensing that Gabriel was getting impatient with him. His infatuation with the she-wolf might be quickly becoming a problem. He continued, “With what you and Thomas have said and given Doc’s recommendation, I believe it’s the best course of action, Gabriel. The dungeon is no place for someone who’s not an immediate threat to the pack. Plus, at the hospital, Doc will take better care of her. But…” Gabriel raised an eyebrow. “Care to share with the group what you’re thinking, Matthew?” Matthew pursed his lips in thought. “I just wonder about the safety of the pack. What if she is, in fact, a spy?” Gabriel nodded. “You won’t let this go? Let’s post a guard near her room?” He huffed in annoyance. Markus leaned back in his chair, his hands folded across his chest. He looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking. “That could be a suitable compromise. Moving her to the hospital is the best option. We can keep her safe and get her the care she needs. With additional guards, we could keep a closer eye on her.” Gabriel smiled, feeling relieved that they had all unanimously decided. “All right, then. We’ll make the arrangements. Thomas, I want you to oversee the move and assign Alex and Brian as her guards.” Thomas nodded in agreement. “Of course, Alpha. I’ll make sure everything goes smoothly.” ***** Thomas made his way to the dungeons. He was greeted by the sight of the guard Alex, who stood at attention as Thomas approached. The two exchanged a quick acknowledgment before Thomas handed over some papers. “Thank the Moon Goddess,” Alex said with a sigh. “I’ve been worried sick about that poor she-wolf.” Thomas continued. “Alpha Gabriel has requested that you stand guard outside her hospital room with Brian. We’re still trying to determine whether she’s a threat.” Alex nodded. “I’ll mind link Brian to meet us there.” He quickly got to the cell and approached the she-wolf cautiously, speaking in a soft and reassuring voice. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “I’m here to take you to the hospital, where you can receive the proper care. And also, it will be a much more comfortable environment for you to make a complete recovery.” The she-wolf looked up at him with fear and confusion, her eyes darting around the cell as if searching for a way out. Thomas could sense her apprehension, and he approached her slowly, giving her plenty of space to move. After awkward silence while walking to the hospital, Thomas cleared his throat and spoke. “So, do you remember anything yet?” The she-wolf shook her head. “No, I’m still trying to piece together everything. It’s like I’m living in a nightmare and can’t wake up.” Thomas nodded sympathetically. “I’m sure it’s tough, but we’re here to help you. The pack will do everything possible to make you feel safe and comfortable.” He saw Dr. Cassandra waiting for him as he approached the hospital portal. She gave him a nod as he came. “Gamma,” she greeted him. “I’m glad you’re here. We’re ready to settle in our new patient now.” She looked at the she-wolf and whispered. “Do you remember me from a couple of days ago? We met in the dungeons. My name is Dr. Cassandra. Today, I’d like to do a thorough check-up on you and, hopefully, help you regain your memories.” The she-wolf nodded and smiled at her. Thomas nodded, his mind still consumed with thoughts of the she-wolf. “Thank you, Doc. I’ll leave you two to it.” As he walked away, he couldn’t help but think about her. He wondered her name, where she came from, and who she was. He knew he had to find out, even if it meant going against the pack’s orders. He had to protect her, no matter what. Dr. Cassandra led the amnesiac she-wolf down the brightly lit corridor, the gleaming floors reflecting the overhead lights. “We’ll get you settled into your room now,” she said, turning to the she-wolf. “Is there anything you need or anything you’re worried about?” “This is your room,” Dr. Cassandra said, gesturing to the bed. “We have everything you need here, including a state-of-the-art entertainment system, so you can relax and take your mind off things if necessary.” The she-wolf looked around the room, taking in the tasteful artwork on the walls and the sleek design of the furniture. “It’s... beautiful, much better than the dungeons, that’s for sure,” she whispered. Dr. Cassandra smiled. “Yes, it is. And thank you. We designed everything with our patient’s comfort in mind. If there’s anything you need or anything that would make you more comfortable, let me know.” The she-wolf nodded, her eyes scanning the room once more. “Thank you,” she said. Doc was hesitant, but she told the she-wolf, “I’ll let you settle in. I need to check on some patients and my notes. But I’ll be back shortly to do a proper examination if that’s OK with you.” The shy she-wolf nodded. As she walked away, Dr. Cassandra couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness for the amnesiac she-wolf. She was hoping her physical examination would provide some answers.
