Chapter 1 Marry her Dream
The night was calm yet mysterious.
A faint light shone through the bedroom window of the luxurious mansion.
Lucia Donne sat on the side of the bed, staring at the wedding certificate tossed on the nightstand. Her heart fluttered like a kite in the wind, unable to calm down.
Yes, she'd gotten married!
More accurately, it was a secret marriage.
There had been no wedding, no exchange of rings, no guests, no flowers, and she hadn't even seen the groom yet!
But she was still happy because the man she'd married was Mason Reynolds—the one she'd had a crush on since she was 16. He'd been in her heart for seven years and it had never changed!
Thinking of Mason, she couldn't help but sketch out his handsome features in her mind. He had a chiseled jawline, deep eyes, sexy lips, and a tall, model-like figure.
He was the hottest man in the world to her!
And this hot man was now her legal husband. Butterflies filled Lucia's stomach, and she giggled to herself.
While she was still immersed in her fantasies, the bedroom door was flung open. She glanced over reflexively and saw Mason standing there. Caught off-guard, she sat there, heart pounding.
"Oh, you're back," she said after a few seconds. She stood up and greeted her new husband. Her voice was both nervous and shy.
Mason flattened his lips. Instead of replying, he stared emotionlessly at her. His tall figure in the doorway loomed over her.
They'd met a few times, but this was the first time Mason had really looked at Lucia.
Without a doubt, she was very pretty. She was like a porcelain doll with pink-dusted cheeks, round eyes, and pink lips curved into a smile. She wore a modest nightgown, but it couldn't hide her figure.
Mason could admit that she was pretty, but she wasn't his type!
Faced with Mason's scrutiny, Lucia blushed in embarrassment.
"W-why are you staring at me?" She was so nervous that she stuttered.
"What else can I do on my wedding night, other than to bond with you as husband and wife?" Mason smirked and stepped towards her.
Lucia frowned at the mockery in his voice. Staring at the man who was closing in, she was so nervous that her palms became clammy and she had the urge to escape. She turned in defeat and walked toward the bathroom.
"You haven't showered yet. Let me—"
There was a pull on her wrist before she could walk away. A huge force threw her onto the bed!
"Ah!" she yelped when the ground slipped away under her. Her body slammed onto the bed, the world spinning. It felt like her intestines all shifted and her face twisted in pain.
Before she could recover, Mason's muscular frame pressed down against her. His anger wrapped around her, mixed in with the smell of alcohol.
The sudden intimacy scared her. In a panic, she tried to push away the man's chest.
"You—you're drunk! Let go of me!"
But Mason just smirked coldly. He grabbed both of Lucia's wrists in one hand and pinned them above her head.
"What? Didn't you do everything you could to marry me so you could do this with me?"
His seductive voice, tinged with sarcasm, rang in Lucia's ears. She looked up at Mason. The disgust and scorn in his cold eyes struck her like lightning.
She could practically hear her heart shatter.
"That's not true!" she denied, though even she wasn't convinced by herself.
"It's not?" Mason's eyes smoldered as he looked at her.
Lucia was so mesmerized. She stared helplessly as the handsome face got closer and closer to her. His hot breath sprayed against her face. Her mind went blank, and her heart pounded against her ribcage!
Just as his lips were about to press onto hers, she closed her eyes subconsciously. But instead of the kiss that she expected, what she got was more mockery.
"You want it so bad, hm?"
Hearing his voice, Lucia opened her eyes and met with Mason's ridicule. Her cheeks flushed, and she struggled, shoving at his shoulders in angry embarrassment.
"No, you're crazy! Get up! I can't breathe…"
Her struggling made her skin press against his, both hypersensitive to the touch.
Mason could feel Lucia's softness brushing against his chest as she breathed in and out. It stimulated all his senses, and heat pooled in his gut.
"f**k!" he swore inside.
He hated the feeling of being out of control. He quickly wiped away the lust and became cold and distant again. Without hesitation, he got up and let go of her.
"Listen, take your things and get the f**k out of my room. You're not allowed in again without my permission!" His voice seemed to keep everyone thousands of miles away from him.
Lucia pathetically climbed out of bed, but when she heard his order, she looked at him in shock. "I'm your wife. Why can't I enter your room?" she asked in confusion.
"Wife?" Mason c****d an eyebrow. "You're just a trophy I bought."
The insult hurt like a slap. Lucia paled.
Trophy?
He actually described her as a trophy?!
Bitterness spread from her heart. Lucia felt like she'd fallen from heaven to hell.
Was this why he insisted on a secret marriage?
"What are you waiting for? Get out!" Mason ordered cruelly when he saw that she wasn't moving.
His heartlessness stabbed Lucia in the chest, but she straightened up. She met his cold eyes with her own stubborn gaze. "No!" she declared.
However, she overestimated Mason's patience. Eyes flashing with a dangerous light, he roughly grabbed the collar of her nightgown and dragged her to the door. He tossed her out and slammed the door shut with a bang.
Lucia was so furious that she couldn't speak. Her chest hurt from the anger. While she tried to calm down, the bedroom door opened again and her luggage was tossed out!
"Bang!"
And the door was slammed shut again!
Lucia couldn't hold in her anger anymore.
"Asshole! Douchebag! Who do you think you are?! So what if you're hot? You think you can slam the door in my face just because you're hot? You think you can step all over me just because you're hot?!"
He was the biggest asshole she'd ever seen!
After cussing him out in her mind, she took a deep breath. She seemed to have calmed down. Finally, she pulled her suitcase over and opened the bedroom door on the side. She pushed the suitcase in and slammed the door shut, just like Mason.
"Mason, I'll make you regret this!"
