CHAPTER 16

SANHIA POV

“Did you see it don’t you?” Mhavel asks which makes me shut myself, I mean I don’t know what to react  I just simply nod at her.

I am actually terrified of what I saw, I don’t know what is in her, I am thinking if it has to do with the monster who keeps on wanting her body.

I remember on the recorder that the human-wolf spirit mention that she has power, is that eyes are the power? Damn!

I just act the same and remain myself calm, I mean she is still herself, nothing change.

I was cried my heart out about Vincent’s incident and how tragic his life is, it has been lonely and sad for him to trap in this office.

Even I am not sure I did my best to fulfill his wish, to just disappear from here, so far I sent him off properly but it gives me sadness that I will never forget.

When we are done, we quickly get out of the building and head my way to the public vehicle area, I am actually walking when Mhavel approaches me stopping her car in front of me.

“Ahmm, I will go for a drink and have late dinner, you can join me if you like,” she said and since I don’t want to look like I am terrified, I choose to join her.

We just eat at the restaurant and she orders for me.

We talk about the location of the secretary and I mention that I already know where she is when Jhonny discuss that with me.

“hey Sanie, sorry if I called you late, you mention to me the incident of the death of Arsenas son, which is related to your father’s case, the thing is Mrs. Arsenas secretary is still alive” –Jhonny

“What!? Are you sure about that? But they accused Dad of double murder, killing the secretary and their son”

“Yes, but the secretary thingy is just a lie, there is a CCTV footage of her five years ago that she is still alive and I try to match it from what I got earlier, she is in the Quezon City Hospital but was suddenly disappear but don’t worry I will find her again as soon as possible, though there is a slight sad truth I have found” –Jhonny

“What? I am literally shaking right now about what happened to Dad, I mean I can't let it pass”

“The Arsenas is making a way to hide the secretary in any possible they can, they even pay all the facilities and establishment just to hide the secretary, also they bribe the attorney of your Dad before”

 “Those Bastards! Please Jhonny do your best to locate her, thanks”

As I remember she was found at Quezon City and I told it to Mhavel though she seems interested in my relationship with Jhonny my God!!

I just told her what she needs to know and I manage to change the topic.

I ask her about her eyes though I am scared that she might be avoidant or am I invading her privacy it seems she is okay with it.

She told me how does she got it and it is really weird indeed though it isn’t different for me anymore especially we have been dealing with different creatures and events the past few weeks.

The good thing is that somehow no one other knows about it.

After we eat, we head our way out of the restaurant and while we are on the road we talk further about her eyes, and I promise her not to tell anyone.

For the first time, I felt her trust in me, somehow I can say that maybe friendship between us may have a chance.

When she brought me home I hurriedly get into the house and saw my parents are waiting for me outside.

“What happens? Do you really need to go home this late?” Mom ask

“Apparently yes, I need to, hmmm Mhavel and I are close to the truth, one day Dad we will get your revenge in a proper way,” I said then walk inside the house going straight to my room.

I am really tired, it has been a tiresome night, I just really want to sleep and just forget for a little while what has happened earlier.

When I remember Vincent I can't help myself to cry…

Why do there are people who need to suffer the injustice?

Hmmm….I didn’t know I am already fell asleep.

I am still groggy sleeping when I was awake by my cellphone, it rings continuously so even I want to just ignores it I have no choice but to pick it up and answer whoever the hell is calling me and disturb me at this hour!

“Hello!” I said without even looking at the screen

“Hey Sanie” Jhonny greeted me

“What the f**k Jhon… I am still tired and sleeping!” I said and was about to end the call when he said something

“Waiittt…I have found her, I locate her place, the secretary,” he said that suddenly awakes me

“Really? Wow! So where is she?” I excitingly ask

“She is at Montgomery townhouse in Pasig, this time I am sure though there is a small problem,” he said

“What?” I ask

“First I have found that the footage of you and your boss at Caloocan has been known by Arsenas, I don’t know what is going on with you and your boss there but I guess you guys has already found out by the Arsenas couple since at the CCTV you guys appeared getting in and out of the building so it may be bad for us especially if they will get back to you! also Mr. Morgan Savin the personal secretary of Mr. and Mrs. Arsenas processed a secret and private passport, I guess this is for the secretary, her name is Minerva Escala, what I can see here is that she was being supported by them”—Jhonny

“What? s**t…hmmm alright I guess I know what we shall do next, anyway thanks Jhonny” I said then drop the call even he is still talking, I don’t want to listen since I know he would just ask me about what is going on with me and Mhavel in related to Arsenas.

I just get up and wash my face then get back to my bed and dial Mhavel’s number; I informed her about what Jhonny told me and so we decided to just go straight to the location of the secretary and she will be picking me up here.

Somehow I find the smoothness now in her personality

I just told her that I will wait for her here then end the call.

After that, I quickly prepare myself and fix my clothes to wear.

It took me 10 minutes to prepare and I am now going outside to wait for Mhavel but Jhonny suddenly arrives with a motorcycle.

“It is too early huh? I thought you already said everything on the phone?” I ask

“Your Dad commands me to get here,” he said so I got confused about what is going on and follow Jhonny going back inside.

“Hey Jhonny good thing you came,” Dad said

“What is this Dad? What is going on” I ask’

“We will create a perfect setup to fulfill the first plan of our project even without you dear” he explains

“No Dad! That is not necessary as of now please just bear with me, please listen to me we will all make it next week” I explain but he doesn’t seem to listen.

“Sorry Dear but I have waited for this!” he said

“I guess have no choice but to tell you this Dad, Ms. Minerva the secretary of Mrs. Arsenas is still alive, you were accused of double murder yet the Arsenas just hide her for you to get all the blame, right now, Mhavel and I is something for it, just trust us first Dad” I explain

“Damn those bastards!!!! Hmmm, how could they even do such things! I suffer a lot in prison for the sin that I never did! f**k them!!!” dad suddenly burst out and cries

“So, we will do the project next week?” Dad said while calming his self from crying

“Yes Dad, we can't mess this up, I mean Mhavel and I are now solving this case, we cant do the stealing at Arsenas house coz it will just trigger them to become more private and be just vanish which is not good for us” I explain

Then I guess they already heard my point, so I just fix myself again and get out of the house and I was surprised when I saw Mhavel was about to get out of the gate

“Ma’am, where are you going? I am sorry I was just discussing things with my parents and Jhonny”

She didn’t seem to listen to me for a second, then turn her face to me

“Oh yes, I was actually calling you for how many times but you are not answering so I enter your gate and was about to knock but I forgot something inside the car so there, I was about to go back to my car when you call me” she explains and I get it, though she is acting strange right now.

“Okay, so can we go now?” I ask

“Yeah sure,” she said then walks towards her car and so I followed her.

She just enters the car and so did I.

“So, where is the Secretary?” she suddenly asks

“In Montgomery townhouse at Pasig,” I said then she didn’t say a word after.

We travel for almost 20 minutes halfway to Pasig when she starts to speak

“Since it is traffic, I guess it will eat a lot of time going there so why don’t we do a game, how about the fast talk?” she said that surprised me, I mean when did she get interested in some childish game?

I can't disagree of course so I just approve of it.

“Okay let me start, what do you do aside from being a secretary?” she asks

“Nothing, do you love being a CEO?” I ask

“Getting there, any sideline or hobby?” she asks

“Collecting things, Still a virgin?” I ask that makes her look at me then return her eyes at the road.

Geez…she is really weird today!

“No, Collecting like what?” she asks

“High valuable things, How many boyfriends have been?” I ask

“28 and counting, like antiques?” she asks

“Yes, when was the last time you’ve getting laid?” I ask and she looks at me again and it’s the same returning her eyes at the road right away

“When I was introduced as a new CEO, do you experience stealing when you were a child?” she asks and this time I was the one who looks at her for her question, I mean I don’t know what to answer, of course, I have been stealing when I was a kid even now that I am already adult damn!

“Yes, a boyfriend?” I ask

“No, how about now?” she asks that literally makes me swallowed my throat, I mean why did she come up with this sort of question? Shiit!

“Yes, do you feel satisfied with his shaft?” I ask and now she just suddenly stops

“You are being personal huh?” she said with a pissed on her face

“It is a fast talk of course!” I said then rolled my eyes on her and she did the same then start the engine again

“No, how often do you steal now that you are grown up?” she asks again and now I stared at her seriously then she looks at me as well

“Really that question? What does it something to do with you?” I ask

“It is a fast talk that you agree remember?” she said so I rolled my eyes again at her and of course she did the same!

“I am a thief and that is my sideline, would you believe?” I said and I can see the literal shock on her face, I don’t know why I am telling this, somehow I want to know her reaction and point of view if ever she hears it.

“Yes, why do you need to do stealing?” she asks that leaves me to wonder why she said yes

“For the money, do you mean your “Yes”?” I ask

“Yes, so you can kill as well for money if ever?” she asks and I can see the seriousness all over her face

“Killing is different from stealing, why Yes?” I ask

“I base that on what you said, have you hurt someone for stealing?” she asks

This time I feel like it's hard for me to answer it, somehow it makes me realized things within me

“Yes, knowing all this, am I not worth it to be called a good person?” I sadly ask

After my question, she suddenly stops and I was about to shout at her coz I almost hit my nose at the front glass shield when she pointing something using her lips so I slowly look at it.

We are now in front of Montgomery townhouse, I didn’t know that the time would fly that fast while we are doing the game.

She just gets out of the car first so I did the same.

We both staring now at the gate, I guess the next thing we both need to know is how to get in at the townhouse.

“So how would we get in?” I ask

“I can right away buy a vacant space, I guess the customer is always right and prioritize,” she said roaming her eyes around

I just shrug on it and was about to walk towards the gate when she speaks again

“Stealing something you don’t own is like killing someone’s ownership which is more than a life to others and being called a good person is counted by doing good things which is being a human, and being a human doesn’t require to have a perfect life, sometimes we lie, sometimes we hide, and sometimes we steal… but most of the time we have a choice to do something better, you don’t need to be a good person you just need to be a better one and it is all on you”

She said that leaves me hanging while she continuously walks towards the gate.
