[Freyas POV] "FREYA! HURRY UP!" Ashleigh shouted at me from downstairs. She was ready to go but I was packing some last minute things, we were about to leave to go to my grandparents pack in Greenwich London for the summer. We love our pack, The Gold Moon Pack, of course but we just need a change for a bit, we have both just turned 20, we don't have mates yet and we live in the countryside where it is a bit boring. So I called my nan to see if she would ask her Alpha if we could stay there for the summer and he said yes, it does help that I've know Alpha Sam since I was a kid, But I haven't been to their pack in about 3 years because my grandparents have been coming here. My uncle comes along sometimes too but he is the Beta so he can't come everytime... "FREYA!" "Jeeez Ashleigh I'm coming! stop yelling!" Goddess that girl is loud, I zipped up my suitcase and made my way downstairs. "finally! I thought I was going to have to go up there and drag you down" Ashleigh said. "hey it's not my problem you are so impatient" I said while rolling my eyes at her. "You should have packed days ago like I did" "Nah you know I'm a leave it to the last minute kind of girl" I said and laughed at her while she huffed. "alright girls that's enough" My mum said coming to say goodbye to us. My dad and brother were here too, aswell as Ashleighs parents and our Alpha and Luna. My parents were the Betas, but it has recently been passed down to my brother Kyle, since I am the Betas daughter I don't really have any responsibilities so it was ok for me to leave. We were all hugging saying our goodbyes, mine and Ashleighs mums were getting teary eyed. "oh come on mum, it's only going to be a couple of months.. No need to cry" I said while hugging her tighter. "well not if you find your mate it won't" she said back. oh yeah.. I didn't really think about that part. I let my mum go because if I didn't we were going to be here all day, I turned to see Alpha James and Luna Zoe coming to give me a hug goodbye. They were only a bit older than us and we had all grown up together, James hugged me first. "Please be careful Frey, and if you have any problems don't hesitate to call me.. And if you find your mate and he's an asshole definitely call me. me and your brother will be down there so fast.." he was interrupted by a slap around the back of the head by Zoe and I burst out laughing. Zoe hugged me tight, well not too tight cause of her pregnant belly. "I wish I was coming with you girls, but you know.. I'm the stupid Luna" she said and I just couldn't help but laugh again. I pulled back and put my hand on her belly. "remember you're not aloud to come out until auntie Freya is back.. and if you're a girl they're going to call you Freya" I winked at Zoe and she just rolled her eyes at me making me laugh again. "Right come on Ashleigh let's go!" We jumped in my white Ford Ecosport and I started driving away, looking in the rear view mirror I could see our family waving at us. As we left the pack territory Ashleigh started cheering, poor girl this was her first time actually leaving this part of the country. "so tell me about The White Moon Pack then, the only thing I know is your mums parents were the Betas and now your uncle is the Beta... And that you have a crush on Alpha Sam" she said while wriggling her eyebrows at me and I rolled my eyes. "Well my uncle Owen isn't going to be the Beta much longer he's finally passing it down to my cousin Dean, he was waiting for him to find his mate but he hasn't yet soooo.. that's that, the Gammas are Scott and Emma, they're our age too and the rest of the pack members.. well its hard to say about all of them because there is about 300 but the ones i have met are super nice" "wow 300? there's like half of that at Gold Moon... So your cousin Dean.. is he hot?" "Eww! He's my cousin Ashleigh! you weirdo" she started laughing, but I didn't find it very funny. "oh come on its not weird" she said while still laughing. "well I mean he's not ugly I guess" I said while giving her the side eye. "Ok fair enough.. So what about Alpha Sam? Who did you say he looked like again?" "you know Wi Ha Joon? The detective from Squid Game?" "Ooh yes, damn he's hot" she said while fanning herself. "so he's Korean?" she asked. "Well half Korean, his mum is from South Korea. She came here on holiday with her friends and they went to a club and Sams dad was there with his friends too. They literally bumped into eachother and boom realised they were mates, he went back to Korea with her to help her move here and that was it" "wow that's amazing, but imagine if she never came here? They would have never met then" she said " Ashleigh, the Moon Goddess knows what she's doing. She probably wouldn't have made them mates if they weren't going to cross paths and some point" I couldn't help but think about meeting my mate, most wolves meet their mates when they turn 18. Most of my friends have met their mates already and I can't help but feel a bit jealous. I want to know the feeling of having a mate, having someone who was meant for you, who would love you with all their heart. I let out a sigh, Ashleigh looked over at me. "Sooo.." she started "what if Sam is your mate?" I tensed up a little bit and then let out another sigh. "He's an Alpha, their mates are usually Alphas daughters. If I am his mate he might reject me" she gasped and smacked my arm. "ow?" I laughed at her "Freya, just because you are not an Alphas daughter doesn't mean he'll reject you dummy! I know a couple of Alphas have rejected their mates because they are not "powerful" enough to be a Luna but it's very rare.. so don't think like that and you've known Sam most of your life from what you've told me he seems like a decent guy so if you were his mate do you actually think he would reject you?" she asked. "well I guess not.. but you never know really do you? and besides i don't even know if hes met his mate yet. He's a couple years older than us, last time I was there I was 17 and he was 20. So he might have already found his mate by now " I said. "Well he'd be stupid to reject you even if you were an omega, cause girl you are drop dead gorgeous" she said snapping her fingers. I love Ashleigh so much, she never fails to make me laugh or make me feel better. We were completely different when it came to appearances, Ashleigh is 5'1'' and curvy with chocolate brown hair down to her mid back, the brightest green eyes and freckles across her nose and cheeks and I'm 5'7'' with a pretty fit body because I liked to train with the men in the morning at our pack, I have long platinum blonde hair down to my waist that I usually just keep up in a high ponytail, I have light hazel eyes. I don't have freckles but I have two beauty spots, one on the top left of my lip and one on the bottom right. my mum always said it meant I was twice as beautiful and it always made me laugh. "uuggh how much longer have we got til we get here?"Ashleigh whined. "well we've been driving for about an hour and a half so we've got about an hour and 45 minutes left to go" She turned the music up and we sang as loud as we could and were having the time of our lives.
