The Blood Moon Pack

The Blood Moon pack lands were organized around a central clearing where the pack house stood. It was a large, imposing structure, three stories tall and made of rough-hewn logs. The first floor contained the dining hall and gathering room. The second floor housed the pack leadership and their family. The third floor was for the Alpha and his family. A ring of small cabins surrounded the pack house, each one home to a different pack member or family. These cabins were modest but comfortable. Little shops were throughout to satisfy the pack members’ various needs and interests. Victor, alpha of the Blood Moon pack, stormed into his office and shut the door. His wolf, Fury, growled deep in his chest, mirroring his anger. Victor took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions before addressing his wolf. “Those trackers are useless. They couldn’t even find a damn she-wolf in their territory. My son is also useless. Where is he?” Victor seethed to his wolf Fury over mind link. Fury let out a low rumble. “They should be ashamed,” he growled over their mind link. “How could they let this happen?” “I don’t know,” Victor sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. “But we can’t afford to let this slide. We need to find her, and fast. She is too important to lose.” Fury agreed. “We’ll find her,” he said confidently. Our search for her will extend beyond our territory until she's found. We will bring her home. The plan will go as we wanted.” Victor’s eyes brightened at the prospect of catching the escaped she-wolf. “When we find her, we’ll ensure she doesn’t escape again. The witch had better be prepared to contain her. I will not accept losing her.” Fury’s eyes gleamed with savage glee. “Yes, we will get her back. Yes, we will proceed as planned when we do,” he growled. Victor leaned back in his chair, his thoughts racing. “But the question is, where could she have gone? How did she escape? Did the witch help her? Is everybody around me complete idiots incapable of basic tasks? Or are they working against me?” Fury considered the possibilities. “She could have had help,” he suggested. “Maybe from another pack. Or worse, maybe it was an insider's job?” Victor’s eyes widened with the possibility. “It better not be one of ours. But I wouldn’t put it past Moondance,” he spat, his voice dripping with venom. “They’ve always been a thorn in our side. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were the ones helping her.” Fury nodded in agreement. “It’s a possibility. We should keep a close eye on them. We won’t rest until we find her,” he vowed. Victor was an unforgiving figure. He ruled with an iron fist. He brooked no dissent and was quick to punish any who crossed him, sometimes too quickly. Losing his Luna caused him to lose his direction. His relationship with his son was challenging. Victor was reluctant to pass on the Alpha title to his son. Victor believed his son lacked the experience and temperament to lead the pack effectively. ***** William, the Alpha’s son of the Blood Moon pack, was taking a break from his usual duties and hanging out with a group of she-wolves in a secluded corner of the pack lands. The ambiance was sexy, with dim lighting and plush couches, and the she-wolves were giggling and sipping on drinks from the mini-bar. As William lounged on the couch, he noticed a group of she-wolves approaching him. They were all beautiful and well-endowed. He was notorious for his flirtatious nature and tendency to shirk his responsibilities. Alpha Victor’s son, William, was a young werewolf of 21 years old with a lean, muscular build, standing at an impressive 6’2” tall. He inherited his father’s piercing blue eyes and sharp features, usually set in a severe and determined expression. William’s raven black hair was kept short and neatly trimmed. “Hey there, William,” one of the she-wolves purred, running a hand through her long, flowing hair. “We heard you were the one to hang out with tonight.” William flashed his trademark charming smile and wiggled his eyebrows. “Well, I am certainly glad you ladies found me,” he said, sipping his drink. “What brings you to my humble abode tonight?” Suzy flashed him a sultry smile, her eyes flickering with a hint of danger. She leaned closer to him, her breath warm against his ear as she whispered, “We heard you throw the best parties, Alpha William.” She brushed her hand against his chest, sending shivers down his spine. William felt his heart race at her words, his body already responding to her touch. “Aww, you heard about my parties,” William replied, trying to keep his voice steady. “What else have you heard about me?” He asked, curious to know what they thought of him. He couldn’t deny the thrill he felt at their attention, and how they were touching him was sending his senses into overdrive. Aisha moved closer to him, her eyes full of mischief. “We’ve heard that you’re the life of the party,” she added, her hand trailing up and down his arm. “And that you know how to have a good time,” Aisha said, tracing circles on his thigh. William felt a flush spread across his cheeks, increasingly enticed by their words. Suzy took a step back, but her eyes never left his. “We just wanted to see if the rumours were true,” she said, a hint of seduction in her voice. “And it looks like they are.” William relaxed into their embrace, enjoying the temporary relief from his responsibilities and insecurities. The she-wolves got closer and closer to him, touching him sensually, whispering suggestive things in his ear. William responded eagerly, feeling a sense of power and control that he had never felt before. It was as if the world outside his quarters didn’t exist for a moment, and he was lost in a bubble of pure pleasure. “Oh girls, that feels so nice,” William let out in a whisper teasingly. That only helped to encourage them to get closer. William turned to face Aisha. Their eyes met, and they started kissing. At first, they were a little flirtatious and teasing kisses. But then Aisha bit his lip, demanding a more intimate kiss. William allowed her to take control. Patricia did not want to miss out on the action. She straddled William, which caught him by surprise. He overlooked his obligations and savoured the company of the she-wolves. But his father cut his fun short, screaming over the mind link. Alpha Victor’s voice boomed inside William’s head, “Where the hell are you? Come to my office immediately!” William’s mind raced as he tried to think of an excuse. “I’m on my way, Alpha.” “You had better have a good reason for not tracking that she-wolf prisoner!” Victor’s voice grew louder, his frustration clear. William could feel his father’s anger radiating through the mind link. He knew he had to tread carefully. “I’ll be right up.” Victor cut the mind link. ***** Victor was pacing around his office, clearly agitated. Fury could sense the anger emanating from his alpha while they waited for William and the leadership team. “I don’t know what to do about William,” Victor growled over the mind link. “He needs to take responsibility for his actions and the pack. And he needs a Luna to help him do that.” The Blood Moon team entered Victor's office. Victor sat at the head of the table, his sharp, steely blue eyes scanning each of his pack mates. The atmosphere in the room was tense; each pack leader seemed on edge, and everyone noticed William was missing. They were all acutely aware of the gravity of the situation at hand. The prisoner's escape was not just a matter of pride but also one of security. As they sat in silence, each lost in their thoughts. When William finally entered the room, he was out of breath, and he had been rushing. He sat at the table, his eyes darting around the room nervously. Victor fixed him with a withering glare. “Where were you?” he barked. “And why were you not tracking the prisoner?” William swallowed hard, his face turning red with shame. He knew he had let his father down, and the weight of that failure was heavy on his shoulders. “I was... out,” he stammered. “It wasn't until it was too late that I learned the prisoner had escaped. I’m sorry, Father. I know I’ve let you down.” Victor’s expression turned even more sour. “That’s Alpha Victor, William. You are not a kid anymore. Start acting like an adult.” “Your recklessness has cost us dearly,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “We can’t afford any more mistakes like this. I expect you to shape up and start acting like the future Alpha that you are.” Alpha Victor had concluded long ago that William needed a Luna to rule. Not any Luna. He needed her. But she was out of his reach. Did she survive? Did she make her way to one of their neighbouring rival packs? How could she have done that in this weather with no town or pack nearby and all the rogues in the woods?
