“This is impossible,” I heard Miguel’s complaint. I rechecked the dates again, and the CCTV footage was really gone. We went back to the convenience store, where we met Liam Montero, in hopes of getting any clues about what happened to Miguel, but the footage from the other day was missing.
The store staff member checked again and was confused himself. He scratched his head and looked at us, “Sorry, I don’t really know why, but the footage for that day is missing. I haven’t even checked this since last week…” He sounded nervous, thinking that he had messed up. It was good that we managed to convince him to show us the CCTV footage of the shop without actual authority to do so.
