The White Witch returns

Eliza stepped through the portal, feeling the familiar tug of magic as she left her coven behind. She looked around her, taking in her cabin, and sighed deeply. It was good to be home. The recent events disturbed her: the prophecy, the hybrid’s survival, and her involvement in holding her captive. Knowing she could no longer keep quiet weighed heavily on her heart. After spending the night in her cabin, Eliza set out for the Blood Moon pack’s territory in the morning. She was ready to confront Alpha Victor. Eliza took a deep breath as she stepped out of her car and into the Blood Moon pack’s lands. The atmosphere crackled with energy. As she walked towards the pack’s house, a group of warriors met her. They were staring at her, their eyes suspicious. Eliza could sense their hostility and knew she would have to tread carefully. “State your business,” one warrior growled. Eliza took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. “I am here to speak with Alpha Victor,” she said. “It is urgent.” The warriors exchanged looks. They knew Alpha Victor wanted to see her, the White Witch that abandoned him after the she-wolf escaped. But they feared her well-being if Victor got his hands on her. “Alpha Victor is a busy man,” one warrior said. “He does not have time for visitors, especially not you.” He was hoping this would discourage the witch, and she would leave. Eliza felt a surge of anger, but she forced it down. “I assure you, he will want to meet with me.” The warriors exchanged another look, clearly still unsure. “Wait one moment while we announce you to Alpha Victor,” one of them said. She nodded, relieved. The warriors escorted her inside the pack’s house and into a waiting room. It was a simple space, with a few chairs and a table in the center. Eliza sat down and tried to calm her nerves. She had been preparing for this moment for weeks, but now that it was here, she felt overwhelmed. After some time, a pack member came to escort Eliza to Victor’s office. Alpha Victor sat behind his desk, looking at her with cold eyes. Eliza felt a shiver run down her spine but forced herself to remain calm. “You finally show up,” Victor spewed at her. Anger was rolling off of him with his Alpha aura. She took a deep breath, steadying herself before she spoke. “I demand answers,” she said, her voice shaking angrily. “Who was the prisoner? Who was she to you?” Victor’s expression darkened, and Eliza could sense the tension in the room. “You demand nothing, witch,” he growled, his eyes blazing with anger. “You left this pack without a word, and now you come back here demanding answers? Who do you think you are?” Eliza stood her ground. Her hands clenched into fists. “I think I’m someone who deserves to know the truth,” she said, her voice steady. “You and your pack have used and manipulated me for far too long. I won’t stand for it any longer.” Victor’s eyes narrowed, and Eliza could sense the danger in the room. But she refused to back down and continued speaking her truth. “I helped you keep that hybrid prisoner for years,” she said, her voice shaking with regret. “I helped you do something terrible, something unforgivable. And now, I demand to know who she was.” Victor’s expression was inquisitive. He looked Eliza up and down. He noticed a unique power in her. Could it be? Had she gone back to her coven? He had to tread carefully. He could not take her on if they replenished her powers. “The prisoner’s identity is of no concern to you,” he said, his voice low and quiet. “What she was to me was an asset, no more, no less.” Eliza felt a jolt run through her body and struggled to keep her composure. “You are lying,” she stated, her voice barely above a whisper. “I know about the prophecy,” Eliza said, shaking slightly. “I know that the hybrid she-wolf is powerful or will be when she comes into her full power. And I know you kept her prisoner to control her.” Victor’s eyes widened in surprise. “What prophecy?” he asked, his voice filled with shock. He knew the she-wolf had some lingering power, but what was the witch talking about? “That doesn’t matter,” Eliza said firmly. “What matters is that you need to let go of the idea of her. She is not yours. She never was, and she will never be.” Victor stepped closer to Eliza, his eyes locked onto hers. “And what makes you think I’ll do anything you say?” he asked, his voice low and dangerous. Eliza stood her ground, meeting Victor’s gaze with steely determination. “Because I’ve unlocked my magic, Victor,” she said, her voice rising in anger. “And I’m not afraid to use it.” Victor hesitated, his eyes flickering with uncertainty. For a moment, Eliza thought she had won. But then he straightened, his expression hardening once more. “You’re making a mistake, Eliza,” he said, his voice cold. “You do not know what you’re getting yourself into. But if you insist on interfering, I won’t hesitate to stop you. I won’t take responsibility for what happens next.” Eliza glared at Victor. Her fists clenched at her sides. “I won’t back down,” she said fiercely. “I’ll do whatever it takes to protect that hybrid she-wolf and make sure you pay for your crimes. You can count on it.” Eliza stood up from the chair she had been sitting on, facing Victor. Tension filled the room as both beings sensed the other’s power and were ready to fight if necessary. “Victor, you need to stand down,” Eliza said firmly. “This hybrid she-wolf is not yours. She has her destiny, and you cannot stand in her way.” Victor snarled, his eyes flashing with anger. “And what about you, witch?” He spat. “What is your role in all of this?” Eliza squared her shoulders, meeting his gaze with a steely determination. “My role is to protect the balance, Victor. To ensure that the prophecy is fulfilled. And if that means standing up to you, then so be it.” “I warned you, Victor,” she said, her voice low and dangerous. “Now it’s time for you to back off. This hybrid she-wolf will never be yours.” Eliza left Victor’s office. She rushed past the guards. She felt free, free like the wind. She had freed herself from Victor, at least for now. Eliza was not naïve. She knew there could be repercussions and consequences, but she would enjoy this moment of freedom. She left the pack, heading for her cabin. A thought passed through her mind, what if the she-wolf made it to the Moondance pack? Maybe they would take her as a prisoner, but their Alpha, Gabriel, was it? He was much more humane than Victor. Eliza made a plan to travel to the Moondance pack’s territory. She travelled first to her cabin to center herself. In the morning, she would travel to the Moondance pack’s lands to seek an audience with the Alpha of the Moondance Pack, Gabriel. She knew he had a good reputation and hoped he would listen to her. She settled herself for a good night’s sleep. She would need it. While Gabriel was supposedly more level-headed than Victor, she had not won the battle yet. He may not be forthcoming about having the hybrid, he may not have the hybrid, or he may not know that he has a hybrid on his land. As the sun rose, Eliza walked through the dense forest surrounding her cabin near the Moondance pack. The crisp air filled her lungs as she took in the sights and sounds of the surrounding wilderness. Taking a deep breath, Eliza approached the borders of the Moondance pack’s territory. She noticed a group of wolves watching her intently. Her nerves were on edge as she raised her hands in surrender, hoping they wouldn’t attack her.
