CHAPTER 10

SANHIA POV

We both got to the apartment and luckily the guard wasn’t easy to persuade, so we get in and checked things inside, upon getting in, I noticed something Odd in this apartment.

We head our way to the room of Susan the woman said to have committed suicide, inside seems really something wrong, when I look at Ms. Bernards I was a little stunned seeing that hilarious woman beside her, she wasn’t just a mere ghost, she seems like a monster or something mystical creature that is roaming around here.

She doesn’t seem to see me or noticed that I am seeing her but she is very busy following Ms. Bernards until we found the crumpled paper with the exact sketch of what she looks like.

I was actually stunned by the sketch, not because of her hilarious looks but the idea that Susan was actually or may be possessed by this creature.

Damn! I guess I am kind of answering this puzzle; I need to have a background check on Susan while she was working in BCC.

I dialled the HR department to know what I should know.

“Hello, this is Ms. Almoral of SGC; I just want to further check on this specific employee Susan De Mesa,” I said.

“Yes ma’am, wait for a minute please,” she said then hang me.

After a few minutes the HR return.

“Ma’am sorry for the wait, So Ms. Susan De Mesa was hired 4 years ago with her husband, she is an engineer here and Mr. De Mesa is an electric engineer, but in two years later he resigned for a better offer of other company” she explains that enlighten me at some area.

After explaining this to Ms. Bernards I was stunned by her sudden reaction.

“I guess I know what has been going on here,” she said and I can sense that she up to something that is not right, I smell trouble honestly!

“Whatever it is do not do something stupid Ms. Bernards, it isn’t on our hands anymore,” I said and try to stop her but she is so stubborn! Damn!

She still continues going to the elevator and was left me hanging, I try to calm myself or anytime soon I will surely hit that woman in the face to wake her in reality that she is trying to mess up!

The company will be doomed once this thing let out in the wrong way!

I was in the middle of my thoughts when I heard her seem to whine or in some kind of pain so I run towards the elevator and I was shocked at what I saw on her back.

That monster woman is actually above her back that makes it difficult for her to stand up; she was almost pressed down to the floor of the elevator.

“H-Hey…. I can't take it anymore!” she shouts while struggling

“You monster, you don’t know what I can do, you will get off her or you will be melted in the air!” I said and was about to hold her but she just disappears that freed Ms. Bernards.

After that event, I thought she will finally do the right thing but she wasn’t and still plan to pursue what she wants

 “I do understand your concern, but I can't stand anymore not doing a thing to a situation that I know I can still do something, I didn’t even do anything to save my mom, now that I know I can do more who needs my help, I would do so, it isn’t my usual and I don’t know if I will do this again so just let me do it Sanhia”

I try to stop her as I could but she got me I guess with those words of her! And she just drives away to meet Mr. De Mesa

I am now thinking of what should I do, If I to decide, I wouldn’t care actually but I can't disappoint Mr. Sebastian so I must follow her though I don’t know where exactly the husband is.

I have no choice but to seek the help of Jhonny to locate him.

“Hey, I need your help, I know it is kind of late now but I need you to find someone for me,” I said

“Hmmmmm I can help you with that but what will be the return for me huh?” he said which make me rolled my eyes, same old Jhonny!

“On our next project, I will give half of my share!” I said and I can hear his simple laugh in the air.

“Alright, so, who do you want me to look for?” he asks

“Arnold De Mesa,” I said

“Oh, the husband of the woman who committed suicide!” he said that surprised me

“How did you know that?” I ask

“It is all over the news geez! And he is actually staying at Falcon crimson hotel base on the news!” he explains

“Alright then… wait what? So it is just in the news? f**k!” I said

“Oh yes! And a deal is a deal Baby!!! Hahahhahah…!!! Got to go!” he said while laughing, damn that bastard! s**t, he got me there damn it!!

I try to calm myself from the money I will lose to Jhonny because of that nonsense thing that Ms. Bernards is trying to mess with!

Since I cannot do something about it, I just manage to just shrug on it and ride in a cab going to that hotel.

It just took me half an hour to get there and try to just get off at the back of the hotel; upon getting out of the cab I was stunned to see Mr. De Mesa running his ass out of the hotel from the back door.

He seemed disturbed and very scared about something then I saw Ms. Bernards walking seriously that she didn’t even notice me, she seemingly chasing him, I was about to run after them but I stopped when I saw something weird in her eyes, then at her back the monster woman was hanging herself at Ms. Bernards back.

Wtf!!! Damn, this is getting serious now, so I run fast following them, they are a little too fast and when I get to the road I heard Mr. De Mesa’s voice

“Help!!!!” he shouts, and then I saw them on the third street standing at the dark part.

He was pressed at the wall with Ms. Bernards with just one hand so I quickly get near them

“Enough Mhavel, Wake up! She is just messing around your head! Wake up!” I shout at her but she didn’t even throw me a look

Damn! I really don’t have a choice this time… well actually the whole time f**k!!

I walk towards her and was about to touch her when the monster suddenly disappears from her body.

Ms. Bernards just passed out on the ground so I run towards her but I was grabbed by Mr. De Mesa and he holds my two hands up, I can see the monster at his back.

She possessed him and now she is controlling him which is a bad idea damn!

He is now holding my two hands up which confuses me, I mean he didn’t even melt and when I look at his hand, damn! He is wearing an electric glove.

So that explains! I have no way to hold on to him to kill that monster.

Then he gets something at his pocket and pulled out a Swiss knife and was about to stab me when he was choked at his back by Ms. Bernards

She holds his head then throws him away which shocks me.

I was stopped seeing how strong she is and when he was about to attack us, Ms. Bernards kicked him to his head then throw another kick at his stomach.

He was thrown at the wall but I can see that even though his body is already bursting with blood he continuously attacking her but I meddled in between them then hold his face.

I can see that the spirit of that woman monster suddenly melted in the air.

And Mr. De Mesa just passed out.

I walk towards her who is now turning her back on me.

“Hey…thank you for that,” I said

“I should be thank you if it wasn’t for you I may be able to do stupid things or even worst,” she said while still not facing me

“Welcome, but Ms. Bernards, why are you not facing me? Are you okay?” I ask

“Y-Yes… just call the police, Mr. De Mesa is still the killer of his wife though there is something there why he did that” she explains still not looking at me

I am pissed now so I walk towards her then makes her look at me by pulling her shoulder and expecting to see what I just saw earlier which is why she keeps on hiding it from me but I was disappointed when I didn’t see anything, just a cute lips, pointed nose and a very lovely normal eyes.

Shit… maybe I was just imagining things earlier; I mean who would have that kind of…Nah! It's just my imagination.

“What is wrong with you!” she said then rolled her eyes on me.

She just walks away and didn’t want to throw a glimpse on me when I suddenly ask her a question

“What was happen back there?” I ask and she just stops walking and takes a minute to look at me.

She walks straight back at me then holds my arms and pulled me to the corner since the police just arrived.

“He is the killer, he killed Susan since she is uncontrollable that time, that sort of spirit is actually invading her body, she attack Arnold and he fights back, he choked her until death but that bastard spirit suddenly left Susan’s body and so she was killed by him” she explains

“What a tragic,” I said and feel sad about what happen I mean what will happen to their kids.

“I don’t like making an interview but I have this, I record here all our conversation earlier,” she said then handed me the recorder

“Okay, maybe you need to go home now, it been a long day for you Ma’am,” I said and she just looks at me for a seconds then walk away towards her car.

I try to listen first to the recorder and…

“I must own this body! I must get her power!!!”

Damn! Is that…its Ms. Bernards voice and seem like…fuck, it’s the monster who is actually talking which is inside her body.

I can't submit this recorder to the police like this, I need to edit it first.

I head my way home and I try to connect the recorder to my laptop,

All I can hear after her conversation with Mr. De Mesa is a loud shout of him, I guess she is now attacking him.

I can hear the sound of the door and I guess he just escapes.

“Aaaaahhhh!! I can't move!!! You f*****g woman! I will own your body!! I will get all your power!!! You can't fight me!!!” it is her voice but the monsters thoughts

Dang! What power? Do Ms. Bernards have power? Damn it's really confusing now!

I get my blank CD and copy the recorder without those possessing scenes, I mean it is really hard to explain that part, and Ms. Bernards doesn’t seem to know this, I guess she wasn’t listening to this yet and as of now, I can't let her knows this.

Fuck this…why suddenly we are being involved in this kind of s**t! Sometimes I am still asking myself what the hell is really happening but I can't deny the fact the all these are real.

When I am done copying the record suddenly someone knocks.

“Come in!” I said and it Dad

“Yes, Dad?” I ask

“Well, I just want to inform you about our next project,” he said

“Sure Dad, who is the next target?” I ask

“The Arsena’s house,” he said that stops me

“What? Why do you want that to be our next target?” I ask in confusion

“Because I said so,” He said and just about to get out of my room when I suddenly stand from my chair and ask him

“Why? Do you want to get revenge? What for Dad? About them putting you in prison?” I said that stops him

“You have no idea what’s been like to be in prison and left your mom and you doing all those dangerous projects,” he said while still facing the door

“I know how bad you felt when you left us because of them, but you also know that you have committed a crime!” I said that makes him walk towards me to face me

“I didn’t do that! I didn’t kill their son!” he said with his fierce eyes looking at me

“Oh yeah and how long are you going to make yourself believe that? Dad, we just had our freedom from them, they don’t know who we are now and where we are, you already pay for that sin so why don’t you just let go of that?” I said looking straight at him

“You don’t get it! We will do this project and that is final! Or else you may have to leave it to us” he said then quickly walk towards the door then get out.

I was left hanging, I don’t know what is going with him this time I can't let them do this alone,

Arsenas are not an easy enemy, I know they still looking for my Dad.

Fuck! How can I even stop him!

I am fighting with myself when my cellphone rings

“Hello,” I said

“Thanks for looking after me earlier and I am sorry for what happen, you see I just want to give justice about my mother’s death, she wasn’t died by illness she was killed by that woman in black that approaches and whispered to her, after that she acts weird and later get sick and weak then die, not everything that we see within our eyes is real, sometimes the truth is just buried deep down within, Goodnight Sanhia” she said then end the call

“Sometimes the truth is just buried deep down within” I mumbled then stare at our family picture.

I guess there is something there within that Dad didn’t tell me and I am going to find out!
